[Rant] Pendulum Call

Discard 1 card; add 2 "MagicianPendulum Monsters with different names from your Deck to your hand. Until the end of your opponent's next turn after this card resolves, "Magician" cards in your Pendulum Zones cannot be destroyed by card effects. You can only activate 1 "Pendulum Call" per turn. You cannot activate this card if you activated the Pendulum Effect of a "Magician" Pendulum Monster this turn.

 

Alright Konami, I GET you have to make Insight less broken if this card would be real.  Great.  But WHY THE ACTUAL funk is it immunity from EVERYTHING FOR TWO funking TURNS?!  You could have made it "[...] be destroyed by your card effects [...]" AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE.

 

I've lost one too many games simply because I couldn't nuke the funking scales of my opponent and lost either that turn or the next turn.

funk this card.  To 0 please.

 

Discuss if you want.  I just needed to scream internally for a bit.

That's just a programming oversight you can use to stall out a game forever. You wouldn't be allowed to continuously do so in a real game on grounds of both slow play and that you are not allowed to activate an effect you know will do nothing.

 

Also, Card is completely stupid. Would not mind if it was banned.

yeah setting up scale is supposed to be setup needed for pendulum, but with card like this and dracorivals its become way too easy....plus this one also giving protection to your scale, if they want to prevent insight they could just put no activate clause on the scale....no need to give protection effect that also extend to opponent's turn....

 

why rota keep getting hit while card like this are okay are beyond me....wouldnt mind if this (and dracorivals) go to 0

 

 

 

Funny thing is that Insight can activate an infinite ammount of times after you activate this without destroying anything (at least in YGOPro). I wonder if there is any way to abuse that.

 
well you can make infinite loop with flare metal and N14, although it would be incosistent as hell..

If there's something that would change (IE: A card that gets a counter when a spell card or effect is activated), you can. It's not a programming oversight.

 

Honestly, this is the most overrated and overhated card. Yeah, it's great, but Wisdom-Eye and Apex Avian are the real issues.
