Aerion Brightflame
So does discover basically just give you a random card that fufils the conditions? EDIT; The hat seems hilarious. Not nessicarly good because it costs 2, but still hilarious. Might be okay in arena.
Althemia
So does discover basically just give you a random card that fufils the conditions? It reveals 3 cards that fulfil the condition and allows you to put one of them in your hand.
Aerion Brightflame
That's a weird mechanic. Incredibly strong potentially, but weird. It actually kinda makes me like the spider, since it technically gives you a turn 2-3 curve, which is probably scary in some places.
mido9
You cant get cards from discover outside your class btw Mages get mage cards and neutrals, rogues get rogue cards and neutrals, etc. Also, https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/3rt1oe/polygons_article_on_the_new_expansion_has_a_lot/ Polygon apparantely kinda spoiled a few cards? Aerion Brightflame
Torch seems like it could be legit. Especially in say Freeze Mage where the game gets dragged out. In class for discover seems weird, but I like it. Definately a strong mechanic in theory, given the innate consitency (Is it always 3 different cards, or can you get duplicates?) mido9
Brann has some of the highest potential for a card since thaurissan. Nefarian for 4, twilight drake for a 4/21, azure drake for draw 2, gain 10 armor with shieldmaiden, summon 4 boom bots, draw six cards with varian, and a ton of other comboes. Althemia
http://www.hearthpwn.com/news/1081-the-league-of-explorers-hearthstones-thirdEvery card spoiled to date. Holy sheet Unearthed Raptor is the nuts.
Aerion Brightflame
Everyfin is awesome disgusts me on many levels. Tomb Pillage looks like a pretty solid 4 drop tbh (It's in Rogue right?), like it's beefy, admittedly on the wrong side, but it gives coin to the class that uses it best which is silly. Pit Snake has to have value somewhere. It's an aggresive 1 drop that retains some semblance of power through-out the game. Stuffs looking interesting thus far
Brinolovania
How is nobody talking about Golden Monkey yet? Yeah, it's gonna be gimmicky, and yeah, it isn't gonna be good...but you can turn your ENTIRE DECK into Legendaries. That's gonna be so fun to screw around with. As for the other cards... Jeweled Scarab seems like a worse Novice Engineer most of the time. I don't see many times you'd want to get a random card rather than one you put in your deck, and Novice Engineer isn't good anyway. Murloc Tinyfin may actually be pretty good. Given how much buffs Murlocs can give each other, being able to just drop another body seems good. RIP Wisp though, powercreep OP. I dunno about Huge Toad...it may be a bit better than Flame Juggler just because it can be used in Deathrattle decks, but given how bad Juggler is, I don't have much faith. Tomb Spider sounds like it might be pretty good. 3/3 for 4 sucks, but it may be worth the card? Putting the beast in hand rather than on board may be too slow, though, and of course the variation in value among beasts is really high. Wobbling Runts seems kinda meh honestly. It just...doesn't seem to do that much. Maybe can set up a Savage Roar or Bloodlust play, but that seems unreliable. Inferior to Piloted Sky Golem in most cases IMO, and that card isn't even run. Sir Finley Mrrgglton seems cute, but probably useless. I can't think of a time when you'd want to give up your starting hero power, especially when you don't get to choose which one you get. Maybe he'll get some use because he's a Murloc with HP? Seems bad, though. Brann Bronzebeard does seem pretty good. Novice Enginner, Azure Drake, Twilight Drake, Unearthed Raptor, Discover stuff...this could be REALLY strong. It could also end up sucking, though, like Rivendere. The fact that Battlecries are faster than Deathrattles does give me hope for Brann, though. I do like the fact that Blizz is making more low-mana Legendaries, even if they are adventure cards. Reno Jackson is so incredibly WTFy. It's stats will greatly affect how good it is, but I could see it being interesting. At the very least, it'll give silly gimmick decks a way to deal with aggro. I say this because I can't see any serious deck being willing to build highlander. I quite like Explorer's Hat. Infinite buffs sound nice, although it's gonna be too slow to make it into Face Hunter lists. Could be pretty good in midrange/control Hunter. Also plays very well with Lock and Load. Dart Trap could be good in certain matchups, but seems kinda meh to me. Unearthed Raptor has a TON of potential. 3 mana 3/4 is always good, and the ability to instantly get a Deathrattle could be crazy. I, for one, am excited to test me some midrange Death Rogue. Pit Snake sucks mad dick. Tomb Pillager honestly seems really good. I've tested Cutpurse in Rogue, and the extra coins help a lot. The issue with Cutty is that he often dies before getting to attack, but Pillager is almost guaranteed to go off and get you a free Combo activator. Combine that with a good body and Deathrattle support, and we may have a good deck on our hands. Torch is...another Mage damage spell. With a high upside that requires luck to get. I think it's gonna be good in Freeze, not sure about Tempo. Maybe, though. Sacred Trial gives Mysterious Challenger even more toys. Great. I don't think it'll be too good, really. Aggro decks are the ones that are gonna have a big board to let it activate, but they're also the decks that have weenie minions to throw away into it. Not too impressed. Obsidian Destroyer seems pretty good. It's a Huffer with a better stat line. The issue is that it's competing for deck space with Dr Boom, and I'm not sure if he's up to the task of replacing the doctor. Everyfin is Awesome actually seems really funking good. Murlocs can swarm hard and fast, and +2/+2 is HUGE. I legitimately think this card will be able to bring Shaman back into the meta with a cry of MRLGLLGLRGLRLGL. Overall, I'm not too impressed with a lot of the new cards. However, I think this could give us viable Shaman and Rogue archetypes finally, and there are some really fun cards (GOLDEN MONKEY HYPE). Hopefully we'll get some more cool Discover effects like Finley. I'm excited to see what exlse Blizz has cooked up for us. Priest cards when? :C
Aerion Brightflame
http://www.hearthpwn.com/news/1082-whats-new-for-hearthstone-blizzcon-panel-live Containing more new things. Also I love that Shaman 1 drop. And Summon Stone seems silly, yet hilarious at the same time.
.Rai
I can't tell whether sticking Unearthed Raptor in the Eggs deck is too cute or not. It seems powerful enough.
Shradow
No mention of the trailer? Leeroy being there is pretty cool, for whatever reason he is there. I like the theme of this a lot, and the cards seem generally cool. I like the Discover mechanic as well, and while I'm glad it's not just a straight up searching effect, I'm sure there'll be complaints about Blizz adding more RNG. I love Reno Jackson, the stats aren't horrible, and if you get his effect off (either by counting cards and knowing when you only have 1 copy of each card left, or run a deck that only has 1 of each card) it can do wonders. Tunnel Trogg is a kinda nice 1 drop for Shaman, I'm glad it's not just +1 Attack each time you Overload. Reliquary Seeker will see some use in Dreadsteed decks, I imagine. 5/5 for 1, think of the value! Brann Bronzebeard can do some scary things if you can keep him alive. 2/4 for 3 is average and it's nice he has decent health, and since he's pretty cheap, later in the game he can at least be combined with at least 1 other Battlecry minion in the same turn to guarantee his effect. I kinda hope Everyfin is Awesome is actually awesome in practice, it seems at least somewhat useful on paper. Imagine combining it with Bloodlust in the same turn. Entomb seems like it could be lulzy. Probably not as good as Mind Control, though, since if you wanted to cast it on anything valuable it would end up costing more overall mana if you wanted to play both cards, plus its effect is delayed compared to Mind Control. Elise Starseeker and her Golden Monkey stuff is a gimmick, but possibly useful. The Golden Monkey himself is pretty nice for its cost, and if you play this later in the game and get the right Legendaries it could work. TB's Decks of Legends have all been pretty bad, but those have to start at 1 mana where they can't curve out well. I want to like Fossilized Devilsaur, but I think it's pretty meh... Althemia
I like a lot of these cards, but I have concerns for quite a few of the cards in this set already. My biggest problem comes with Mounted Raptor... Did Druid really need another Piloted Shredder that's instead a Beast? x:
Shradow
Actually, I'm wondering if Reno Jackson will have the yellow border when his effect will activate. It would certainly make things more convenient. Imagine getting him as part of the Golden Monkey, though, that'd be pretty great.
