Hello, fine peoples!

Here's the deck I'm planning to use for today's locals tourney. Honestly, it kinda built itself since at this point the only cards to my name are the Hazys, some Ghostricks, the Yuya/Reiji Starter Decks + an assortment of a few more random cards.

3x Fencing Fire Ferret

2x Brushfire Knight

3x Goka, the Pyre of Malice

2x Manticore of Darkness

1x Volcanic Queen

3x Hazy Flame Cerberus

3x Hazy Flame Hydra

3x Hazy Flame Sphynx

3x Hazy Flame Griffin

2x Hazy Flame Peryton

1x Hazy Flame Hyppogrif

Spells:

3x Hazy Pillar

2x Onslaught of the Fire Kings

2x Circle of the Fire Kings

1x Rekindling

Traps:

3x Call of the Haunted

3x Hazy Glory

1x Bottomless Trap Hole

Extra:

3x Hazy Flame Basiltrice

Side:

1x Dark Dust Spirit

3x MST

2x Dark Hole

2x Monster Reincarnation

1x Onslaught of the Fire Kings

3x Trap Hole

2x Mirror Force

1x Scrap-Iron Scarecrow

Other cards I have:

Dust Tornado

Magic Cylinder

The Calculator

Burst Rebirth

Smashing Ground

Kaiser Glider

...So, yeah, I'm definitely not going in with an expectation to win maybe more than a couple games, but I think my deck might catch a player off-guard and they might accidentally hit their own cards if they forget the Hazys can't be targeted. So, anyway, yeah. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know. If I get to the place early, I might be able to get a couple more cards before the tourney starts.

the only thing i might be able to suggest going by your current amount of cards would be to take out a single brushfire knight for either smashing ground, another onslaught, or dark hole. brushfire has it's uses, but dark hole is better overall removal, onslaught is something you want as early as possible whether or not you draw pillar, and smashing gives you non targeting removal if you run across something too strong to beat over.

Thanks Vlaine! I tried a few practices draws and scenario runthroughs with your suggestions, but ultimately found the second Knight to be better in most cases. It holds synergy with Circle and CotH as well as giving me a proactive first-turn play if I somehow don't draw Ferret, Cerberus or Pillar. Not to mention it keeps my monster count high for Sphynx.

I'll say that Smashing and Hole have better uses late in the game, so if I'm up against a more grindy deck, I'll definitely put 'em in. But for first game, I think I'll hold to all the consistency I can get. Thanks again!
