Pokemon Gijinka: The Fallen God [IC/PG-16/Not Accepting]

Recommended Posts

Brooke followed toward the back of the group, out of the eye of the authority. It was instinct engraved in her muscle memory from years spent dodging guards in Deku, and she doubted it would ever fully leave her. She allowed herself to be pulled along by Dora, nodding and dropping a handful of Poke in donations when asked (-50 Poke).

This place gave her the heebie jeebies. She had never been the biggest fan of the Dark-type Gijinka she’d met, and now she had been teleported directly into their oh-so-humble abode. When they were told to go explore the city, Brooke was more than ready to leave.

“Thank you,” she ground out respectfully, wishing Denku hadn’t asked about the marketplace and delayed them. They could have just found it on their own.

Team Alola, Day 7, Northshore

Marie had just barely been able to get the covers onto the bed before the door opened and the woman came in. She looked up at the bed, then down to Marie, then back towards the Wailord. "Hm. Sweetie I suppose...you did okay. For a child you did quite good actually. But I don't think I can give you full pay for this job. Customer satisfaction is very important sweetie and that customer does not look very satisfied." With that she gave Marie a, down-graded, 150 Poke for her job and sent her on the way.

The group would all meet back up near evening. There was motion in the distance as people began preparing for beach bonfires. As the beach was the biggest draw in the city the nightlife wasn't quite as hectic as during the daylight but there were still people who enjoyed the atmosphere of the beach at night. It was still several hours before the sun set but some early birds were making sure they had places snagged.

The group would need to eat soon, after a hard day work, but they would otherwise be free to do as they liked.

Team Mac, Day 16, Southshore

After getting a meal, paid for by Kazo, and sleeping off the damage done to them throughout the battle, the group would find the next morning to be...quiet.

Melody had slipped away in the night, much to the sadness of many of the people there, but no one seemed to realize what went down the night before. In fact they all seemed to be in a state of slight disorientation about it. As if everyone, barring the trio, had lost any memory of the huge fight that had taken place.

Mac was slightly grumpy throughout the day. It seemed to stem, from her grumblings, from the fact that no one else got to see and remember her shining heroic moments.

She didn't let the other two take much time in the city, an hour at most, before she dragged them off towards the dock. As they neared it she realized that she had no idea how they were meant to cross the water. As far as she could tell there weren't any boats there last time they were at the water.

And that's when she noticed the Politoed from before on a fishing boat. Where the boat had been hiding she had no idea but she knew this was their chance. "Hey! Uh...Old guy!" She called out, running towards the dock. "Waaaaaaait!"

The Politoed turned towards the group and waved jovially. "Well hello! What can I do for you find young folk today?"

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 28, Mioter

Hey, is there like a marketplace or something? If you point me in the direction of it, I'll get out of your hair. Might as well start my search in a logical place,"

The Absol gave Denku a look of annoyance. "I'm not a travel guide." He said with an impatient click of his tongue. "Grab a map at the entrance it'll show you what you need."

Before the group fully left the Spiritomb spoke once more. "You're Brooke, correct?....I don't know your situation but don't cause any trouble." It seemed to be an out of place thing to say, unless the Spiritomb knew something he wasn't letting on, but he refused to speak more and the group would have to leave without getting any sort of answer.

As they left for the market, Dora would have to be reigned in to keep from running off into the distance at every opportunity. The atmosphere was many times more friendly the moment the left the Shadow Guard's HQ. In fact people went out of their way to greet the group and wish them a good day. The Psychic types of the city in particular seemed quite friendly. So much so that they offered food and drink to the group, particularly the children, with bright smiles.

And then a voice cut through everything. "Ssssstop right there!" A Seviper, who would be familiar to several of the group, stepped out in front of them. Eyes boring into Easter. "I sssstill haven't paid you back for what you did, sssscumbag!" He said, pointing at the Sylveon and hissing.

And then another Gijinka, this time a Zangoose, came in and clonked him on top of the head. "Phineas you almost got thrown out once already and I am not going to help your sorry ass again." She looked over at the group for the first time. She seemed to vaguely recognize Easter and Fawkes...and then her eyes went to Brooke. Said eyes narrowed and she raised a hand up to Brooke's height, slowly lowering it until it was at a height more suited for a younger woman. Then she laughed and smacked Phineas again. "Well I'll be damned, if it isn't Brooke. Long time no see, kid."

She then noticed Dora, who was at Brooke's side, and her eyebrows shot up. "Don't tell me you got a kid of your own now?" Then to Denku. "And who's this punk?"

Team Showdown, Day 26, Mount Icecrown

Isole knelt down near Scarlet and scooped up a bit of the snow nearby. She used it to clean out the wound, which thankfully wasn't very deep, on Scarlet's shoulder. "The snow here is clean. Trust me." Isole said. And in fact, after a sharp pain, Scarlet would notice that her wound wasn't bleeding as much after Isole's treatment. "Needs bandaging." Isole looked up at Tianzi. "Help." She said simply.

Once they had patched up the girl, which didn't take long, the group would be on their way again. Isole following the very obvious tracks left behind by Taiga. Before they could get far, however, Isole was struck suddenly by several watery projectiles.

A Greninja leapt from the cliffs above them and landed about a dozen feet away, one arm on the ground and the other raised towards the group. "So you're the ones who defeated those at the base. This mountain is a sacred place and the unworthy must stay away!"

----

Taiga in the meantime would find herself dropping down ten feet into a more spacious cavern than would be expected from the small opening. The ceiling was nearly twenty feet high and the room was half as wide as it was long. There was what seemed to be a pathway thirty feet from the spot Taiga entered from.

She would notice the fox right away, running towards that pathway.

Or rather running towards what was next to the pathway.

There was what seemed to be a Gijinka. From his icy fur and large frame it would appear to be an Abomasnow. However there was something especially feral looking about them. And the moment that Taiga landed they would let out a roar and a Hail storm would kick up and fill up the cavern.

Team Karaoke, Day 20, Adarid Arena

Jabari charged as he noticed Clotilde bracing for the impact. The Shockwave hit her, doing less than normal damage, though she was at such low health that even that much was nearly enough to stop her.

The Zebstrika was intent to finish this up in the next attack. He would bring her down right then and there....

But the Earthquake reached him before he reached her. He braced himself at the last moment as he was tossed into the air and dropped back to the ground.

The Godslayer struggled to move. Though it seemed he was slowly making his way up he would fall back down before getting into even a sitting position. Even so he was still conscious. He had to get up. He had to win....

"I think that's that then." A young, almost pixie-like, voice spoke up. Appearing in between Clotilde and Jabari was a Gijinka whose small body radiated great power. "It was a thrilling battle and yet...no victor? How exciting!"

"The Avatar of Victory." Jabari muttered, forcing himself up and onto a knee. "Why have you come now?"

The Gijinka, Victini, looked at the Zebstrika. "Why would I not? This fight is over. Even if one of you won now you'd be in no condition to continue. This battle is over, Jabari, and you're going to have to accept that."

"No. I cannot. I don't have the option to surrender!" Jabari said, getting to his feet and heading for Victini.

The Legend pouted. "Fine be that way." She said and flung her body towards Jabari, crashing her head into the Zebstrika and sending him flying across the arena. After he landed he did not stand up again.

"Do you wanna have a go, too?" Victini said, looking at Clotilde with a playful smirk.

-----

"I don't know exactly what you're going on about..." He turned back to the arena. "but if it lets me be helpful to my friends, then I'm in." He turned back to Fiona. "So... what exactly is form change?"

Fiona had to struggle not to grin widely at the response. "O-oh you don't know? I-I thought...w-well anyway, it's like...evolution, for Rotoms, kinda. You absorb power of certain Types and become stronger...there are several locations you can go to get various powers....S-so I heard. Um...Merm for Water, Mount Icecrown for...Ice, Mido Mountain for Fire, Mowloo for Grass and Ogren for Flying. We could.."

There was a sudden shift in the air around them. Something...powerful had just appeared. Fiona's eyes wiped towards the Arena. No...no way. Was there really another one in this city? It would explain why...No, she couldn't...could she? It would be clear that Fiona was distracted and unsure what to do with herself. And Lok would feel the same sudden power surge, though he couldn't be as sure what it came from.

Kah

"I can fight," she answered. "I can fight, and I can kill. There are no pathetic dragons, let alone of my breed."

The man leaned back in his throne and studied the woman before him. "No pathetic dragons? Do you wish for me to test that?" He stood then, and took several steps towards Kah. The torches along the walls flared to life as he stepped closer. "Perhaps I should go to the City of Dragons right now and kill each and every one of them." He raised his voice. "Remember this! All Gijinka, of any Type, are pathetic in the face of my power." He leaned in closer to Kah, hovering over her. "Now tell me again. Why I should not just burn you to ash this instant. I have no need for willfully ignorant pawns."

Brooke was glad to be away from the Spiritomb the moment they left. Why does trouble always find me? She wondered if she was cursed. Deku had always been bad, so maybe it just masked her curse, and she had only noticed it once she was away. Coldharbour had been leveled no sooner had she walked into city limits, Lugia himself had stopped their ship to threaten them; now a high-ranking guard was warning her, by name, not to cause trouble.

It stung a little bit. She had done her best to leave her troublemaking days behind her when Sada had up and left. She dressed the part of a business woman, she hadn’t stolen a thing in nearly ten years except a good deal, and she was still just a no good street rat, even to complete strangers. She bit her bottom lip, clenching her hands into fists and staring at her feet. Was she doing something wrong? Why couldn’t she shake off her past?

Dora distracted her on the way to the market, chatting animatedly with the much kinder Psychic gijinka in the city, and wiggling around to try and touch everything. “Calm down, kiddo,” she laughed, pulling Dora away from a stand of vibrant trinkets that would supposedly boost an attribute of your choice. “We’ve got time. We can come back and see the rest later.” Dora continued to get distracted until someone handed a juicebox to the little Wooper, and she fixated on trying to drink that without dropping it, which was made hard by her wrapped up arms.

"Ssssstop right there!" An odd voice demanded. Brooke couldn’t place it, but it seemed familiar. It irritated a part of her deeply, and she wasn’t sure why. I’m so sick of this, she grumbled, but pushed her way to the front of the group before anyone could respond.  "I sssstill haven't paid you back for what you did, sssscumbag!" they hissed as she got to the front, glaring at Easter, obviously addressing him.

It was a Seviper gijinka. Something about him was so familiar… Brooke shook it off, pushing her between Easter and the newcomer. “I don’t know how you know each other, but you,” she regarded the Seviper in a stern manner, “need to calm dow-”

Another gijinka entered the scene and smacked him upside the head. It was a woman, tall and lean, white hair streaked with a blotch of red. Brooke trailed off, staring, suddenly understanding why the Seviper had been so familiar. Snarky, disrespectful, and lacking any tact, Phineas hadn’t changed at all. He was always the reason they almost got caught. Which meant the woman was…

“Well I'll be damned, if it isn't Brooke. Long time no see, kid." Sada laughed, leaning back and sizing her up. She hadn’t changed at all either. Brooke felt overdressed standing in front of them. They were adults now, and yet they still dressed like hoodlums. She tugged her scarf tighter around her neck, and tilted her hat down to cover her eyes.

"Don't tell me you got a kid of your own now?" Sada asked, noticing Dora. "And who's this punk?" That was at Denku.

Brooke scooted Dora further behind her, squared her jaw, and raised her chin defiantly. She wanted to hit her, she wanted to hit her so badly it hurt, but the words of the Spiritomb stopped her. “Get out of my way, Sada. I’ve got nothing to say to you. Either of you.”

While Marie had been scrambling to finish her task, it had appeared that she had managed to actually get the covers mostly on. As the door opened, she jumped a bit, but did her best to look as if she had been done for awhile now. Her face lit up as the woman told her that she did a very good job, being extremely proud in herself,  only to then somewhat deflate. She wasn't sure if the customer was upset, but it would make sense why they had made their job all the harder. With a disappointment in herself going through her, the girl then lit up once more as she was handed money. Even if it was only half pay, it was still money. Money she had earned from a job. The girl seemed  to be boundlessly excited, feeling like she had proven herself as a real adult, she managed to stammer out, "I-I'll keep that in mind. Thank you Miss." With that, she bounded away from the area, going back to meet with her Alolan friends.

As she made her way over to them, they seemed to be talking about something as Marie said, "guys guys, look! I made-" she then noticed Randy's incredibly grumpy expression and paused with just a short, "whoa." She soon went right back to her excitement as she said, "but look guys, I made some job money!" Showing it, she seemed quite proud of herself until she looked back to the others and asked, "so how was your jo-" she looked at Randy's face again, already knowing the answer and looked to Keanu saying, "so how was your job."

Nine felt an explosion of pain roll through his body as he felt his senses start to come back to him. It took awhile to figure out just where he was, but as he was able to feel the sandy ground beneath himself, he remembered everything that had taken place up to this point. While he wasn't sure what he was waking up to, he was already certain that he had lost against Jabari. He silently cursed at himself as he came to understand this, not knowing what became of everyone else in the fight. As he struggled to move, his eyes slowly opened, causing him to see quite the strange scene.

The only one of the group that had fought that was still standing was Clotilde, Jabari sent a lot farther away from her. As it stood, she appeared to be the victor in this fight, which sent Nine some relief, but before them was someone he didn't recognize. A stranger that hadn't been with them when Nine had gone down, but seemingly happy go-lucky, not a scratch on them. The more he looked the more he realized that there was something off about them; or rather something familiar. It was the feeling that he had gotten when he first met Azelf. Letting out a soft chuckle to himself at this, the houndoom just felt overwhelmed once more at how in such a short time, he had met with so many different things that he had been seeking out. Everything had always been so close in his reach, and yet he had been blind to it all. It was true, he never had been a Chaser until recently; merely someone chasing shadows .

Rolling over on to his back, his body aching all over with pain as he did so, he merely lied there and continued to laugh to himself. Looking over to the aggron he gave her a small thumbs up, saying, "congrats." Looking both to her and then to Gwen he softly said, "and sorry." Turning to face the legend he still seemed to have a smile on his face, though one that made his defeat apparent as he said, "and sorry about the loss."

Team Showdown

Taiga had fallen quite the distance, farther down than she had expected.  Who knew jumping into a small hole in the side of a mountain would lead to some sort or chamber within.  When she rose to, she saw the fox heading down a path.  Now that she noticed, the room wasn't as wide, more like just a long open pathway to the next section of the cavern.  However, as her eyes kept pace with the fox, something big next to it was caught in her peripheral.  A big hulking lug of a gijinka sat in the way of her and the thief.  The next thing she knew, the supposed Abomasnow let out a mighty roar, causing the room to be filled with an icy storm.  Taiga stuck her pinkie fingers in her ears, the sound was rattling her eardrums.

"You've got to be kidding me."  She groaned.  She rose to her feet, and crossed her arms, a thick fog coming from her mouth as she let out a huff.  "You wanna tone it down there, big, mad, and ugly?"  She knew things were about to take a turn for the worst, and against one of these things, it didn't seem like it was going to get any better.  Getting pelted with tiny bits of ice wasn't particularly helping at all either.  It was annoying, but the more the ice would chip away at her skin, the less stamina she would soon have.  "Now, I like a rumble more than most people, but I'll let it slide this time, if you hand over that little furry thief."  A bluff was her only chance of getting out of here, and to the others, without dying in the process.

Tianzi and Isole spent some time patching up Scarlet's wounds before they continued on their way to catch up to the ever-so reckless Taiga, but before they could walk for long, a figure ended up blocking their path. It was a Greninja, who seemingly didn't like their presence there. He pointed at the group rudely before saying what he had in his mind. Oh yeah, he also struck Isole down. That was an issue.

"So you're the ones who defeated those at the base. This mountain is a sacred place and the unworthy must stay away!"

"Sacred...? Interesting, so my journey here does end up bearing some fruits. Begone, guardian. We are not going to stop whether we're worthy or not to be here.

Are those on the base your underlings too? Shame, I thought they were just local ruffians. Perhaps it is for the best that we ended up not turning them into our supply."

Adarid Team Karaoke

As Fiona was talking about where one could do form change, there was a sudden surge of power that swept over Lok and, guessing by her reaction, Fiona. The girl seemed to immediately direct her attention to the arena. "W-what was that!?" He asked, but got no answer. Fiona seemed to be lost in thought. He turned to the arena. Whatever that force of power was definitely came from in there. He took a deep breath, remembering what he had said earlier. He took a few steps towards the arena before turning back to the girl. "W-we can talk about form change l-later. I-I'm going in!" He tried his best to sound confident, although he was quivering in his boots. He took a deep breath. "You coming?" He waited to see the girls response.

Icecrown Team Showdown

She winced in pain as Isole dropped the cold snow on her wound, dampening the stream of blood pouring from her shoulder. Luckily Tianzi had bandages on her to patch up her wound. "Thanks..." She weakly thanked her friends, a smile just as weak on her face as she got up from the now. It didn't take long after that for the group to continue onward. However, their walk was cut short by a volley of watery projectiles, which hit Isole. "Isole!" Scarlet ran up to the girl as their assailant landed in front of them.

"So you're the ones who defeated those at the base. This mountain is a sacred place and the unworthy must stay away!" Scarlet grit her teeth and, once Tianzi chimmed in, angrily barked at him.

"I am not in the mood for your sheet right now! Get out of the way or I will pulverize you!" She shouted, although she immediately winced in pain in her shoulder. She stood her ground despite the pain, however. She wasn't about to let some acrobatic guardian stop her, not after the less than pleasant day she was having. She turned back to Isole, before turning back to the guardian with a deathly glare.

Adarid Again/ ~

"I don't...comprehend." Clotilde could only mutter at the ridiculousness of the situation. Suddenly, an inconceivably stronger being just warped into existence and Jabari seemed to submit to it. He was then knocked away by the newcomer so easily, the Zebstrika that almost murdered them all. The thing that looked like a little girl then beckoned to Clotilde herself if she wanted to fight. And then Nine woke up and after congratulating Clotilde, also addressed it like a being he knew.

It eventually dawned on her, Jabari addressed it earlier as the 'Avatar of Victory'... "You are Victini?"

Clotilde wasn't very familiar and had to struggle to remember, but she barely recalled that name mentioned as a Legendary. From what Clotilde could infer, the being seemed to be enjoying spectating the fight earlier. Jabari's motive was perhaps to entertain it then, that made some sense at least. That was the extent of what she could figure out, but with that she hatched the faintest of ideas. She turned to address the being. "Wait! Certainly I have lost. I know not why this battle happened but I did not victor against that Zebstrika over there."

"But hear me. That Zebstrika is now unconscious, and I am still standing. Perhaps I overstep my bounds but I ask for a reward. And you yourself just admitted this performance was satisfactory, it was exciting. Is that not worthy of compensation?"

"I ask of you, where is Dialga? How shall I find my target?"

"guys guys, look! I made-whoa."

Randy turned his head a bit to notice Marie arriving and apparently seeing his quite obvious sour face. He sighed a bit as he forced a smile before nodding as the Popplio showed off the money she had earned.

"H-Heh, hey that's awesome kiddo!" he chuckled with a nod. However, he started to rub his hand over his head and sighed when Marie asked about his job. "Let's just say I got a bit less than I was hoping to get. All because I missed a broken toy shovel. I pretty much did a hel-...erm...heck of a job and probably a better one than anyone else he hired...but whatever."

Randy slowly stood up and dusted himself off. He really didn't need to have this on his mind the entire time. It happened...he needed to let it go. Now there was a new agenda. In total now, the group had approximately 450 Poké. It was a good start to say the least anyway. He looked over at his companions and shrugged.

"So...who's hungry?" he asked with a chuckle. "Highly doubt they have any malasadas or even the food that Morgan's place had, but I'm sure we can attempt to find something for us."

Kazo had to admit, it was kinda... creepy, how no one seemed to remember yesterday's event. If it wasn't for some of the pains he still felt, he'd chalk it up to some sort of nightmare. Perhaps no one saw the fight...? But that was silly, he summoned a literal sandstorm during the fight, and there where meteors. How did they not know?

Still, they headed to the docks, where they stared over the water. How where they supposed to cross this? Maybe if he was a Garchomp, he could fly over the water... except he was not a Garchomp, so that was out. However, Mac seemed to notice the old man from yesterday in a boat.

"Hey! Uh...Old guy!" She called out, running towards the dock. "Waaaaaaait!" The Politoed turned towards the group and waved jovially.

"Well hello! What can I do for you find young folk today?" Kazo rubbed the back of his head.

"W-well, if you don't mind, can we have a ride across?"

"Y'all need a lift? Whereabouts you going, iffin you don't mind me askin?"

"I... um... the other side?" Kazo asked with a nervous chuckle.

"Haha ya got me there kiddo ya got me there. If it's a crossin' yer wanting far be it from me to keep ya from it. Hop aboard fellas, and the little miss. Jes...don't actually hop in. This here boat's been through a lot." the old man answered with a hearty laugh.

"Right, thank you so much!" Kazo said, picking up Ari and gently boarded the boat, placing the lion cub on his lap. He then watched as Mac climbed in.

"What's it that kids say these days....right, tally ho!" The old man said as they set off. It was a quiet ride, mostly because Kazo was super focused on making sure no one fell into the water. He did not need to deal with drowning kids right now. The ride took the rest of the day, but they made it to the other side... a village that looked pretty much abandoned. Kazo climbed out of the boat, looking around.

"Well... this is spooky...," He muttered.

The Absol gave Denku a look of annoyance. "I'm not a travel guide." He said with an impatient click of his tongue. "Grab a map at the entrance it'll show you what you need."

"Oh, I'm sorry. Since you brought us here, I thought I was supposed to ask you. Again, I'm sorry," He said, trying to be sincere, but he was also kinda glad he annoyed him. It was what he wanted to do back at Pride Rock, after all. He headed to the entrance, grabbing the maps there. That was better than a guide, to be honest. With a guide, he'd have to put up with more people. Speaking of which, some Zangoose and Seviper came up to the group. Weren't those two species usually mortal enemies or something?

"Don't tell me you got a kid of your own now?" Sada asked, noticing Dora."And who's this punk?" That was at Denku.

Brooke scooted Dora further behind her, squared her jaw, and raised her chin defiantly. “Get out of my way, Sada. I’ve got nothing to say to you. Either of you.”

"And I'm no one of importance," Denku added.

A low growl escaped from Kah. She wasn't sure if it came from her throat or her stomach. All she knew was that Ankou had sent her here to this lunatic, and so Kah would be working with him for the time being. Neither of them would likely get much use out of a corpse. "I was sent here to... well, I don't know what I was sent here to do. All I got from Ankou were the directions to find you. But I know I have every intention of seeing it done, whatever it is." Killing a legend, most likely. That was fine with Kah. She could do with the power that no doubt came with killing one.

The people of Mioter, so far, had been pretty friendly. Very much so in fact. I can get used to this place. Just as she was getting used to such a friendly city, however...

"Ssssstop right there!"

Had Fawkes met this guy before? If she had, he mustn't have been that important. Then before anything could start between this Seviper and the group...

"Phineas you almost got thrown out once already and I am not going to help your sorry ass again."

Somebody else came into the picture. This one was a Zangoose. Her attention snapped to Brooke in particular. She seemed to be sizing Brooke up.

"Well I'll be damned, if it isn't Brooke. Long time no see, kid."

Brooke knew this person?

“Get out of my way, Sada. I’ve got nothing to say to you. Either of you.”

"And I'm no one of importance."

So Brooke and this Sada person didn't get along. That was a shame. Hopefully it didn't get violent. Fawkes, not really having much to say on this sudden turn of events, opted to keep her lips shut. Brooke could handle this, right?

A flash of light, and a giant of a man fell to the ground, his eyes lifeless.

Regirock...

A large meteor crushed another to the ground.

Latios...

A gijinka with stared at him with violet eyes before turning her back.

Kah...

A girl with two twintails glared at him. "You're a failure."

Mac...

A man with multicolored hair stared down at him before scoffing and leaving.

Kazo...

A gijinka with a scar yawned. "You're not worthy."

Uncle...

And then. A man with a feeling of warmth all around him. His smile was blinding, but he suddenly frowned. "Why couldn't I have had a better son?"

NO!

Ari woke up, gasping for breath. He stared unseeingly at the bedcovers, before whimpering and throwing them over his head, crying softly into his pillow.

It would be a long night.

--

It took a while to get the Litleo up, and he opted to stay in his room while the others explored the city. When they were done, he followed behind them with slow, plodding steps. Dark shadows lined his eyes, shiny like bruises, and his tail drooped so low it could have been mistaken for a brush.

The conversation the others held went right above his head. He barely listened, barely cared, wondered, was there even a point to any of this anymore? He didn't have any energy to be awake, and he didn't want to sleep. Maybe just lie down and not think about anything. That sounded nice.

They reached what looked like an abandoned village, and he blinked at it. Yet another strange thing. I want to go home...

Easter was enjoying his exploration of Mioter so far. It was always nice to see new places. He stared a little jealously at the juicebox given to Dora, until he got his own, for which he sent the psychic type a grateful grin. Sipping on the Leppa berry juice, he closed his eyes in contented bliss.

"Ssssstop right there!" A Seviper stepped out in front of the group, eyes boring into the fairy type. "I sssstill haven't paid you back for what you did, sssscumbag!"

Brooke pushed herself between Easter and the newcomer. “I don’t know how you know each other, but you,” she regarded the Seviper in a stern manner, “need to calm dow-”

The Sylveon kept sipping his juice, a little confused. He didn't usually deal too much with poison types, but maybe this was one of the people he had scammed?

And then another Gijinka, this time a Zangoose, came in and clonked him on top of the head. "Phineas you almost got thrown out once already and I am not going to help your sorry ass again."

Easter bopped a fist in realization. "Oh, that's it!" he exclaimed, fluttering his eyelashes. "You're that brave knight who helped me out before. Thanks for that," he smiled prettily. He wasn't really looking to start a fight right now, plus Phineas had given him a show, so he owed him at least a thank you. Whether the snake grew flustered or even more enraged from his words, either reaction would be entertaining.

It seemed like the Zangoose knew Brooke, but oddly enough Brooke didn't seem happy with her. Some sort of troubled past. Easter sighed. The world was full of troubled pasts.

"Welp, let's see..." Randy immediately went into a long story about a Poliwrath who sounded like a real moke, tough guy. As well as a Garbodor who kept dropping trash on the ground. The Pikachu winced. He had considered the beach-cleaning job for himself, and was now extremely relieved he hadn't gone with it. Not that the lifeguard duty had been all that easy, but at least he didn't have to deal with a nit-picker.

"Dude, I'm sorry, that sounds horrible," Keanu sympathized, patting the Incineroar on the back. "At least it's over though, and ya got somethin' from it."

Marie appeared before he could respond. "Guys guys, look! I made-" she then noticed Randy's expression and paused with just a short, "whoa," before going right back to her excitement. "But look guys, I made some job money!" Showing it, she seemed quite proud of herself until she looked back to the others and asked, "so how was your jo-" she paused and turned from Randy to Keanu, "so how was your job."

"H-Heh, hey that's awesome kiddo!" Randy chuckled with a nod.

"Yeah good job Marie. And I did all right," Keanu shrugged. "Planny kolohes--rascals, but they were cute kids."

"So...who's hungry?" the Incineroar asked with a chuckle. "Highly doubt they have any malasadas or even the food that Morgan's place had, but I'm sure we can attempt to find something for us."

Keanu winced at the thought of eating that rich food again. "Think they have any local stands or somethin'?" he asked.

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 28, Mioter

“Get out of my way, Sada. I’ve got nothing to say to you. Either of you.”

"What'sssss that ssssupposeed to mean?" Phineas said as his body bristled and he stepped forward.

Sada put her hand on his shoulder and pushed him back. "No." She glanced over at Brooke with a frustrated expression for a moment. She then raised her hands up and shrugged. "Looks like you've got a bigger chip on your shoulder than I thought. You know me I'm not going to make some pretty talk to make all our problems go away. So how about we settle it in the old school way? I can get Horatio's permission to duke it out somewhere if that's what you want. Don't think you want those kids watching that though so you should probably send em on their way if that's the case. Cause I'm not just gonna ignore my cute little former sidekick like that."

"You're that brave knight who helped me out before. Thanks for that,"

Phineas, meanwhile, was staring at Easter, open-mouthed.

His face reddened but he shook his head rapidly, as if trying to literally shake out the thoughts he was having. "Why you little con artissssst." He hissed and lunged forward, only to get Sada's backhand to the face. "Do I have to set up a place for you two to fight it out, too?" She said, more than slightly annoyed.

Glancing at Denku, Sada spoke up. "Why don't you take these kids somewhere more child-friendly for now." She glanced at Fawkes. "You're from Deku ain't ya? I lived there once, with her, I can tell." She nodded at Brooke. "But that was a long time ago."

Team Alola, Day 7, Northshore

After the group spoke for a while they went about trying to find a place to eat. Those they asked would direct them towards several different locations, though there was one that was more common. A place for fairly simple but cheap food. Once they arrived there, however, Randy would see a familiar face.

A Garbodor was behind the counter, behind what seemed to be a glass pane, which was set up in a way to not let his smell out. Given past experiences Randy would be able to assume that the Garbodor wasn't the one to set it up. "Yeah what do you...YOU, what do YOU want, fatty?"

After a brief exchange, though, something would change. The people around them were now moving about quickly and talking excitedly among themselves. The group would be able to overhear some of the conversations clearly. "Yeah by the Mansion on the hill. I swear it's true. A Legendary just landed right at the base of the hill. Crazy right? I'm sure the place will be blocked off soon so if you wanna get there get a move on."

--------

"Bastard. jabroni. jabroni. God DAMN it." The vulgar, female, Gijinka said while clutching a bloody wound on her side. She approached the mansion, ignoring the several mercenaries who were standing at the gateway, staring in awe at the powerful Gijinka approached. "Blindsiding scumbag...This is the place right? Of course it's gotta be, they must live here, the coward."

Team Karaoke, Day 20, Adarid Arena

"and sorry about the loss."

Wait!

Gwen awoke in a state of confusion. Loss? Victory? What were they...Oh, that's right. Gwen winced at the headache forming in her temples as she got to her feet, as it were, and floated to join the other two. That Gijinka...a Legend? Another one had been hiding in this city?

And from the signs it was Victini. The Victory Star. Of all the Legends to meet it was the one with the least similar ideals to Gwen. She felt a brief moment of anger towards the girl. The Legend who basked in battle. It was disg...no, she couldn't let herself give in to such negative thoughts.

Given the state of their opponent she could only assume Victini had helped them.

"I must thank you for helping us." Gwen said, before looking towards Clotilde curiously.

"You're strange people. You, apologizing is dumb. I don't care about winning or losing. Only the fight. And you, thanking is dumb, I didn't do anything I didn't want to do."

Victini then moved towards Clotilde with a dumbfounded expression. "And you're the weirdest of them all. Dialga? Why would you want to see that guy? All holed up in his boring, stuffy, old Dragon Temple. There's nothing cool to do there! He doesn't even watch the fights that those people do to honor him, stupid right? What's the point in being Legendary if you don't enjoy it!"

"Enjoy?" Gwen said, irritation getting to her. "What's there to enjoy? Fighting isn't FUN. It's TERRIBLE."

Victini glared at her and Gwen realized her mistake. Scolding a Legend as though they were a child. Thankfully the glare didn't last long and when the Legend spoke they were as chipper as ever. "I don't care what you think anyway. Now you two, are you gonna give me more fun?"

---

"W-we can talk about form change l-later. I-I'm going in!" He tried his best to sound confident, although he was quivering in his boots. He took a deep breath. "You coming?"

Fiona sighed. Fine. She'd go. But she really didn't like it.

Though what she hadn't expected to see upon entering the Arena was all three of their companions still standing, with Jabari on the ground. And a Legend right in front of them.

Fiona stared at Jabari. He was...unconscious, right? He wasn't about to get up and notice her, right? She looked away before her interest in the man became too apparent and instead she turned her attention to the Legend.

Another one so close...with the rest of the group injured she could easily take them out and maybe even defeat this Legend. That would get her back in their good graces right? And perhaps she'd be safest...

"Oh, look, more people. And THAT one has some fight in her." Victini said, causing Fiona to jump.

"I-I don't know what you mean." Fiona said meekly.

Team Showdown, Day 26, Icecrown

"You wanna tone it down there, big, mad, and ugly?"

"Grooah? Graaaarrrrrrrrr."

"Now, I like a rumble more than most people, but I'll let it slide this time, if you hand over that little furry thief."

The Abomasnow looked down the fox in realization, who was at the doorway with the pack of food. "Grroooooooar. Foooood. Miiiiiiiiiine." The Abomasnow started to stomp towards Taiga, a look of dumb rage on what could be barely visible on his face. "Foooooooooood. MIIIIIIIIIINE" he said as he raised his hand, which became wrapped in a wood-like substance, and brought it down where Taiga was standing.

----

"I am not in the mood for your sheet right now! Get out of the way or I will pulverize you!"

"Thugs and brutes, the lot of you, I shall defeat you and send you back down the mountain one way or another!"

The Greninja vanished, the only sign of his presence a faint shadow. Which then rocketed forward and behind Tianzi. He popped out of the Shadow and, with a ghostly aura, slammed his palm into the Xatu's back. Once finished he flipped backwards and landed upon the cliff above them before throwing several more Water Shurikens, this time at Scarlet.

Isole groaned and rubbed the area the Greninja hit her. She turned towards where the man had gone. "Guess it's time to fight." she muttered.

Team Mac, Day 16, Ghost Town

"Well... this is spooky...,"

"You said it...I MEAN NO ITS NOT." Mac said as they entered the "town". She smacked Ari on the back, perhaps a bit over-zealously. "Right Ari? This is nothing. We're not afraid of no spooks!"

She marched forward into the town...to find that there really wasn't much there. The sun was setting and the area was starting to become foggy as they stood around. "Let's just get inside then." She said to the group, leading them into one of the buildings that actually still had a roof.

Though there was a spot where the roof was missing and that's where Mac lay down. "C'mon Ari, wanna look at the stars again?" She said, hoping to get a response out of the uncomfortably quiet boy. "Kazo, make us some food."

--

As the night went on and they started to fall asleep one by one, Mac being the first, the fog from before would continue to creep inside and soon even the building was foggy.

A noise would awake one of the two boys. Something...scratching. Scratching at the doorway.

Kah

The growl caused Kura to raise an eyebrow in distaste. "I was sent here to... well, I don't know what I was sent here to do. All I got from Ankou were the directions to find you. But I know I have every intention of seeing it done, whatever it is."

"You are useless." Kura said with a tone of finality. "And as of such I will give you a task befitting the useless you. Be grateful I don't turn you to ash where you stand, pathetic creature." He grabbed Kah by the arm, the one with the missing hand, and yanked it up.

With his other hand he made a cup and placed it over the stump. "I will even allow you a gift. To show my magnanimity. Use it to do my bidding."

Flames surrounded Kura's hand, and Kah's arm, and suddenly Kah wouldn't be able to stop herself from screaming.

It seems excruciating pain was something she'd have to get used to these days.

"Think they have any local stands or somethin'?"

"It's a beach, so I can only assume they would!" Randy chuckled, beginning to walk with the other two. They passed by quite a number of the locations where they served food, though nothing really caught their eyes some. However, one place did catch their eye...but it caught Randy's eye more so when he saw who was running it. N-No way!

"Yeah what do you...YOU, what do YOU want, fatty?"

"Oh Arceus damnit..." the Incineroar mumbled before, clearing his throat and trying his best to be friendly....see how far that would take him. "H-Hey there. Uhhh...how's it going?"

Apparently this made the Garbodor a little uppity. "Not very good after that food you gave me made me sick. Just because you're jealous of this bod don't mean you can do that to a guy you know."

Oh joy...Randy apparently made him sick with the garbage he gave him. He sighed greatly and responded. "That wasn't my intention, honest! Swear to Arceus!"

"Pfft, swearing to a missing God." the Garbodor laughed, before rolling his eyes. "Whatever what do you want from me THIS time?"

Randy could feel himself slowly lose his patience but was still smiling...hoping to keep up the niceness he was trying to show. "Well...my friends and I are looking for something to eat actually. And after the run I had with the Poliwrath...I kinda need it."

The Gabodor just rolled his eyes again. "Fine hurry up then. I don't want to look at your ugly mug much longer."

By this point, after hearing that sentence, Randy was at the point where he was grinding his teeth, all while still smiling. If Marie and Keanu were paying attention, they might've even seen his eye twitching slightly. "Great!"

"Yeah by the Mansion on the hill. I swear it's true. A Legendary just landed right at the base of the hill. Crazy right? I'm sure the place will be blocked off soon so if you wanna get there get a move on."

At this point, Randy had already gotten his food and was in the middle of enjoying it, when he overheard the conversation. And it was something that really perked his interest.

A Legendary? At the mansion on that hill? he thought, swallowing what he had just bitten off before glancing down at Marie and Keanu for a short moment. "You guys heard that too, right? ...think we should go check it out?"

"What'sssss that ssssupposeed to mean?" Phineas bristled and stepped forward threateningly. He reared his neck back as he did, true to his nature. A snake coiled up to fight. Brooke knew how he would attack, still remembered how to read him even now. She readied herself for it, flames coming to life and winding up around her arms, more than happy to knock the Seviper down a few pegs for old time’s sake.

"No." Sada clamped a firm hand down on his shoulder, reminding him of his place. She looked frustrated, brow furrowed in thought as he regarded Brooke. After a moment, she shrugged and raised her hands up in front of her placatingly.

Brooke was so taken aback that she snuffed out the fire around her arms. She opened her mouth to speak, and then closed it again; rendered speechless. Easter said something that riled up Phineas again, and Sada stopped him again. Brooke continued to say nothing.

She suddenly remembered how words worked when Sada suggested Deku take Dora and Fawkes away. “... Don’t. She doesn’t give the orders around here, and I’m not fighting her.” She took several deep breaths to calm her rising temper, unclenched her fists, and looked up at Sada. “Do you really think that’s going to get me to just forget what you did? Grow up, Sada. We’re not teengers anymore. I kick your ass, you kick mine, it doesn’t matter. Violence won’t solve ideological differences. I’m not a lonely little girl looking for your help anymore. I don’t need your approval.” She shook her head softly, gaining a surge of confidence now that it was all coming out. “So no, I’m not going to fight you. I just wanna say… thank you. Thank you for teaching me how to survive. Thank you for teaching me how to fight. Most of all, thank you for teaching me that the only person you can expect to always be there for you is yourself. That sometimes friendship, love, trust. . . sometimes none of that is enough to get someone to stay. Or at least say goodbye.”

Tears stung unshed at the back of her eyes, but she didn’t cry. She was done crying over Sada and the rest of them. “Thank you for teaching me that I'm not even worth a goodbye. Now get the hell out of my way.”

Team Showdown

Obviously, Taiga's inflammatory statements had upset this monster of a Gijinka to the point of sheer rage.  The Abomasnow brought down his arm, almost as thick as the trunk of a tree, down onto the cavern of the small, icy cave.  A rumble shook the vicinity, as powdered snow was kicked up due to the sheer force of the attack.  However, when the snow settled, Taiga stood right next to the Abomasnow's arm.  She was frowning, tapping her foot on the ground.  Obviously, with her speed, she was able to dodge out of the way of an attack launched by sheer blind force.  But this was a difficult situation for Taiga.  With no option of escape currently, she would have to devise a plan.

And that plan was...

"BITE FIRST!  ASK QUESTIONS LATER!  NYOM!"  In true Taiga fashion, she didn't hesitate bringing her Dark-infused fangs into the gijinka's arm.  Of course there would be flailing from the opposition, but anticipating that, Taiga would hold on for dear life.  It was all she could do at the moment.  It was all she ever really knew how to do really.

"Ah, that hurts."

Collapsing after the direct hit, Tianzi's face hit the snow. The attack was a bit too fast for him to teleport out in time. He had used his Teleport a bit too much today too. That might be an issue. At least he didn't die yet. Still two more shots for today regarding that. Well, the battle really had just started. The sun was shining decently enough. If he could get Isole or Scarlet keep the Greninja busy, he could fire a Solar Beam after he used Power Swap. Closing his eyes as he pictured the last position where Greninja was last seen, Tianzi's body then disappeared from the ground-

-to appear behind the ninja. His hand surging with his energy, he tapped the Greninja's shoulder as he attempted to perform Power Swap before having himself roll down the cliff. Hitting the ground was painful, but it's not really not as bad as what he usually experienced. His gaze turned to Isole and Scarlet at this time.

"May this gentleman ask a few favor to you two fine ladies? Get him off me, I have something in mind but getting disrupted would suck."

He anxiously entered the arena, before letting out a sigh of relief when he saw his companions were alive. He barely registered the unconscious man or the legendary as he ran up to the group, practically throwing himself onto Gwen as he wrapped his arms around her. He began to tear up a little. "Thank Arceus you guys are safe! I was so worried outside with all the commotion and power surged coming from in here I thought that maybe something had happened to you or that you were hurt or or..." He paused for a second, quickly letting go of the ghost girl. "Sorry." He chuckled nervously, his face red, before turning to the others. "I'm just glad to see all of you are well." He smiled, wiping a tear from his eye.

"Oh, look, more people. And THAT one has some fight in her." It was then that the strange gijinka that was before them. Lok wasn't able to recognize who it was, but the stranger had a sort of aura of power radiating from him. He could tell that this individual was probably a legendary, although he didn't know all that much about the legends. What they said was also weird. Fiona having fight in her? He turned to Fiona, unsure of what the legend meant. However, right now he didn't care. All that mattered is that everyone was safe.

Icecrown Team Showdown

The so-called guardian didn't seem to have any intentions of backing down as he seemed to disappear. As he reappeared behind Tianzi, she swore that she had seen something move in the snow. She didn't have enough time to analyze the attacker's moves, however, as he immediately leaped into the air and, once he had the high ground, started to assault Scarlet with what seemed to be stars made of water. She barely managed to dodge out of the way of the attack, dashing to the side. As she regained her footing, she noticed that Tianzi was up there with the attacker, before he tumbled down the cliff. "May this gentleman ask a few favor to you two fine ladies? Get him off me, I have something in mind but getting disrupted would suck."

"Sounds like a plan." Scarlet had no idea what Tianzi had in mind, but they seemed to have something in mind. The only issue, however, was that the ninja was much to high for her to reach. Even if she dashed up there, he could very easily counter attack. She turned to Isole, nodding her head. "Lets do this." She performed a rather awkward dance, wincing a bit from the motions of her bad shoulder, before returning her gaze to the guardian. She would watch intensely, waiting for his next move.

"You said it...I MEAN NO ITS NOT." Mac said as they entered the "town". She smacked Ari on the back, perhaps a bit over-zealously. "Right Ari? This is nothing. We're not afraid of no spooks!" Kazo rolled his eyes, shaking his head.

"Of course you aren't," he said as they walked across the town. It was eerily quiet was they walked, and the group was even quieter. Kazo looked at Ari worriedly. He looked so depressed, but Kazo wasn't even sure how to get him to open up. He just didn't want to talk. He supposed he knew why. He wanted to just up and weep over the death of Latios... but he couldn't. He had to stuff it deep inside, and be a functioning adult for the kids right now.

"Let's just get inside then." Mac said to the group, leading them into one of the buildings that actually still had a roof... with a hole in it. "C'mon Ari, wanna look at the stars again?" She said. "Kazo, make us some food." Kazo shook his head and began to focus on food. This was going to be a long night...
--
Soon, the lot of them went to sleep, despite the... hole in the roof. However, it didn't that much longer until Kazo heard scratching at the door. He sat up, looking at it. Was it... a person? A rat maybe? Still... whatever it was, it was keeping him from sleeping. He stood up, before realizing that... oh. This place was kinda spooky at night, with only the moonlight coming in through the roof. Oh. How scary. He walked quietly across the floor,  getting to the door. Taking a deep breath, he threw the door open.

Only to be greeted by nothing. The fog was much thicker than he remembered it being... and then a sound rang out in the silence. It was... giggling? And footsteps? Was a kid lost here? He stepped out, walking into the fog and closing the door behind him. He briskly walked down the hall, the footsteps and giggles fading into the night. This was so creepy...

And then something brush against his ankle.

With a high pitched scream that sounded like it would have came from the lips of the opposite gender, Kazo leapt away from his spot, breathing heavily. He then suddenly heard the giggles again. This time, however, it seemed to come from three different places at once.

"I-is it too late to go back to the room and pretend I heard nothing?" He asked, looking around, hoping to see something. The giggling stopped, and it became really quiet. Kazo was almost holding his breath as he listened, waiting to see if anything else would happen. Moments passed, and still nothing happened. He was about to let out a sigh of relief when he suddenly felt breath on his neck, right behind him.

"OhArceuswhyisitalwaysmewhydidIhavetotrytobetheadult?!" He says in a panic as he spun on his heel, backing away from the breathing. He noticed a something before it vanished, phasing through the ground. "Oh crap, I knew this place looked spooky. Welp, time to pack up the kids and get running," Kazo muttered as he turned to head back to the room. He dashed back to the room, throwing open the doors. However, he immediately noticed the bags were missing, and a shadow slipping out from under him. Kazo took a quick peek at the kids, who seemed to be fine, so he headed out to get their bags back.

He saw three shadows within his eyesight, but he could hear giggling in the distance. It was creepy, to say the least. He approached the shadows, breathing deeply, trying to keep his nerves even. "So, um... c-can I have th-those bags back, p-please?" The shadows began to surround him, spinning. However, the giggling got softer. What was going on...? "I-is that a no?" He asked as he tried to keep his eyes on at least one shadow. However, they soon disappeared, and the giggling stopped. Taking a deep breath, he went to walk off. However, something suddenly grabbed his ankle, and he fell face first into the ground.

"OHMYARCUESWHATHASGRABBEDMEPLEASESTOPLETGOBEGONETHOTINEEDANADULTLETMEGO!!" Kazo shouted out in complete panic, whipping his head around and trying to see what was grabbing him.

"Do I have to set up a place for you two to fight it out, too?" She said, more than slightly annoyed. Denku was confused. Apparently the two crazies knew the other two crazies. This was weird.

Glancing at Denku, Sada spoke up. "Why don't you take these kids somewhere more child-friendly for now." She glanced at Fawkes. "You're from Deku ain't ya? I lived there once, with her, I can tell." She nodded at Brooke. "But that was a long time ago." Denku went to speak up, however...

“... Don’t. She doesn’t give the orders around here, and I’m not fighting her. Do you really think that’s going to get me to just forget what you did? Grow up, Sada. We’re not teengers anymore. I kick your ass, you kick mine, it doesn’t matter. Violence won’t solve ideological differences. I’m not a lonely little girl looking for your help anymore. I don’t need your approval.” “So no, I’m not going to fight you. I just wanna say… thank you. Thank you for teaching me how to survive. Thank you for teaching me how to fight. That sometimes friendship, love, trust. . . sometimes none of that is enough to get someone to stay. Or at least say goodbye. “Thank you for teaching me that I'm not even worth a goodbye. Now get the hell out of my way,"

Something told Denku this wouldn't end well.

Adarid Again/ ~

"The Dragon Temple..." Clotilde let the new piece of information, as vague-sounding as it could be, sink in. "Even learning that He may be found at this place is already very helpful, but I don't suppose I may learn the location of this temple?"

Gwendoline appeared to have woken up however, and interrupted her. The ghost's words seemed to taunt the Legendary in front of the three, in an act that may as well have been suicidal defiance. But then Lok appeared from the sidelines and jumped into the group. To that Clotilde felt some relief, Fiona did not harm him apparently. Or perhaps was not able to. The young boy was able to survive this long in such a dangerous world after all, he held an unexpected resilience. "It's good to see you well too, Lok. You are unharmed by Fiona, I hope?"

Then she turned back to the God, the Legendary of Victory before them. To the sides of her vision she noted Fiona's presence, but as she currently is, Clotilde barely had the energy to stand, much less fight. Her suspicions on Fiona aside there wasn't much she could do. "It is as you behold, we are injured and unfit for battle. I ask you let us go."

As Nine started to pick himself back up, only managing to get back into a sitting position, the houndoom raised an eyebrow as the maid seemed assertive in trying to get the location of Dialga from the Victory Star herself. Nine's curiosity was only raised more as the legend responded with "The Dragon Temple." Nine thought about it for a moment, though couldn't think of any specific places that went by that name or title. However, there was only one place in particular that he could imagine a place of worship dedicated for dragons would be, and in there, a place that seemed to stick out above the others. "You're probably not gonna like it," he said, as the maid was requesting more specifics on its location.

As Gwendoline seemed to challenge Victini's stance on fighting, Nine could feel a slight chill go through him as the legend turned their gaze towards her. While Nine could understand her, though not necessarily agree with her, this was neither the time nor the person to have this argument with. All the same, they seemed to brighten back up as two more people entered the arena. Letting out a slight chuckle, Nine gave a small wave to the duo only to wince a bit in pain as he finished the movement. The houndoom then joked saying, "'Well' might be a bit of an overstatement, but yeah, glad to see nothing happened to you while we were in here." He then looked over to Fiona as Victini made a rather curious statement about them.

Nine wasn't entirely sure if she had come now due to the legend suddenly being out, though if it was, she was certainly not in the position to actually fight it right now. And were she here to aid the Godslayer then she came far too late for that, and bringing Lok would be a questionable decision. Regardless, the man simply nodded as Clotilde spoke,  addressing everyone, "right, it'd be pretty unwise to start a fight here again so soon. Though, here is probably the safer place to stay for the night." Nine didn't feel very comfortable wandering the war torn streets of Adarid City in his current state, especially given that he didn't just want to leave Vita behind here. There was also Jabari, who Nine had quite a few more questions for. Turning back to Victini he then said, "that is, if you're fine with us crashing at your place."

Marie expression dropped a bit as she heard that Randy had a pretty rough day, but brightened back up as Keanu explained his experience and the suggestion of going to get food was put out. Nodding eagerly, as she had worked up a nice appetite, the group began to wander around the town until they found a place to eat. Fortunately, it seemed that Randy was well acquainted with the store owner. Unfortunately they were on not so good terms. As the man mentioned that Randy had given him food poisoning, Marie gave him a look and said, "you did what?" However, as the two continued their exchange, the girl could feel an increasing irritation towards the Garbodor with an increasing pout going across her face until finally she was about to burst. As she took in a deep breath, though, the conversation was then interrupted as a man ran in telling them about a legend being sighted.

Marie didn't know much about legends. In fact, she only knew of the local ones back in Alola and Kyogre and to a lesser extent Lugia. Given that it wasn't raining, she doubted it was Kyogre, which was a bit disappointing. However, she was still excited to go see a legend that lived outside of home. Clapping her hands together, with a smile on her face, Marie said, "yeah, let's go!" to Randy's suggestion. As they began to walk, though, she turned back to the Garbodor and with an indignant finger pointed at him shouting, "rude!" She then turned back and walked away.

As the group made their way to a mansion on a hill, the area where the legend was was becoming quite clear by the ever growing crowd around them. With willful purpose and child-like wonder, Marie forced her way through the crowd to get a better look at the supposed legend, only to see the red headed girl walking up to a few other gijinka near a gate. Marie wasn't quite sure who this person was, but there was definitely something inherently different about them from the rest of the crowd. A bit mystified and awe-struck by the sight of this strange gijinka, Marie was brought back to her senses as the girl started to go off with a mouth much less fitting of the presence she gave off. Feeling irritated still from her encounter with the Garbodor, Marie huffed a bit as she began to walk forward, not paying any mind to the crowd or companions behind her, as she approached the legend.

"Excuse me young lady." The authoritative tone in her voice was a bit betrayed by the girl's clearly small stature, though she gave this no heed. "What do you think you're doing? This is a family place, and you are outside. There are kids wondering around too! You can't just around cursing with words like that all over the place! It's not polite and no one's going to take you seriously if all you do is say vulgar things, and it's not good for the kids too!" The last part seemed to be a bit more of an after thought then anything else. It was at this point that the girl noticed the opened wound on the legend's side, saying, "and another thing. Walking around with open wounds is not a good thing, and can lead to aggravating or infecting the wounded area. You should go see a medical professional to go get that treated. Or an adult. Oh, or me," she then seemed oddly giddy and proud as she said that saying, "I'm good at treating wounds too."

"You're that brave knight who helped me out before. Thanks for that."

So whoever this Seviper was, Easter knew them. It didn't sound like they were on good terms. That made a bit of sense. Easter had a very "distinct" personality. The Seviper seemed like a pretty aggressive sort too. It wasn't hard to puzzle out what could have them at odds with one another, but Fawkes was still a bit puzzled on what exactly one of them could have done to the other to prompt this kind of conversation simply on sight. Fawkes tried to figure it out, but found herself pulled from her line of thought when she heard the mention of Deku. In her direction, at that.

"You're from Deku ain't ya? I lived there once, with her, I can tell. But that was a long time ago."

“Do you really think that’s going to get me to just forget what you did? Grow up, Sada. We’re not teengers anymore. I kick your ass, you kick mine, it doesn’t matter. Violence won’t solve ideological differences. I’m not a lonely little girl looking for your help anymore. I don’t need your approval. So no, I’m not going to fight you. Or at least say goodbye. Thank you for teaching me that I'm not even worth a goodbye. Now get the hell out of my way.”

This wasn't going to end well. Easter had her own person to deal with. Dora... probably wouldn't help all that much. The Zorua's eyes shifted up toward Denku. She scooted over to his side, and nudged him with her arm. "We should probably do something," she commented. The only issue was Fawkes had no idea what to do.

"You are useless. And as of such I will give you a task befitting the useless you. Be grateful I don't turn you to ash where you stand, pathetic creature. I will even allow you a gift. To show my magnanimity. Use it to do my bidding."

Kah's arm still hurt from what had happened. She looked down to her left arm. It was good to have a hand again. It was warmer than she remembered. What mattered was it was there. But then what should I do with the one Cobalion cut off? The more Kah thought about it, dragon flesh didn't sound all that appetizing. Let alone her own. Self-cannibalism wasn't a habit Kah wanted to get into. As she traveled the streets of Mioter, her eyes fell upon a shrine. There were a lot of them around here, for Legends Kah was perfectly familiar with, as well as ones she'd never even heard of. This particular one was for Zekrom. Kah had always been told when she was a little girl that if a dragon had to pray for the best possible outcome, Zekrom was the guy to pray to.

Granted, she'd never been one to worship Legends. She was in league with people that killed them now, even. But something about all this didn't sit well with her. And so, Kah stepped up to the shrine, tossed a humble 20 Poké at its feet, and simply muttered "Whatever comes next, let it go well."

Now then, back to work.

Ari ignored Mac and her chipper words. She also wanted to look at the stars. He ignored that too, and curled up facing away from her. He didn't want to look at the stars. It only reminded him of his father, how the great kings of the past were up there, watching down on him. If that were so, then what would they think about him? They would shake their heads, because he would never be a great king. It was...the truth. He had failed not once, but twice, both times resulting in...this. You can't change the past, he thought sadly. It's my fault. It's my...fault.

The lion cub ignored the food that was offered to him. He didn't really have the energy or want to do...anything. That night, he tossed and turned fitfully in the fog before finally falling asleep.

When next Ari gained awareness, he was in a grassy plain at night, similar to the ones back home in Pride Rock. It was only now that the lion cub remembered...that this wasn't the first time he had been here. He had dreamed about this place before, had felt a warmth each time he visited, but...right now all he could feel was sadness. A sadness that had nothing to do with recent events.

Because, now he...he remembered. That his father was dead.

He...didn't want to think about it too much. Because how could he even believe it? That his father was dead? No, there was no way. But it was true. Just the thought sent tears to his eyes.

He would never see his father again.

He would never be able to relax in his arms again.

He would never be able to introduce him to Kazo, the one he thought of as a big brother.

He would never be able to prove himself a worthy son.

He would never...the boy started to cry, curling up on himself, before a bright light made him look up.

There, a glowing ball that shone like a star. It exuded a warmth that he hadn't felt since...since he had last seen his father. It circled his head for a few dizzying moments before whizzing off into the distance.

"Hey, wait!" Ari chased after the ball of light, following it to a rocky hill, and then through a dense jungle. The Litleo struggled with the vines, but managed to get through. Eventually, he exited the jungle, to a small pool. The light had stopped, hovering above the surface, and then suddenly sank into the water as if it were made of stone.

The lion peered into the pool, worried, but all he could see was his own reflection. He kept looking, but it was not the light that caught his eye next. No, it was the ripples of the water. Strangely enough, they distorted his reflection enough so he looked like...his father. The Litleo blinked, but it stayed the same.

"Ari..."

The cub looked up. There, the clouds had gathered, forming a giant thunderhead. Ari half expected it to start storming, but instead saw a gap in the clouds shaped like...no, it couldn't be.

"Father?" he whispered.

"Ari, you have forgotten me." The gap had melded with the clouds, but the shape was still there, staring down at him.

"No. How could I?" And yet, Ari knew it was true. He had forced himself to forget, because otherwise...he wouldn't be able to keep going. In the end, the ache had crept through, until it had taken him over.

"You have forgotten who you are, and so you have forgotten me," the clouds swirled around the specter. "Look inside yourself, Ari. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the Circle of Life."

"No I'm not," the boy looked down at his feet. "I'm not who I used to be. I've learned the truth," he looked up. "I've learned that I'm a failure, that I can't do anything to save anybody." He started to shout. "I couldn't save Regirock, I couldn't save Latios, and I couldn't save you!" tears prickled his eyes again.

"You are wrong," his father asserted. "You are the Pride of Pride Rock." Sunlight started to shine through the clouds.

"The Pride...of Pride Rock?" Ari tasted the words. Soon after he felt a warmth in his chest. He was the pride of his home...his father's pride. His father was proud of him.

"Remember who you are. You are my son, and a true king." By now, the sun had blazed a fiery path down the center of the clouds, but his father still shone brightly at the top.

Ari gazed up at the sky, emotions swirling in his chest like the clouds above. He couldn't breathe, couldn't say anything. The tears had dried on his cheeks, which stung like acid. His head ached, and his eyes watered from the sudden bright light. He didn't know what to say.

"Remember who you are." And then the clouds started to blow away from him, his father's image fading along with the sunlight.

The Litleo ran forward, struggling to keep up. "No. Please! Don't leave me."

"Remember..."

"Father!"

"Remember..."

"Don't leave me..."

"Remember..."

Ari stared at the night sky, full of stars, where kings of the past, where his father was. As he sat there, he felt a confidence blooming within. He was...his father's son. The Pride of Pride Rock. A true king. It was true, that he had failed before, but, he felt brave enough now to give things another go. He could not change the past, but he could change the future. He sat like that until the dream faded around him.

The Litleo blinked awake at the sudden thump of something heavy falling to the floor. It was shortly followed by: "OHMYARCUESWHATHASGRABBEDMEPLEASESTOPLETGOBEGONETHOTINEEDANADULTLETMEGO!!"

"Huh?" Ari muttered, mind hazy from just having woken up. "Wa'st goin' on, Kazo?"

Easter enjoyed the show Phineas put on for him. That shade of red looks rather fetching on him, he thought, giggling. Perhaps the giggle is what gave him away, as the snake lunged forward. "Why you little con artissssst."

Only to get Sada's backhand to the face. "Do I have to set up a place for you two to fight it out, too?" Before the Sylveon could reply, the Zangoose started to order Denku to take the children away. Brooke immediately went against her. “... Don’t. She doesn’t give the orders around here, and I’m not fighting her.” She took several deep breaths, unclenched her fists, and looked at the gijinka that she seemed to have some sort of past with, before speaking again, explaining how things were different, and then thanking Sada for leaving her. There were obviously some bitter feelings here.

Easter looked at Phineas. There was another one with bitter feelings. "Sorry, but I have no interest in fighting you either," he said plainly, dropping the cute act momentarily, only to take it back up again, but with an added look shot the Seviper's way. "Though I wouldn't be averse to...other activities," he purred. He didn't normally go for those types, but there was something adorable about the poison type's reactions.

There had been several places they could have eaten, but the one they eventually decided on was manned by a familiar Garbodor, the one Randy had talked about. The gijinka claimed that the Incineroar had given him food poisoning, which Keanu was surprised at. It took a lot to poison a poison type. "Guess I know not to eat any food that falls on the ground," he joked, attempting to lighten the mood somewhat.

Eventually, they did get their food, and Keanu took to it a lot more easily than he had taken to the rich food at the mansion. He had to use their lua, bathroom a couple times, his body not being used to the new cuisine. There had almost as much as what you had at a luau! But now, this food he could handle.

As he ate, he listened to some of the conversations going on around him.

"Yeah by the Mansion on the hill. I swear it's true. A Legendary just landed right at the base of the hill. Crazy right? I'm sure the place will be blocked off soon so if you wanna get there get a move on."

"You guys heard that too, right? ...think we should go check it out?"

"Yeah, let's go!"

"Lesgo," Keanu shrugged, "Worst comes to worst, we die," he joked, then realized that that had been made in poor taste. Oh well.

As they left, Marie turned back to point an indignant finger at the Garbodor. "Rude!"

The Pikachu chuckled at the poison type. "You got told." Honestly, he doubted the gijinka had gotten poisoned at all. Most likely he was just trying to make trouble for Randy.

Eventually, the trio reached the mansion on the hill the locals had been talking about. A crowd was starting to grow around them, but it was still thin enough for him to see a fiery redhead in the middle of cursing up a storm. She was worse than some of the sailors he'd heard.

She was also extremely good-looking, even with the bloody wound in her side. Like, damn. By Manaphy, that's one hot wahine... It was then that Keanu realized that she was probably, in fact, a legendary, and he probably shouldn't be thinking about her that way. He could look, though. As long as she wasn't a psychic type, there shouldn't be any problems.

"Excuse me young lady."

Spoke too soon.

Marie proceeded to start...yet another one of her rants. But to a legendary gijinka. A hot one, too, he thought, before shaking his head. That's not the point! Not all legendaries are as tolerant as the tapus. This could end really...badly. The girl then ended it with a proud declaration that she was good at treating wounds. Don't tell me she's going to try to take care of her?!

The Pikachu stepped up beside Marie. "Don't mind my little friend here," he said, anticipating a lecture from the water type for his interference. "She's a little mother hen, but she's right, you should get that wound looked at. It might be better to get that treated before you do anything else," he glanced at the mansion, wondering what her connection was to it.

Team Alola, Day 7, Northshore

Moltres wasn't very impressed by what she saw so far. Was this really the vaunted paradise that had been created here? This lot of gawking buffoons? What a complete and utter drag.

"Excuse me young lady. What do you think you're doing? This is a family place, and you are outside. There are kids wondering around too! You can't just around cursing with words like that all over the place! It's not polite and no one's going to take you seriously if all you do is say vulgar things, and it's not good for the kids too! and another thing. Walking around with open wounds is not a good thing, and can lead to aggravating or infecting the wounded area. You should go see a medical professional to go get that treated. Or an adult. Oh, or me," she then seemed oddly giddy and proud as she said that saying, "I'm good at treating wounds too."

"Da funk?" Moltres said, looking around for the voice before realizing it was below her. She stared at the child, baffled, as the girl scolded her for being hurt and swearing. For real? Where was this kid's parents?

"Don't mind my little friend here. She's a little mother hen, but she's right, you should get that wound looked at. It might be better to get that treated before you do anything else,"

Moltres flared up a bit as the young man, who couldn't possibly be the parent, spoke on the girl's behalf. "Don't tell me what to mind or not. Who the hell do you think I am? My name is Moltres and I'm a Legend understand? If I mind something it's damn well important."
She looked down at the child, lips curling in a grimace. "And you. I've earned my right to swear. You think this thing feels nice?" She touched the wound on her side, which looked even worse up close. "But fine, you think you can treat my wounds? Do it. And if you mess up I'll just have to punish you."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 28, Mioter

“So no, I’m not going to fight you. I just wanna say… thank you. Thank you for teaching me how to survive. Thank you for teaching me how to fight. Most of all, thank you for teaching me that the only person you can expect to always be there for you is yourself. That sometimes friendship, love, trust. . . sometimes none of that is enough to get someone to stay. Or at least say goodbye.”

“Thank you for teaching me that I'm not even worth a goodbye. Now get the hell out of my way.”

Phineas looked between Sada and Brooke, a look of concern shining briefly on his face, before he brought his attention, rather aggressively, towards Easter.

"Sorry, but I have no interest in fighting you either, Though I wouldn't be averse to...other activities."

Phineas glared at the Gijinka. "What like a racccce? No thankssss, I don't want nothing to do with you...you...." He glanced at the children. "You tricky...lady...perssson." He seemed more confused by his own words at this point, and more than a little flustered, but he kept a show of weird confidence despite his own confusion.

Sada looked Brooke up and down. So this is the kind of woman that she grew up to be? Sada couldn't tell if that was good or not. She probably did a better job raising herself than Sada would have. Just look at Heather and Kayla, they grew up nicely once Sada let that old man take over.

Thinking of those two caused Sada to slump her shoulders. She gave a weak shrug. "Sure." She said. "Let's go Phineas, it's time to get a move on anyway." She walked past and paused next to Brooke. "I don't know if you heard or not. Heather, well, someone hurt her. Hurt her bad. I'm going to find the one who did it, me and that idiot, and hurt them worse. It'd be better for you to stay out of it; just thought you'd want to know."

While this happened, Dora looked at Fawkes, who was asking her what to do. What to do what to do...oh what's that! "This way!" Dora said to the Zorua and grabbed her by the hand and took off while everyone's attention was elsewhere. She had seen someone watching them. Someone small, like they were! And so she was determined to find this new them-sized friend.

Team Showdown, Day 26, Icecrown

The Abomasnow roared as Taiga crunched onto his arm. He began, predictably, to flail about and try and dislodge the woman attached to his arm to no avail. He tried blowing an Icy Wind on the shark after this but if she held on he would begin to rampage towards one of the walls, holding his arm up and intending to smash Taiga between himself and the wall.

---

The Greninja, feeling slightly weaker than before, sent out Shurikens towards Tianzi as they tried to make plans with the others. He wasn't sure what the Xatu was planning but he felt as though taking them out first would be best.

Isole nodded to Tianzi's words. At least there was a plan now even if it was vague. Scarlet didn't seem to be doing anything but powering up, which wouldn't exactly distract the Greninja, so Isole stepped up and shot a Thunderbolt towards the Greninja.

Seeing this, the Greninja opened their mouth and a screen of smoke poured out. The Thunderbolt went through the smoke...parting it and revealing the Greninja was gone.

A few moments later the Greinja appeared once more behind Tianzi, throwing another ghostly punch.

Team Karaoke, Day 20, Adarid Arena

Gwen laughed as Lok grabbed onto her. "No need to apologize, I'm happy you are alright as well. Thank you for not joining the fight earlier, I wouldn't want you harmed..." She glanced at Jabari, imagining what he could have done to the Rotom boy.  She bristled a bit when Victini turned attention to Fiona. That was the last thing they needed right now.

Both Nine and Clotilde spoke to Victini, however, about how fighting would be a bad idea and that they were in no condition for such a thing.

"Ehhhhh? But she's all healthy. And I can tell she's had her share of fights before. Oh I know, you, Rotom, and you, Drapion, you should fight! I haven't seen enough yet and most of the fights were so one-sided..."

"No." Gwen said. "We are not going to fight for such a reason."

"I don't like you very much." Victini said, but didn't seem to pursue it farther. "You guys are really boring. I thought you'd be fun but nope. And no I don't think I'll tell you anything else, Miss Aggron, I don't like you anymore."

Victini went to Jabari and lifted him up by an arm. It looked like his eyes were fluttering and that soon he'd reawaken. "So what do I do with this one. Kill him? I mean he was coming here to kill me. What do you think?" She asked the group, holding Jabari towards them. "He'll be awake soon and who knows what he'd do then."

Victini thought for a second. "Oh and Houndoom. I don't care if you stay here. Vita might. Probably ask her. Whenever she wakes up."

Fiona seemed lost. It felt as though she had just avoided something really dangerous but she wasn't even sure how. This Legend was nothing like the others. They were so...single-minded and....child-like. But at least she didn't have to fight. However if Jabari were to wake up and see her...Fiona hovered behind the group, keeping her mouth shut. Maybe if she pretended she wasn't there he wouldn't notice.

Team Mac, Day 16, Abandoned City

If Ari were to check outside where Kazo was he'd see the same thing that Kazo did. A figure vanishing into the ground, though all that could be seen was a bit of dark hair and some...white object on their head.

And then Ari would be grabbed by a pair of hands reaching from the ground and tripped to the ground. Kazo would see a smaller than expected figure erupt from the ground but only for a moment as a strange ghostly ray came from the figure and struck him. As it did he would feel a strange sense of vertigo as Confusion set in.

The giggling would happen again as the figure would begin to float off into the night, with their bags over their shoulder.

Brooke was surprised that she found no satisfaction in telling Sada off. She had been planning that speech for over a decade, but now, the words that rolled off her tongue tasted bitter and poisonous. They left her feeling weighed down by a newfound guilt. She had told Sada to grow up, but she was no better than her, holding onto a grudge for so long.

Still, Brooke was nothing if not stubborn. She kept her chin up, ignoring the flash of concern she imagined on Phineas’ face. Waiting for Sada’s reaction. The woman in question rolled her shoulders. "Sure,” she said. “Let’s go Phineas, it’s time to get a move on anyways.” She briskly brushed past Brooke, but stopped right behind her. Still in earshot. "I don't know if you heard or not. Heather, well, someone hurt her. Hurt her bad. I'm going to find the one who did it, me and that idiot, and hurt them worse. It'd be better for you to stay out of it; just thought you'd want to know."

Sada started to walk away again. Brooke wrestled with her pride for longer than she was willing to admit. Heather… the name brought to mind a little girl, a karrablast gijinka, too brave for her own good. Brooke had always felt driven to protect the younger members of the group, to be the big sister they hadn’t ever had. The big sister that the stoic Sada couldn’t open up enough to be. Heather had been no different.

Even now… “Sada, wait!” Brooke turned around to face her before she could get very far. She was willing to swallow her pride, for Heather. She waited to speak again until she had mastered her expression. Now wasn’t the time to be vulnerable. “I hadn’t…. I hadn’t heard anything. I lost all my connections after Deku was destroyed. What happened to Heather? Who hurt her?”
