I've been trying to figure out a new commander deck in the RW colors and I think this is the best one. Plus it lets me do something I haven't done yet with a commander deck and thats build a deck to kill people with commander damage which I think Iroas should be really good at.

So any recommendations and advice on how to build?

If you're focusing on commander damage, definitely look into anything and everything that grants ridiculous amounts of devotion. Gisela is a sweet damage doubler, Aurelia provides an extra combat step, etc etc. There's very little need to Tron up Iroas due to how many universal damage amplification exists in red and how easy it is to de-tron Iroas.

Auras add devotion, and his indestructible helps protect him from removal.

For Boros, I always preferred Jor Kadeen.

I've been looking through Auras and a lot of them seem pretty weak. And yea, the indestructible is the major selling point for me. Jor is certainly good, but I figure I already have two token based decks (which I assume he is best in) and this deck is likely going to have some too, so I wanted to do something a little different and focus on the commander kill which I think this is really good at.

Thats why I'm looking at equipment. Even if they fall off it isn't that hard to rebuild a monster. This also means I biasing the equip costs to be as low as possible.

Red and white favor combat strategies and an equipment archtype. You'll probably find the lack of available card advantage engines in R/W really hold it back though. I had tons of problems with my Aurelia deck keeping up with the blue or green decks late game. Most of the good colorless advantage engines are expensive and hard to find.

Then, may I introduce you to the combo of Aggravated Assault + Sword of Feast and Famine. Guaranteed to make your opponents so angry they pop a boner or your money back!

Double strike and extra combat steps were how I built Iroas.

Yea, thats the direction I'm figuring for. Looking for a solid creature base now since I think I have enough equipment to just let Iroas run someone over if he gets through.

I'm using Infiltration Lens, Puresteel Paladin, Chandra, Skull Clamp, and the Red Siege all as sources of card advantage. One of the things I always look very hard at when I build a commander deck is making sure I have ways to keep getting cards.

I was already considering Assault since it seems solid with the decks plan so the interaction with Sword just makes it a lock.
