Brandis72
I'm still not sure where to go with this deck (currently using an AHL/Augustus build), as there are tons of different engines that lead to different styles of play, but I'm enjoying it throughout. Here's the list (DN photo system not working for some reason):2 Bestiari2 Lacquari2 Darius2 Equeste3 Augustus2 Prisma3 Test Tiger 1 MMS (Moon Mirror Shield)3 Forbidden Lance1 Book of Moon3 AHL3 Proving Grounds1 Foolish1 Dark Hole (too poor for Raigeki)3 Upstart1 BTH1 Compulse3 Chariot1 Warning2 CotH Thinking of adding Dimensional Prisons, but I'm not sure what to cut. This deck has problems dealing with floaters.
Progenitor
Augustus is really bad in my opinion unless you are trying some weird Trade-In build. It has super situational utility on a big body, but that's not really needed in the long run since the two counter each other (the monster summoned by augustus is shuffled at the end phase, which means if you summon augustus on your opponent's turn you don't really get any use out of the spam effect. I don't really understand how this build is supposed to work then. My personal advice would be to go for a more Utility Secutor Turbo focused build; that is you run a bunch of beasts with some at 1 or 2 in order to have a wide variety of effects and insane spam ability. The core of this engine is:x2-3 Bestiarix2 Laquarix2-3 Prismax2-3 Dariusx2 Coach Soldier Wolfbark (Fantastic Rank 4 Engine when you have Laquari in grave)x1 Secutorx3 Test Tigerx3 Moon Mirror Shield (Makes Secutor OP as all living hell)x2-3 Waboku Then just fill in the blanks, for example, maybe:x2 E-Call / AHLx3 Proving Groundx2 Respite (VERY good if you run a higher monster count. I do so on purpose to almost always make this card live.)x2 Tenki(insert staple S/T here)(insert other ideas here) Then just add your 1-2 of's for utility:x1-2 Equestex1 Retiarix1 Murmillox1 Augustus(these are the only other good ones IMO, though some others have potential at 1-2) Also you didn't post your Extra Deck. if you don't have access to one, then I can understand why you would use an Augustus turbo. However the Extra Deck is what makes glads so threatening. x1 Heraklinos (This + Charriot = game usually. Note that it cannot re-shuffle itself so it's only really use is to lock down your win.)x1 Nerokius (2800 Armades that can't be destroyed by battle and gets you 2 free beasts after it does battle? Sign me the freak up)x2-3 Gyzarus (Best card in the deck by a longshot. Super easy to spam. Abusable by Call of the Haunted. Really helps glads actually net some advantage)x1 Essedarii (absolute garbage but you never know when you may need a generic 2500 body)x10-9 Rank 4 engine
Brandis72
Believe it or not, I actually used to run Secutor/Murmillo (no Retiari, since it probably won't be very useful November format), but when I added Augustus, I took them out to prevent monster brick hands.I really don't like the FF engine, as it slows down the deck (it needs it's damn N.Ses, and I can't really fuse Prisma with Bear...).The reason why I began playing Augustus is because he speeds up certain hands, and lets you make Felgrand, which can be pretty useful (although I don't really know what to do to stop Kozmo; nothing seems to work).Augustus is terrible at 1, since he bricks without another copy.Might drop to 2.I didn't post my extra because it's tiny due to budget issues (2 Gyzarus, 1 Heraklinos, 1 Nerokius, 1 Felgrand).Waboku is pretty mediocre TBH; there are better cards to run (Shrink).I'm not sure about MMS: it could be good, but it's VERY easy to stop, and isn't a quick spell.Honestly, I'm just hoping that Rescue Cat gets errata ed, or that a new GB fusion (that dumps GBs/adds Chariot to hand) comes out. Thanks for the advice, might ditch Augustus for more traps (DPrison). Progenitor
Mirror Shield is pretty freaking godlike in the deck. Imagine a Secutor that can literally attack over everything. And every time it does you get 2 beasts for free. it's NUTS. It's like Infected Mail, except you actually get to kill stuff and can actually use Secutor with it.Waboku is a lot better than shrink in most cases because shrink relies on you actually having enough attack to get over them. If you're fighting Trains or Galaxy-Photon you're gonna have a bad tme against those larger than life bodies. Waboku is 100% guaranteed protection to trigger the effect. You can also use Defense Tactics since it does the same thing. However you have to control a face up glad beast; you can't just Set Laquari pass Waboku. Conversely though it resets itself so you can effectively never run out of them.I completely forgot about Augustus's utility as a rank 8 engine. However I still think it's too situational. It helps un-brick the one(s) you draw, but at the same time that's what Respite is for.Technically Wolfbark isn't a FF card, but I can see why one may not want to go for it. It can be EXTREMELY helpful though since it's realistically the only 1 card Xyz the deck has, and adds more Tenki targets besides just Darius and Laquari. Brandis72
For Trains, I almost won't bother talking about that match up since they're not TCG legal, and I don't know any Galaxy/Photon players. Besides, I have my staple traps to deal with HUGE beaters, and Test Tiger (thanks to Augustus)/AHL let me make M1 Gyzaruses anyways: I'm just worried that there might be Kozmo in my locals (I can't really find a way to not insta-lose, but who knows, maybe there is one). However, there is one neat thing about MMS: it deals with stuff that can't be targeted.I'll try a copy of it :).Also, I've kept on testing with Augustus, and, I've got to say, I'm pretty impressed. He's really helping my slow hands, and Felgrand is a beast.Don't think I'll cut him
