Like, if they are keeping these viewpoints to themselves, it's the better choice to just do nothing about it. The truth coming out will ruin things for them; Whilst you can argue they deserve it, there's probably people dependant on them that don't. 

 

If the KKK aren't actively doing anything, just let them be. It's a horrible thing to say I must admit, but it's better than literally ruining the lives of 1000 people over there viewpoints that they don't want to actively disclose and calling it justice.

Racist sects are always going to exist. Whether through fear, or ignorance, or people just wanting someone to blame, you'll get racists, and they will find people who share said views. And in the internet age, you'll get groups of people who thus band together in an organised fashion. 

 

What you don't get all the time, are racists sects that have very clear history that defaces any possible attempt they can have to ever try and gain political power, or really a way to act on said beliefs. Like, the KKK can do nothing but preach there views in obscurity, because the backlash they'd get for doing so publicly is too large because they are a group that has done awful awful things. 

 

In effect it's an enemy you know argument; Without the history, an organised racist sect is infinitely more dangerous than the KKK could ever hope to be in this day and age. 

 

It's by no means the right choice, or even the choice that feels satisfying, but it's the one that's probably smartest in the long run. 

 

Plus you know, families that shouldn't get dicked over because one of them has stupid beliefs.

No, I recently watched a programme about the KKK, and they said in interviews that they were trying to start a race war in America. It was scary as hell to watch and the KKK are still dangerous and I hope Anon. does drop docs.

Without the history they don't exist. A new racist sect incapable of doing "awful awful things" clearly wouldn't be "infinitely more dangerous" than the KKK, and if they could do things as awful as the KKK did then they'd have the KKK's notoriety.

​Grave stupidity can have grave repercussions. Ideally, it would just be the KKK members themselves who would be held accountable and their families would be allowed to speak for themselves or would have distanced themselves from their militant racist of a relative to begin with.

They've actually been active. In recent months they've been spamming flyers to predominantly white neighborhoods in several states. But I don't think they've done much in terms of activism.
