Pokemon Gijinka: The Fallen God [IC/PG-16/Not Accepting]

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 15, Coldharbour

"You're dead,"

Sanae felt the pain throughout her body. She couldn't believe such a pathetic mortal had managed to do so much to her. HER. A former Disciple of Regice. One who controlled a god with ease. One who was destined to become a god herself.

She had used too many Substitutes and weakened herself too much. Now she was stuck with this pathetic mortal.

There was only one thing to do.

"Yes. This one is dead." She said, drawing herself and standing with a straight, proud, posture. "But not at your hand. Remember this, mortal, one such as you cannot hope to take the life of one like me." She then formed an Ice Shard and thrust it into her own chest.

Blood bloomed as she pushed the ice deeper into her heart. She gave Easter one last look, a look of crazed victory, before toppling over, dead.

-----

The Pupitar didn't let up. But Kyurem didn't either. As the Gijinka punched the Ice Dragon, he was suddenly assaulted with a triple combo that was so devastating that the man dropped where he stood. He wasn't unconscious just yet but it would be hard for him to act much longer.

Kyurem was clearly injured but he was still standing.

And he was moving. There were still two Gijinka nearby to deal with. He reached Fawkes and Dora quickly. Without saying a word he grabbed the Zorua by the neck and lifted her into the air.
"Hey that's not nice, stop that!" Dora said, ramming into the Legendary. Who looked down towards her and shot a Dragon Pulse.

Team Mac, Day 15, Southshore

"You sure can!" Ari replied, puffing his chest out importantly. "Don't worry, I'll do my best to deliver the fish safe and sound."

"See? He's a good boy." The Politoed said to the obviously uncomfortable Melody.

A-ah, I'll make sure to help him deliver those fish," Kazo said with a smile. "We r-really don't mind helping,"

"That settles it. You'll visit them later anyway Melody, and it's not like they can't handle themselves, right?"
Melody looked like she wanted to argue but, after locking eyes with Politoed, and having what seemed like a silent conversation, she threw her hands up and said. "Fine, whatever, I'll just bring the inn's share. You all better be nice or I will come for you."

Once that was settled the Politoed moved around with surprising nimbleness, collecting specific fish and putting them into a few large baskets, while Melody started to pile stuff in more haphazardly into what appeared to be a wheelbarrow.

After finished the Politoed handed off the baskets to the group, and gave them instructions. "Go to the end of the dock, and toss one of the fish into the air, that'll be enough to bring them out. They'll know if you mean harm, though, so keep that in mind."

------

"I did that because I was worried about everyone's safety, but I think I've figured out a better way to do it since we got here. Maybe."

"Hmph" Mac said, turning her head away from Kah. "Well. That's fine. If you screw up again I'll just hit you harder next time." With that she began petting the boar.

A few minutes passed until the door swung open and a Gijinka walked in. He had a cocky grin on his face and walked with confidence up to the bar. "Hey old man, I'm looking for some Legends, and I just know there's gotta be some somewhere around."

The Grumpig looked shocked at the man's sudden statement. "Don't know what you're talking about. Closest thing to a legend we've got is my legendary food. Want some of that?"

"Don't hold out on my gramps." The man said dangerously. "I don't like being jerked around."

Team Showdown, Day 16, Deku

"Greetings. I'd wish you a good evening, but it really isn't, what with this horrid rain and this horrid city, Actually, you might need the rain after all,"

Isole already could tell where this was going and she did not want to be a part of it.

"...what happened here?"

She just knew it would get messy once Taiga spoke. She didn't want a fuss and this girl seemed like the type to give a fuss about things. As an aside to Scarlet she spoke up. "Find out what happened if you want I'm going to check out the rest of the city." She then, ignoring the girl, moved around to the side to check out the rest of the city.

It wasn't long until she noticed a body. With wood covering them. That was interesting. She moved over to check on them out of a vague curiosity. Hmm. She had seen legends before, while on the SSS, and if she wasn't mistaken she was looking at one right now.

A very dead one.

That would explain the destruction at least.

Team Karaoke, Day 16, Juyu

Aegon tapped his foot as he went through the boring, dull, slow, tedious paperwork. Every once in a while he'd glance up and see Nine was still there. "Must be a fanboy." He said while sifting through paperwork.

Suddenly he sneezed. Going back to the paperwork he went to check the next bit only to chuckle with surprise. "You're Nine right?" He said. And, after the affirmation, waved a paper that had appeared on his desk for him to take.

Nine

I wish to ask a favor. Come outside and I'll find you.

Kayla

"Well I suppose you should get to that then, don't make the lady wait." After he grumbled afterwards "If only I were so lucky." and went back to the paperwork.

Once Nine left and wandered the streets for a while he'd hear a call down an alley and, once heading down it, Kayla would drop down in front of him. She was silent for a while, looking downward, before finally saying. "U-uh...hello."

-----

"O-oh no, she's not my...N-not that there would be a problems with...I m-mean she is c-cute, but...u-uh-I didn't-"

Most of what had been said went over Fiona's head. This Vaporeon was a weirdo. Probably one of those types that used a little too much Lax Incense. But then Lok's stuttering response caught her attention. Specially one part. "I'm cute?" She said to the boy, seemingly startled that he'd say something like that about her. "I thought...you thought I was scary." She muttered, not really thinking about her disguise at the shock.

Meanwhile the Vaporeon had

.

-----

"Excuse you! The thief there! Please wait! Hold! It would be an undying shame for a maid's primary tool to be stolen. Return it!"

Oh this woman was just too much. She couldn't resist.

She slid behind the girl suddenly and popped up. As the girl turned towards her she launched out a Confuse Ray at her. Tugging her bow with a mischievous smirk she said. "You're a bit more fun than I thought you'd be. Come and get it if you think you can."

Taiga had been silent these days.  Not because she intended to, but because she was in a deep thought.  Taiga could go on for hours and hours about how bored she was, or how she didn't even care that the kid looked sad that his dad wasn't coming home any time soon.  No her mind had wandered a different path of thought these past couple of days.

What was she even doing anymore?!  The thought was driving her mad.  The girl hadn't seen an ounce of treasure since she with this band of ragtag gijinka!  She constantly frazzled her hair at the thought.

"Without these numb skulls, I could've hunted for treasure in Fryst...but nooooooooooooo!  SOMEONE HAD TO BE A PIRATE!  Two of those losers even got locked up because of her...she's nothing but an omen!"  Everytime the thought crossed her mind, she grinded her teeth.  Scarlet she could deal with, but Isole....she was starting to get on Taiga's last nerve.  Her dreary personality...like that of a black curtain...always bringing the mood down.  Was that her hidden ability?  Downer?

After hours running through the same thoughts in her head, they finally reached Deku.  The city looked to be in an up-heaven state.  Taiga almost giggled, but realized that would have been in poor taste.

"Find out what happened if you want I'm going to check out the rest of the city."

"Tch...I ain't got nothing better to do.  Gotta make sure no one jumps you for being a pirate they recognize, amiright?"  Taiga put her hands behind her head and turned to Scarlet.  "Find out what happened here...just like the twerpet said."  She then began to followed Isole. In all truth, the first thing that Taiga had said in days was only a sentence that would surely aggravate the gijinka she trailed behind.  Once Isole stopped, Taiga glanced over the girl's shoulder to see a dead gijinka among the rubble comprised of wood.  On further inspection, it seemed to be a legend.

"Fufufu...whatever treasure he had has probably been looted by now.  Such a shame that even gods among us can be struck down so easily."  Taiga glanced around the city with a smirk.  "Although, looks like they didn't go down without a fight."

Nine sat there, waiting patiently for the return of the deputy. Closing his eyes, the man continued to try to keep himself calm and steadied, before letting out a deep breath and opening them back up. When he did, however, the Charizard looked over to him, with an odd expression on his face. When the man asked if he was named "Nine" the houndoom raised an eyebrow at him before saying, "yes?" He was a bit curious as to how the man knew his name, as it was likely not to have been in the records. He hadn't done anything bad in Juyu...recently enough, for there to be a case file. However, the man simply waved a piece of paper at him, to which the Houndoom got up and opened the note. While there was barely more than ten words on the paper, somehow, it had managed to calm some the man's nerves, as a slight smile crossed his face. Despite being such a reliable deputy, the girl still had the most roundabout ways of talking to people. As the charizard told him to get going, with slight renewed gusto Nine looked to him and said, "but of course. I'd never leave a maiden's heart waiting like that. Ciao."

With that, he exited the station, and simply wandered around the streets for awhile. It was a bit odd, as he had no actual direction in where to go, and there wasn't much to actually see in the city beyond rubble, yet he continued onward. After some aimless walking, though, his attention was eventually caught by someone beckoning for him from an alleyway. Without much pause in his stride, Nine changed directions and started down into the secluded area. As he wandered into it, a purple form leaped down in front of him, stopping him in his tracks. While the suddenness of it would cause just about anyone to be startled, Nine's face seemed to soften as he looked at the familiar form. A smile started to form across his face as his eyes seemed to light up with joy upon seeing that the Accelgor was still alive. Since being in town, he had no doubt that she was still alive, yet there was a certain impact to actually seeing her with his own eyes, standing before him.

While the girl had remained silent during this time, she had eventually spoke up and muscled out a hello. "Hey there," Nine replied. In spite of the joy he felt at seeing her, the simple greeting was all he had managed to get out. There were a good deal of answers that he wanted, especially when it came to the sheriff. And this girl was probably one of the most knowledgeable on that subject. Yet, while he was anxious, Nine simply didn't wish to overwhelm the, likely already overwhelmed, female before him and thus managed to hold himself back. Trying to make himself sound welcoming to the girl and make things easier on her, he simply asked, "so, what can I help you with?"

Kayla looked around for a while, making sure no one was there besides the two of them. "You...you're a Chaser, you know Heather. Erm." She began rubbing her arm self consciously. "She's...hurt. More than I told people. Her and...and Meloetta. They need help and I can't go anywhere..."

Hearing those words affirm his thoughts, not felt his heart drop a bit as his face took on a more solemn expression. What happened to Heather, what could have happened at that? And somehow Meloetta was involved in all of this too? The fact that another legend was involved gave Nine quite the uneasy feeling, yet this was only overpowered by his concern for his friend. He believed Kayla, she had no reason to lie, yet he couldn't help but want to go see her. His mind filled with questions, he stammered out, "I- How did this- no." He stopped himself. It probably wouldn't be the best to keep pressuring the accelgor, more than she likely already felt. Face filled with determination he looked at her and spoke in a tone of both resolve and pleading. "Please. Tell me how I can help them, anything at all."

"Researched a lot. Only found one answer. Jirachi. We need to find Jirachi."

"Jirachi?" While he seemed initially taken aback by the answer, Nine nodded a bit before simply stating, "alright. I'll do it." Looking at her he asked, "I'll find them. Do you have any places to start looking?"

".....Azriel should know." She said after a hesitation.

"Azriel, huh." That was certainly a name he hadn't heard in awhile. The old Sheriff of Juyu and a person that Nine hadn't really seen much of in recent years. Nine pondered for a bit before asking, "so, where is he hiding out these days?"

"His house..." Kayla said. "It's um. It's that way." She then gave Nine directions to Azriel's house, near the edges of the city, which was one of the buildings that had managed to stay undamaged during the attack.

"Alright, thanks. I'll go check it out. And Kayla," with a somber smile on his face he said, "I'm glad to see that you're still alive and safe." Going back to a more serious face he said, "and I'll do everything I can to save her and Meloetta. On my pride as a Chaser, I promise."

Kayla didn't look Nine in the eyes but nodded in response. "I'd go." She said suddenly. "Just...I can't leave here. Like this."

"It's alright. Just leave the Chasing to me and you focus on doing what you can here. I don't know what happened here, but," with a brighter look to his expression and a flattering tone of voice he said, "I know that there's not a deputy better than you to keep it under control."

"Okay. Um." Kayla looked around awkwardly. "Thank you."

After giving her thanks, Nine merely blinked and in that instant, she had vanished. Nine couldn't help but smile to see the girl up to her usual disappearing act before he simply said, "thank you. And good luck." With a look of resolve on his face, Nine left the alleyway and started making his way down to the previous Sheriff's house, determined to get some answers.

"I'm cute?" He had expected a more angrier response from her. While this was reassuring, it was somehow worse than he could imagine as his face managed to get even more red. "I thought...you thought I was scary." He raised his head from his hands. "I-I mean...you, uh-er...kind of...I don't..." He took a deep breathe before continuing on. "You got really scary after that night, and I mean...Gwen trusts you, and I trust Gwen but..." he laughed nervously as he spoke. "...you were really scary that night. N-not to say that you aren't c-cute, but you're also...a little...scary..." He had hope he had phrased his words correctly. "W-Why did you...you know..." He let out a sigh. "It would e-ease my mind a bit if I k-know, ya know?" He chuckled nervously, not noticing the change of song. "At least p-promise you wont do it again...please..."

Juyu/ ~

Her head was now a mess. The light the thief cast earlier would not vanish from her mind, and she felt cornered relieved. Clotilde looked at the Duskull, still desiring to not cause her harm, only to get her possession back fully intent on murdering her, no longer worrying about the people around. She grinned and raised her foot, preparing an Earthquake that the girl in front of her would not be able to escape from in time.

Her foot raised, then fell, hitting her other foot, and Clotilde tripped to the ground. She felt too dizzy to properly coordinate her body and the nausea was getting to her. From the ground she looked up to the Duskull's smug expression, to which she could do nothing to. She felt too nauseated to speak.

As a last effort, Clotilde pulled off her tie and whipped it towards the other girl, hoping it would at least hit.

"See? He's a good boy." the old man said to the pretty lady. She looked a bit uncomfortable though, and Ari wasn't sure why.

"A-ah, I'll make sure to help him deliver those fish," Kazo said with a smile. "We r-really don't mind helping."

"That settles it. You'll visit them later anyway Melody, and it's not like they can't handle themselves, right?"

Melody, what a pretty name for a pretty lady, stared at the old man, and then he stared at her. It was weird. Finally, she threw up her arms. "Fine, whatever, I'll just bring the inn's share. You all better be nice or I will come for you."

Once that was settled the old man moved around really quickly, collecting specific fish and putting them into a few large baskets, while Melody started to pile stuff in more haphazardly into what appeared to be a wheelbarrow. Ari attempted to help a couple times, but he didn't really end up doing that much.

When done, the old man handed off the baskets to the group, and gave them instructions. "Go to the end of the dock, and toss one of the fish into the air, that'll be enough to bring them out. They'll know if you mean harm, though, so keep that in mind."

"Uhh, okay!" Ari nodded his head before grabbing one of the baskets and setting off. His arms strained under the effort but he wouldn't let that stop him. After all, he was a man now! The nice guy back at the inn said so.

Suiten meanwhile took two baskets, leaving a couple more for Kazo, heading to the dock that the Politoed spoke of. He had been using most of the time to surreptitiously observe the two gijinka, but both of them seemed...safe. He had to admit to being a little on edge after being told about some sort of gijinka murderer, but these two weren't likely to be associated with them...right? They were locals, after all. Still, it was a sad world if he didn't even know if he could trust the Southshore natives. Sighing, he put it out of his mind and continued to carry the fish.

--

Easter glared down at the being who would call themselves a god. How arrogant. He had to admit that they were stronger than most opponents, and by himself, he probably would have lost. But beating him did not a god make. He had seen that much with her. Probably the closest to a mortal god out of all the gijinka he had met, and yet she did not carry herself with arrogance, only a drive to improve herself.

"Yes. This one is dead." the gijinka said, drawing themselves up and standing with a straight, proud, posture. "But not at your hand. Remember this, mortal, one such as you cannot hope to take the life of one like me." They then formed an Ice Shard, and...oh no. Easter surged forward to stop them, but could not prevent them from thrusting the dagger into their own chest.

"You..." he started. "You bastard!" He kicked the body furiously, took the shard, and stabbed it, multiple times, into their chest, their arms, their face. All the while shouting obscenities into their cold, slackened eyes. Eventually, when the body was nothing more than pulpy mess on the snow, he stopped, the red haze lifting from his eyes. Well. While not exactly the most practical of actions, it had been highly therapeutic. I've revenged you, kit, he thought, staring at the body morosely. You can rest in peace now. And you won't have to worry about that...that monster going after anybody else.

Gaze fixated on the body, he rose, cleaning his body of blood using the nearby snow. Afterward, he glanced around, surveying his surroundings. Good. The children weren't here. If they had seen that, well...that wouldn't have been good, to say the least.

A nearby tremor alerted him to the battle with Kyurem. This wasn't over yet. But at least this time, his emotions wouldn't be compromised. Sighing, the Sylveon started the long jog back to where the others were. He arrived just in time to see a Dragon Pulse aimed at Dora. Eyes widening in shock, the Sylveon shot a Moonblast to block it, temper flaring once more. "I just got done dealing with a monster, but you're quickly showing yourself to be one too," he gritted out. Glancing around, he sighed at the sight of the "hero" almost passed out. "You're a lot of help." Still, to have survived this long against Kyurem was impressive. Easter wasn't going to chance that himself, though. "Wish Brooke were conscious," he muttered. "And where's that Deoxys anyway?"

--

The red one, what looked to be a Scizor, replied. "Sorry about that. We've been travelling for quite a while without any time to rest or, well...shower..." She looked around the wasteland around her. "...what happened here?"

To tell or not to tell. Ahh, what did it matter if she told? After all, they'd figure it out soon enough, they couldn't be that hopeless, right? She sniffed and was about to explain when what looked to be a Frost Rotom spoke. "Find out what happened if you want I'm going to check out the rest of the city." She moved around her, ignoring her completely.

The other, a Sharpedo--crass, vulgar lot, they were--agreed. "Tch...I ain't got nothing better to do.  Gotta make sure no one jumps you for being a pirate they recognize, amiright?" She put her hands behind her head and turned to the Scizor. "Find out what happened here...just like the twerpet said," she then left as well.

Meanwhile, the gijinka's face had been reddening with each dismissal. "How rude!" she burst out eventually. "I had thought I had seen the heights of disrespect, but no! To think I would find my horizons expanded in such a way!" she fanned her face with the hand not holding the umbrella. "I might faint," she muttered, before recovering. "At least you seem a decent sort...for a commoner," she had to add the last bit. "You may tell your friends that they won't get anywhere in life by ignoring their betters."

The lady, for that is what she was, a lady, continued, "This is the city of Deku, if you didn't know already," she swept a hand at the surroundings. "Or rather, it was." she cast a pointed look at their surroundings. "I daresay nobody shall miss it. It was a blight on all that is good and proper. Can you imagine? Gambling, theft, and worse! No, no, Adarid is better off with it gone." Despite her words, her expression as she gazed around at the wreckage was...somber, eyes fixed on a small, shredded doll lying forgotten in the muck.

She turned to the Scizor, face morphing back to its former hauteur. "Then it just so happens that one of its own, a legendary, actually, decided to reveal itself. For what reason, I couldn't say," she sniffed. "Probably got drunk off cheap liquor or lost a gamble. And then it decided to destroy the city. And got itself killed. Good riddance. What kind of gijinka destroys a whole city just because they're drunk or angry? Do they not realize the lives that are irrevocably affected? I mean, uhh," she colored, seeming to realize what she was saying. "Good riddance!" Crossing her arms, the woman turned away from the Scizor to hide her embarrassment, expression saddening once more at the sight of the ruined city.

Kyurem roared. And then Kyurem was on the move. Right for Fawkes and pals. Already she could tell this wasn't going to end well. As it arrived, the dragon lifted Fawkes up by the neck, effectively choking her. She could still breathe, but just barely so. How did someone this big manage to get something as small as my neck, she wondered. More concerning to her was that she wanted to be scared in this situation, but just couldn't feel the fear she knew she was supposed to right now. Was it shock? Too much all at once causing her to shut down? Whatever it was, Fawkes wasn't sure, but she wanted to be rid of it as soon as possible. Which would have to start with this Kyurem issue; not getting out of his grip meant that eventually, she would die.

"Hey that's not nice, stop that!"

There was also the issue of if Fawkes died here, she'd be leaving Dora and (hopefully) Brooke behind. She'd survived Deku too; not everyone got to say that. Even if she knew there wasn't really any point in it, Fawkes had to fight. Not like talking it out had worked when she tried it before. Of course, being held up by the neck meant Fawkes's fighting options were extremely limited. The most she could really do is briefly flail around in the thing's hand, hitting its fingers with her hands and feet in the hopes that maybe - by some miracle - she'd get it to let go.

"Hmph. Well. That's fine. If you screw up again I'll just hit you harder next time."

Not that it would do much more to really hurt me.

A few minutes passed before another addition made himself known to the bar. A Salamence! The young man seemed to ooze confidence too. Now this was the kind of dragon Kah liked to see! He walked up to the bar and made his intents known clearly and plainly too.

"Hey old man, I'm looking for some Legends, and I just know there's gotta be some somewhere around."

"Don't know what you're talking about. Closest thing to a legend we've got is my legendary food. Want some of that?"

"Don't hold out on my gramps. I don't like being jerked around."

"Leave him to me," Kah said quietly to Mac, nodding in the Salamence's direction to signify exactly who "him" was, just in case she didn't get it already. With that, Kah made her way to get closer to the men, seating herself next to the Salamence boy. "If you get any leads, let me know too," Kah said, more directed at the dragon. "After all, as rare a sight fellow dragon-types are, we ought to stick together when we meet. There's another one in town too, though he's a very..." What was the best word Kah could think of for Kazo? Condense his entire essence in one word, and what did she get? "Unusual boy. For better or worse."

Why did I add that last part?

"This is the city of Deku, if you didn't know already," she swept a hand at the surroundings. "Or rather, it was. I daresay nobody shall miss it. It was a blight on all that is good and proper. Can you imagine? Gambling, theft, and worse! No, no, Adarid is better off with it gone." Her face betrayed her words, as her expression was one of sadness. I mean, uhh, Good riddance!" The strange girl turned away. Scarlet couldn't believe it. She clenched her pincers in anger, taking another look at the city. "Damn it all..." She muttered under her breath. The world had been going under complete mayhem ever since the story of the one who had killed a legendary. "This place...it wasn't the greatest, but they didn't..." She turned back to the pink girl. "Do you know which legendary was it?" She spoke with disgust in her voice. She couldn't believe that a gijinka would - or even could - do something so terrible.

Team Showdown, Day 16, Deku

"Fufufu...whatever treasure he had has probably been looted by now.  Such a shame that even gods among us can be struck down so easily. Although, looks like they didn't go down without a fight."

"What kind of fight could do this?" Isole said. "Whoever it was didn't care about this place...I wonder where the victor went." She was more thinking out loud at this point as she began to idly dig the legend out of the rubble. While she did this she thought about Taiga. The girl had come this way instead of staying with Scarlet. She found that odd, weren't they friends? Wouldn't she want to stay with her?

The silence was uncomfortable even for Isole. "I was born here." She said at last, finally getting Thundurus's body out. It seemed to be covered in injuries. Injuries, from Isole's experience, that looked to be from a Fighting type.

The rain hadn't let up. In fact it seemed to only be getting stronger. Almost as though nature was in mourning. Perhaps it was? She didn't know how Legends were connected to nature after all.

Team Karaoke, Day 16, Juyu

"I'm sorry we couldn't find what you were looking for." the elderly Medicham spoke towards Gwen as they exited his house.

"It's fine, I guess I just wasn't meant to know about it." She responded, putting on a smile.

The man looked uncertain. "I don't believe that, but, perhaps, you need to find out another way."
"Well at least I got something out of it." Gwen said, lifting her hand and watching the Mystical Fire form in her hands. "Though, I wish we didn't need such things...Oh, hello Nine." She just realized that the Houndoom was standing there. "Er, were you looking for me? Is everything alright?"

"I think." The Medicham, Azriel, said. "He's here for me. Am I correct?"

------

"You got really scary after that night, and I mean...Gwen trusts you, and I trust Gwen but..."

Gwen. It seemed that Fiona owed that Ghost a lot. Fiona didn't even know why the girl stood up for her but it certainly helped to allow her to continue with this group. Why she wanted to continue with them, though, that was something she didn't understand in the slightest.

"...you were really scary that night. N-not to say that you aren't c-cute, but you're also...a little...scary..."

She wasn't used to being called cute. Well, no, that wasn't true. She wasn't used to being called that despite revealing her true nature. Then again Lok was just a young boy so perhaps he was just confused.

"W-Why did you...you know...It would e-ease my mind a bit if I k-know, ya know? At least p-promise you wont do it again...please..."

Fiona looked around. There was a lot of people. A lot. She looked back at Lok. She could lie. Make up something about being abused. It would be easy. But the stupid kid and his stupid face and his stupid honest nature was just so....ugh.

The Vaporeon had finished his song so he had started up

Fiona looked annoyed as she grabbed Lok again and dragged him to a less crowded area. Though the Vaporeon was still nearby his presence at least drew attention elsewhere. "I did it for my people." She said carefully. "I lived in a village...in the mountains. I was fighting for them. But now they're gone. So no, I probably have no reason to do it again...Is that good enough for you?" She said with a slightly more snappy tone than she had first intended.

------

Oh dear this maid was bad news. The Duskull realized soon enough that this girl might be a little bit on the dangerous side. But she did something quite surprising. She attacked her with, it seemed, clothing. The Duskull wasn't going to bother dodging until she realized it seemed to be a bit more...sturdy than most. On instinct she raised the broom in front of her and blocked the attack, breaking the thing in the process.

Holding the splinters in her hand the Duskull gave Clotilde a sheepish smile. "Whoops?" She said. "Uhhh well this was a bust, suppose I should just get going then, hey?" She dropped the broom and once again vanished into the shadows and tried to race away, heading for the festival grounds near where Lok and Fiona were.

Team Mac, Day 15, Southshore

The half of Team Mac that went to the dock would find it abandoned. The dock extended into water that was oddly still and placid. A much change from the experience they had several days ago with another body of water. As they approached the end of the dock they would feel...something. A sense of curiosity directed inward. Almost as though something was listening to their very thoughts.

Once they held up the fish, there would be a stirring in the water. And then the water would rise. A bubble of water covered in psychic energy would come from underneath the dock. It floated in front of them for several moments until the water fell away. Moments later, as they took in the form in front of them, something else burst from the water in a much less elegant fashion.

Two Gijinka floated in front of the group, eying them with curiosity. The girl seemed exited and the boy nervous. The girl crept closer but the boy cut her off. They looked at each other as if arguing for a few moments until the boy sighed and let the girl approach them.

"New friends?" The girl said to them finally. "I like friends. My name is Latias. That's my brother Latios. Who are you?"

-----

"If you get any leads, let me know too, After all, as rare a sight fellow dragon-types are, we ought to stick together when we meet. There's another one in town too, though he's a very...Unusual boy. For better or worse."

"Stick together? Cause we're Dragons? Pfft, girl, you best be careful about that. I only roll with the strongest. And from what I've seen only a few Dragons make that cut. I doubt you could keep up with my style but you're free to watch. And I got a lead already." He nodded towards the old man. "You know what I want...." He reached behind him and grabbed up a nearby child by the back of their shirt. "And you're going to tell me. Now." He smiled a smile that was at once charismatic and threatening.

Mac moved in her seat but the Grumpig put his hand on her shoulder. "Go to the docks. That's all I'm saying. Just...go." He said.

The Salamence gave them a two finger wave. "Thanks, you were a big help. Here, catch." He tossed the child towards Kah and headed out the door. Eventually running into Melody halfway there. She stopped him, realizing something was off about his stride as he headed towards the dock.

He grinned at her. "Sorry toots I've got places to be. No time to play with you, step aside."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 15, Coldharbour

Deoxys was using all of its energy to keep on its feet. Kyurem was right there. Wounded. But she...she just couldn't move. She had taken too much damage. The telltale signs of Recover being used was there but it didn't seem to be doing much. Without energy she couldn't seem to react much more. Her face was half blown off and there were wounds elsewhere on her body. It seemed as though the Legend was out of this fight for now.

Meanwhile Denku had fallen unconscious and Dora was marveling at the pretty lights the Dragon Pulse and Moonblast hitting had created.

Kyurem looked with apathy at the little creature flailing in his arms. It was a rather pathetic specimen. Meanwhile, that thing, which, he had never seen a species that looked like them, appeared to have more kick to them. So be it. Kyurem threw Fawkes down into the ground and advanced towards Easter.
He had used his attacks far too often but he still had the strength to beat this fleshy creature into the ground.

Dora stood up in the way of the two, face serious...and turned around, wagging her tail back and forth in a strange manner. "You're just a bully!" She called out, and he felt an odd draining of his defense. Still, he would continue on, after swatting the girl away, and attempt to pummel Easter.

!!! The Salamence lifted up a child by the back of the shirt, flashing a threatening smile. Was he planning on doing something to the kid if the Grumpig didn't do as he said? Despicable.

"And you're going to tell me. Now."

"Go to the docks. That's all I'm saying. Just...go."

"Thanks, you were a big help. Here, catch." The Salamence tossed the kid toward Kah, who promptly caught the child and set them down gently. And the Salamence had the nerve to just walk away after that. Kah's first impression about this man was wrong; this wasn't the kind of person dragons needed to strive to be. They needed to be people who didn't deny for a second they had strength, but had a sense of honor about how to use it! People who protected other types, not just shoved them around like he had! People like...

You've got to be kidding me.

"Now listen up," Kah said, to both the child nearby and to Mac, as the Salamence left the building. "Neither of you grow up to be like him, got it? He's got no honor, and that's something we need in this world. Not cowards who use power as an excuse to do whatever the hell they want to everybody. Mac, watch this kid for a bit. I'm going to the docks to deal with him." Was it stupid? Probably. A bad idea? Definitely. However, Kah wasn't going to just sit here and let that coward get away with this kind of thing. A low growling sound rumbled from Kah's throat as she got up to her feet, and made for the door. Ah yes, the docks. Where she met that creepy Gardevoir, and most likely where the boys were either at or returning from because of...that big catch...

Kah's pace suddenly seemed much less casual. I have to get there first! Kah nearly tore the door off its hinges in the sudden rush to get to the docks, and started toward her destination as fast as her legs would take her.

Fawkes was thrown to the ground. There was snow, and it cushioned her fall just a little bit, but barely so. The impact hurt. Her entire body was ringing with pain all of a sudden. Was it because she was so small? I think I should just play dead for a bit. I don't want to get in Easter's way. With that, Fawkes closed her eyes, and let herself drift away from consciousness for the time being. She hoped her dream world would be more pleasant than the cold harsh reality that was going on around her.

Lok let out a gasp of surprise as the girl dragged him again, cursing his extremely low weight. Many thoughts entered his mind as the two made their way to their destination. Was she going to kill him and hide his body somewhere no one would look? Or maybe she was going to take him to another Godslayer as a sacrifice? She didn't seem to have a face of anger, nor a fluster one - just an annoyed one, so maybe not. The Vaporeon's song was still audible, despite them them leaving him behind. Eventually the girl stopped and spoke. "I did it for my people. I lived in a village...in the mountains. I was fighting for them. But now they're gone. So no, I probably have no reason to do it again...Is that good enough for you?" She spoke, ending her sentence with a snappy tone. Lok let out a sigh of relief as she spoke, as he had not been murdered in a back alley nor sacrificed to a powerful being. "I'd like to know more, but if you're not comfortable sharing more about your people..." He flashed her a thumbs up. "That works for me!" He let out a nervous chuckle - he was still weary about the girl, but Gwen trusted her and her story seemed believable enough. At the very least he wouldn't have to worry about her trying to kill them again - at least for a while.

As Ari walked down to the dock, he spoke his thoughts aloud. "I wonder what we're going to see," he murmured. "Do you think it might be a huge fish, Kazo? The man said something about that, after all." Suiten, meanwhile, had a better idea of what they'd be up against, but kept his thoughts private. Instead, he carried his baskets like usual.

Soon, both of them could feel something...odd. Almost like a probe. Suiten was immediately familiar with this sensation, though he couldn't say he was particularly comfortable with it, either. Ari, on the other hand, had no idea what it was, and started looking around. "Do either of you feel like...there's something...watching us? Maybe that giant fish?" he asked.

When they reached the dock, Ari immediately lifted a fish. "Heeey, we got a fish here for you!" he called out. He hoped the big fish would appear soon, otherwise that'd be embarrassing, to be shouting at an empty shore. He tossed the fish into the air, catching it and trying not to drool.

Soon after, the water started to stir, and then rise. A bubble of water covered in psychic energy came out from underneath the dock. It floated in front of them for several moments until the water fell away. Moments later, as they took in the form in front of them, something else burst from the water in a much less elegant fashion. Revealing two gijinka who looked as if they could be twins, one in blue and the other in red.

Suiten snorted softly. Of course.

The two argued for a bit, probably as to whether they should approach or not, before the girl came near. "New friends?" she said to them, "I like friends. My name is Latias. That's my brother Latios. Who are you?"

Ari didn't recognize the names. He didn't really know much about legends, after all. He only knew about the great Xerneas and the great lion, Entei. Well, and Regirock too. Though there was apparently a Solgaleo as well. So his thoughts were just on making new friends. "Hello," he greeted. "I thought we were going to find a giant fish but instead we get two...fish gijinka?" he squinted sideways at them. "Anyway, my name's Ari, and this," he couldn't resist introducing his amazing friend Kazo, "is Kazo. He's the awesomest, bestest Chaser ever! And he's really nice. Oh, and..." he glanced at Suiten. "That's Suiten. He's a bit...ehh," he shrugged. "Doesn't know coolness when he sees it."

Suiten wanted to sink to the ground in shame. Didn't Ari know who these two were? And what kind of introduction was that, anyway? He settled for slapping a palm over his face and shaking his head, wishing he could disappear at moments like these.

--

Easter felt his urge to kill rising when Kyurem tossed Fawkes to the ground. "You'll regret that..." he gritted out. "Dragons like you piss me off the most." Perhaps he had chosen his goal of legend wrong. Perhaps the lord of the skies was not the dragon he should be targeting, but this one. The boundary. The incomplete. The frostbringer, Kyurem. It certainly seemed like this gijinka thought he was all that. He would have to change that. Though he did wish he had a little help on his end. He tried to remember what the legends said about Kyurem. They usually talked about its powers of ice, and its draconic abilities. From the attacks earlier, it was probably a special attacker, which meant...well he had a certain amount of resistance to those kinds of attacks, but this was also a legendary. He would have to be careful.

Dora stood up in the way of the two, face serious...and turned around, wagging her tail back and forth in a strange manner. "You're just a bully!" She called out, causing Easter's heart to stop briefly. Still, the ice dragon continued on, after swatting the girl away, and attempted to pummel Easter.

Easter, however, wouldn't just take a beating lying down. Sidestepping, he retaliated with a punch of his own before calling up a Swift, the ring of pink stars surrounding him before flying forward at the ice gijinka.

--

The Scizor seemed as horrified by the situation as she had initially felt, still felt if she had to admit it. "Damn it all..." She muttered under her breath. The swear caused the pink gijinka to flinch before recovering. "This place...it wasn't the greatest, but they didn't..." She turned back to the pink girl. "Do you know which legendary was it?" disgust colored her tone.

"Yes, I do. It was...Thundurus," the girl finished. "A Force of Nature, he who brings the lightning, razing the ground he flies over." She shook her head. "Legendary or not, nobody should be able to do that and get away with it."

The rain increased as they spoke. "Look at you," the girl shook her head, "You're dripping wet. I can't call myself much of a hostess if I let you catch your death of cold. And it's not like I'm going to get anything done in this weather," she scoffed at the sky. "Let's find some shelter. I know of a place nearby." She didn't take Scarlet's pincers, but she did nod toward a ruined house in the distance. It was one of the few buildings that was still standing, though barely. The walls were either crumpled in on themselves or missing, and there was a giant hole in the roof. It was better than nothing, though.

"I suppose we should find your friends, too, even if they were quite rude," she sniffed, before stopping. "Oh yes, I suppose introductions are in order. You may call me Veronica. What do they call you by?"

"Yes, I do. It was...Thundurus. A Force of Nature, he who brings the lightning, razing the ground he flies over." So it was one of the genies that she had heard about it. Not that surprising, since everyone who had spoken to her about the trio only seemed to talk about their chaotic nature. Still, she's never thought that she'd see the day something like this would happen. "Legendary or not, nobody should be able to do that and get away with it." Scarlet nodded in agreement as the rain started to pour even harder. "Look at you," the girl shook her head, "You're dripping wet. I can't call myself much of a hostess if I let you catch your death of cold. And it's not like I'm going to get anything done in this weather," she scoffed at the sky. "Let's find some shelter. I know of a place nearby." The girl nodded towards a seemingly deserted house not too far from where they were standing. It was one of the few buildings that was still standing, although standing might be a bit too generous. "I suppose we should find your friends, too, even if they were quite rude," The girl started walking forwards before stopping. "Oh yes, I suppose introductions are in order. You may call me Veronica. What do they call you by?"

"My name is Scarlet." She responded to Veronica, shivering a bit. "It's nice to meet you, Veronica..." She turned around, looking for her companions as she followed Veronica. Hopefully they would find the rest of the group quickly before the weather somehow gets worse.

Kazo was careful as he walked down to the dock. He was making absolutely sure that he didn't spill the contents of the baskets he was carrying. Ari was carrying one, and Suiten was carrying two, leaving the leftovers for him. It was a slow and deliberate walk, but he managed to get the dock without spilling one.

What happened next was a complete shock to his systems.

Two Gijinka rose from the waters... Seemingly a brother and sister.

"New friends?" The girl said to them finally. "I like friends. My name is Latias. That's my brother Latios. Who are you?" The one name echoed in his head. Latios? As in the Latios that was supposed to be the fastest dragon? The Latios whose stories inspired Kaz to start running? The Latios that was the Legend he was chasing...?

This was unreal. To think he would find him... What should he do? It would be weird to just ask for a race right away, and honestly, he knew he wasn't ready. He was still training, he wasn't ready and on top of that Latios was way faster than him and Kazo was banking on the fact that it would take him several years to find Latios and in that case he could train but Latios was in front of him so it was now or never, right? Or maybe not... he knew where he was, so he could train and come back, right? Would it work though? They didn't seem to that old, maybe they would start moving and---

"Hello,"  Ari greeted suddenly, snapping Kazo out of his thoughts. "I thought we were going to find a giant fish but instead we get two...fish gijinka?" he squinted sideways at them. "Anyway, my name's Ari, and this is Kazo. He's the awesomest, bestest Chaser ever! And he's really nice. Oh, and..." he glanced at Suiten. "That's Suiten. He's a bit...ehh," he shrugged. "Doesn't know coolness when he sees it." Kazo rubbed his neck, embarrassed.

"C-come on, Ari, I'm not that great...," He muttered. "A-and Ari, they're not fish... they're dragon Legendaries...," He shook his head. "And... well...," He paused. It probably wasn't a good idea to mention his was chasing Latios. It would give everyone the wrong idea, especially after what happened to Regirock... and even if he explained and they believed him... he wasn't ready for that race, not yet. "Well... nevermind...," He looked up to Latias. "It's r-really n-nice to meet the both of you...," He said as he put the baskets down.

As his vision got hazy, Denku's mind began to wander. That ice dragon could hit much harder than he anticipated... he began to cough, feeling something warm come out. Looking down, he could see the ground covered in a red liquid. Coughing blood? That was way too familiar to him.

He could feel his grip on reality loosening, his body feeling heavy. Images began to flash in his mind's eye. Hearing his mothers fight, moving to Ogren, going on this journey... oh god, his life was flashing before his eyes. This couldn't be good. His memory stopped on a certain point... when he was a young child, with him telling Kazo stories of the fastest dragon, and of a giant hero dragon that watched over the entire world.

"I should have ask... Xerneas... If she knew... Where Zygarde was... Kaz... W-would have loved that...," was his last thoughts before he passed out.

Finding the house wasn't entirely difficult. Nine hadn't been wandering for that long before he had found a building that hadn't seemed that affected by whatever unnatural disaster had made its way through here. Once it was in his sights, he merely quickened his pace, making his way over to it. Knowing that Azriel was the only way he was going to be able to help both the sheriff and Meloetta recover. However, while he had made his way to the door, stride unbroken, he paused when he at arrived near the entrance, with a familiar looking face walking out of it. "Gwendoline?" He was a bit confused as to what the ghost was doing here with the former sheriff. Well, it was possible that she had already known him, after all he wasn't the only one who had met people on the road, so how she knew him didn't really matter. When the Mismagius had asked him if he were here for her, Azriel stepped which Nine nodded."Apologies m'lady," he said towards the ghost, "but my business is indeed with him. And I take it you already know why I'm here?"

"I do not, young gentleman, I can't read minds after all." Azriel said with a gentle smile, despite the fact that the man had clearly known something before Nine had even spoken.

Sighing a bit, thinking that the man was messing with him somewhat, before saying, "Kayla sent me. She says that you know where I can find someone."

"You'd think she'd be the best for the job, being Deputy. Who could you be looking for that a retired old man could help you find?"

"Jirachi."

He looked at Gwen. "Perhaps you should leave us be for now, young one."

"No, it's...He's with me. Nine, what are you asking this for? I mean...we are looking for Legendaries but why all of a sudden this one?"

"Oh, sorry for springing this on you Gwendoline," he said with a smile on his face, though a somber look in his eyes. "But, I need to find it to help out here, and the sooner the better."

"I am not sure you understand how wishes work, young man." Azriel said. "This city cannot be recovered through its power."

"Not the city as a whole of course." Nine looked around, seeing that there were still others moving about the street, before saying, "just two very important people."

Azriel was silent for a while, looking, strangely enough, at his hands. Without looking up he spoke. "You are a passionate young man. Righteous, and protective of your friends. Admirable traits. But even such positive things can be twisted."

Nine was a bit confused by his words before saying, "I'm not sure I follow."

Azriel shook his head. "I don't expect you to....No one can predict the future. Any meddling can lead to disaster; this is the wisdom I have been given, and it is what I must lead my life by."

Nine seems to grow only more confused by his words, before he forces his face to return to a more neutral expression saying, "I don't need to know the events of the future, I just need to know what direction I have to go to get to it."

Azriel closed his eyes. "Without acknowledging the future it is already doomed. I cannot lead you to Jirachi. I know not what fate you would bring to them."

"What?" His composure broke, seeming both irritated and impatient as he said, "the only thing I want them to do is help me save her. There's no other wish I want granted and there's no other business I have with them. That's the only "fate" I want involved with them."

Azriel looked at Nine. His eyes looked older than even the man himself. "I saw a young man, many years ago, who was talented but troubled. He was running from something that much was clear but other than that he seemed simply another chaser who was looking for Legends to fill some void in their life."Azriel paused. "He asked me for advice, as many people did back then, and I gave it. It seemed harmless at the time, and I wanted to help this poor young man, despite how I denied many previously."Azriel's voice began to shake ever so slightly. "I saw that young man several days ago. He killed many people. All in search of a legend. I am bound to neutrality and I broke it that day. How can I do that once more?"

"I-..." Nine seemed to be taken aback by the man's words, feeling ever so slightly meaningless in the face of the man's sorrow. The weight of what he was asking was sinking in, yet, he wouldn't be able to stop now. "I don't know what it was that you've done in your life, and I don't really know what happened here. However, I've devoted all my life to finding these legends. I have only ever wanted to know more, and only ever wanted that knowledge to help others. I've seen some pretty messed up shit, and I've seen someone so terrifying they believed they could oppose one."

"I know it sounds hollow and selfish to say that I won't become that, that I'm different, that I've seen enough to not be changed anymore. So I won't. All I know is that I need Jirachi to save," hushing his voice a bit he quietly said, "Heather. Sure, saving her would probably help here and it might even save others but," a bit of a pained chuckle escaped the main's mouth as tears started to form in his eyes saying, "I just want to say "hello" to her again." Looking back up to Azriel, his own sorrow present he simply said, "please."

"Heather." Azriel said and his eyes were glistening. "I am bound to neutrality...Come with me." Azriel then turns around and enters his home, leaving the door opened behind him.

As Nine followed the man in, he looked around to observe his surroundings. The inside of the house was...extraordinarily basic. There was a cot to one side. A small chest where one might store clothes, and a painting on the wall. One that depicted Asriel with four young Gijinka. Several candles were spread throughout the room, all alight. A smell of lavender filled the air. There was a strange feeling to this room. A relaxing feeling. There was a sense of sacredness as well, though it seemed to come more from Azriel than the room. Azriel walked to the chest and opened it, searching for something inside.

Awaiting the man to finish rummaging through the chest, Nine looked to the only thing that stood out to him in the room. The painting. The painting showed four young gijinka, and Azriel, who didn't look much younger than now. There was a Zangoose girl, nearly an adult, standing next to him and looking brash with a cocky grin. A Seviper who seemed to be in his mid-teens, farthest from the group. And standing in front of Azriel was a preteen Karrablast with her fists on her hips, standing protectively in front of an even younger Shelmet. He felt some sort of odd sense of familiarity while looking at it, but eventually turned to face Azriel again.

Azriel stood, holding in his hands a shell. It was bright blue, with a pinkish tinge around the edges. "Many years ago, I, and some young wards of mine, went to a trip to Northshore. Two of them, that Karrablast and Shelmet there, went missing for a time. I could not for the life of me find her, until, nearly an hour later, I did."
He smiled down at the shell.

"The Shelmet was a shy girl, but sweet, she had decided to get this for me as a gift. The problem was that tide was coming in. She grabbed the shell but the tide began to sweep her away. We found her with the Karrablast clutching her, holding onto driftwood that was just barely stuck in the sand. I was going to scold them but...when the Shelmet gave me this shell, she said the first words she'd ever said in my presence. 'Look, isn't it pretty?' " He chuckled a bit, and sighed. "When I was searching, so frantically, for the pair, I was lost. And when I was lost all I had was my wish to find them safe. And so I wished. And so I found them. I cannot tell you where Jirachi is. I can only share this old man's memories."

As Nine listened to the man's story, he thought he sort of got the gist of it. Nodding as the man finished his story, he still looked solemn, yet not quite as in despair. "Thank you," he said. "Well, I suppose I'll keep on looking as I always have then, though, this time will hopefully be a bit different." With a single goal, or wish, in mind Nine looked to the man with newfound resolve. "And I'll do my best to not lose myself during my travels."

"That is all anyone can ask for." He said. Nine would notice that the man looked a bit more tired, a bit older, than before.

Nine nodded to the man before waving and saying, "thanks again." With that, he leaves the building and looks to Gwen. "Sorry about that. Shall we go meet with the others now?"

"I was born here."  The frigid gijinka blurted out of nowhere.  It must've been hard for the girl, her home being in this kind of state.  Taiga couldn't relate...she basically just walked out of the sea one day and had been wandering ever since.  Taiga rubbed her shoulder and tried to say the most comforting thing she was capable of.

"Uhm....guess you missed your welcoming party!"  That probably wasn't the right thing to say, and she smacked her own forehead.  "Sorry kid...I ain't to good with the whole...sympathy thing."  She looked up to the sky, as the water pelted her rough skin.  It was refreshing...hydrating, and not as cold as the snow from before.  However, she looked at the girl, who was by now getting soaking wet.  Taiga put her hand on Isole's shoulder and nudged it a bit.

"C'mon Ice.  Shouldn't be hanging around here for quite too much longer."  She looked out for Scarlet, who she had left with that Gijinka from before.  She was now travelling with her somewhere else in the town.  Taiga made her way towards her other companion and bumped into her playfully.  With a more somber look, she relayed some info to scarlet.  "Hey Red...this place is Isole's hometown.  You try to make her feel better...y-y-you're pretty good at making people feel better."

Pieces of the shattered broom scattered to the ground as the other girl ran away. Although confused, Clotilde could only look with disbelief at the shadow trail that was fading away. Soon it was out of sight completely. Clotilde grabbed for the broken head end of the broom. "This is beyond repair."

Ultimately the confusing light that girl cast on her still impaired Clotilde from thinking properly. Using the broken head of the broom, she swept up the remains as to keep the street clean.  Even a few minutes would be good, she needed to recover. That Duskull girl only snatched the broom away, as far as she was aware of. Although Clotilde would really like to properly catch and reprimand her, there wasn't an urgent need.

The minutes passed by slowly, with every throb of headache being a constant reminder of the flow of time. Her mind started to clear, very gradually. In contrast, her hair had become undone from the struggle earlier and her face looked more unkempt than ever. But that was secondary. Her head felt clearer.

She thought to go back to the town entrance, to assure her presence should one of her companions returned. However she felt a small nagging in her mind that told her she should take the time to familiarize herself with the place. But it was more important to do as she said she would do. She took three steps towards the gate she came from, then two steps turning back. Another step forward. She sighed. "Indecisiveness isn't like me. I suppose I shall walk around then, explore a little."

Team Mac, Day 15, Southshore

"Neither of you grow up to be like him, got it? He's got no honor, and that's something we need in this world. Not cowards who use power as an excuse to do whatever the hell they want to everybody. Mac, watch this kid for a bit. I'm going to the docks to deal with him."

Mac huffed at Kah's words but didn't say anything while the girl walked off. But the moment the Dragon was out of sight the girl moved to the door. "Hold up child; I don't think you should do that." The Grumpig called out.

Looking over her shoulder, Mac gave the old man a confident smirk. "I'm no child. I'm a hero." She looked at the kid that the Salamence had thrown. "And this is what we heroes do." She finished, crossing the threshold of the inn and heading for the dock.

-----

"Hello, I thought we were going to find a giant fish but instead we get two...fish gijinka? Anyway, my name's Ari, and this is Kazo. He's the awesomest, bestest Chaser ever! And he's really nice. Oh, and...That's Suiten. He's a bit...ehh, Doesn't know coolness when he sees it."

Latias, still levitating, turned so that she was floating on her side, looking at Ari. "Do I look like a fish?" She smelled her clothing. "Maybe it's the smell..."

"Well... nevermind...,It's r-really n-nice to meet the both of you...,"

Latias, slowly turning in midair, eventually floating upside down as her gaze went to Kazo. "Nice to meet you too, Cool Guy Kazo!" She said with a lopsided, especially while upside down, grin. "Do I smell like a fish to you?" She asked, then stopped, immediately flipping over and rushing forward, her nose nearly touching Kazo's. "Hey hey...my brother really likes to compete; I bet he'd race if you just asked."

The brother, meanwhile, was looking at Suiten with a expression of confusion and mild distaste. "What are YOU doing here anyway?" The words were sent through telepathy, straight to Suiten's mind.

Soon after this exchange, Latios stiffened. He looked past the group to see a Hydreigon rushing towards them. Grabbing his sister he yanked her backwards, over the water, and floated defensively in front of her, glaring at the girl who was approaching.

-----

Meanwhile, Mac soon found Melody, unconscious and on the ground. Near her was...A black armored Scizor. One who looked unfortunately familiar to Mac. "You, what did you do!?" Mac said, to Edgelord, shifting into a fighting stance.

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 15, Coldharbour

Brooke was down. Denku was down. Fawkes was down. Dora was Dora. All that left standing to face Kyurem was Easter and the much wounded Deoxys.

Kyurem grabbed the small pink creature's fist with his hand, marveling at the strangeness of the creature in front of him. Then pinkish stars came from the creature and struck Kyurem.

It hurt.

The pain was surprising for the Dragon, who hadn't felt such an attack before, and he reeled back. "What manner of beast are you?" He growled as his eyes glowed dimly. No matter he would tear the creature apart and it wouldn't make a difference what kind of strange power it had.

Despite that the legend was quite literally beginning to crumble he surged forward and grabbed Easter by the shoulders. He began to pull, intending to rip their arms out of the sockets.

But he could not move. Looking down at himself there were tentacles wrapping around his arms and waist, restraining him. That thing from before was still alive?

Deoxys was shaking, holding onto Kyurem just barely, tightening her hold as much as she could manage.

Team Karaoke, Day 16, Juyu

"I'd like to know more, but if you're not comfortable sharing more about your people...That works for me!"

Fiona looked at Lok blankly. That was it? She didn't need to trick him? He just accepted it just like that? "You are weird." She said, before covering her mouth, realizing what she let slip.

While she was fumbling to recover; a Duskull gijinka popped up near them. "Freaking crazy Aggron, sheesh, but I got away. Can't best me!" She stood tall and proudly tugged at her bow. Glancing over she saw the pair. "Whoops, didn't mean to interrupt anything, carry on!"

------

"Sorry about that. Shall we go meet with the others now?"

Gwen nodded. That was an unusual experience. "Nine, what's going on? Why do we need to find Jirachi...and where are we supposed to go from here?....Actually, right now, we should head out. I don't think it's very nice to linger around Mr Azriel's house; let's Gogoat away."

As she walked she grew a bit nervous. She hadn't been alone with Nine like this before, had she? And though this was quite the unromantic atmosphere, what if he tried something? She wouldn't know what to do! "So...you've, uh, been here before?"

As they traveled around, they would eventually find a familiar maid, who looked more harried than usual.

Team Showdown, Day 16, Deku

"Uhm....guess you missed your welcoming party! Sorry kid...I ain't to good with the whole...sympathy thing."

Isole's expression hadn't changed. She wasn't sure how to feel. It wasn't as though her time here was the best of her life. It was still...unusual, knowing the place she was born ended up like this. She wondered if anyone she knew had died. Surely there were other bodies around here somewhere.

Not that Isole wanted to check it out.

"C'mon Ice.  Shouldn't be hanging around here for quite too much longer."

Taiga's hand on her shoulder felt weird. People didn't touch her. But she was wet. And confused. So she didn't shrug it off like she normally would. She walked with Taiga away, stiffly, as they reached the shelter that Scarlet had found. The Sharpedo said something to Scarlet, probably talking about Isole she knew the signs, so Isole turned away towards the stranger. "What were you looking for?" She said, the first words to the Crobat.

Location: The docks, Southshore (Team Mac, Day 15)

Poké: 290

Inventory: Poke Puff Bag (empty), Berry Case (contains 5x Spelon Berries)

As Kah arrived at the docks, she glanced around at her surroundings to ensure everyone that should be here was, and that she'd beaten her newfound enemy to the punch. Kazo, check. Ari, check. Suiten, check. And that Salamence isn't here yet...phew. Guess he took a break on the way here. As Kah relaxed and took a better look at the situation around her...she saw them, and stopped dead in her tracks at the sight. Not one, but two legends. Dragons, no less! As if Kah wouldn't recognize a legend of her own type. The stories Kah heard as a child always mentioned these two being elusive...they were living here the whole time? It was admittedly humbling to be standing in front of two dragon-type legendaries at the same time. At the sight of Latios, Kah couldn't get her conversation with Kazo from a few days prior out of her head.

iU8EggM.png

"I heard what you said by the way." For once, Kah didn't sound angry or over-excited. As if the usual fire rushing in her veins had simmered down into a few hot embers. "So, here's the kind of truth I'm looking for. I'm just guessing here, but you've probably never been to Skuldafn before. A city of dragons, where we're the master race. You get kicked out just for giving birth to a half-breed, along with the whelpling and its other parent. My parents didn't like that whole dragon supremacy idea though. They think we're definitely stronger than other types, but we're supposed to use that power to help other types instead of ruling over them. So I got fed up with it, packed my things, and went off to find Reshiram."

Kah paused briefly to glance at the campfire. It was dying down again. Breathing in deeply, Kah blew out a thin stream of fire to re-ignite the fire and send the flames back up to a level that made her happy. "I figured if anyone could tell them I was right, it's Reshiram; the dragon of truth. Together, we'd create that world of truth and make a great dragon empire...it was a pretty selfish dream, now that I've thought about it some more. I mean, just look at these two." To signify who "these two" were, Kah gestured toward Mac and Ari with her arms. "They wouldn't last a month in that kind of world. I still need answers though. Are we supposed to rule and I'm just getting soft? Or maybe I've been wrong this whole time? Hell if I know. That's the kind of truth I want to know. That answer your question?"

"Y-yeah, it does," He managed to say. He stared at the fire, gazing at it before commenting. "I don't think I'd be allowed in Skuldafn... My mother is a Garchomp but... I have no idea what my father is... for all I know, I could be part Ivysaur. Still, I th-think I'd like to meet your parents...," He looked over towards Ari. "I like the idea of being a protector... to help others...," He sighed. "Still, I don't know why we're considered a master race. Fairy Types resist us, are super effective against us, and have less weaknesses than us... That doesn't sound like something a 'master race' would have hanging over our heads...,"

He shook his head. He was rambling, and he honestly was probably ruining this moment. "S-sorry, I probably said a bit too much. I have to r-respect the fact you have a clear and decently noble goal... all I want to do is outrun Latios...,"

iU8EggM.png

I can't let Kazo find out Latios is in danger, Kah decided. He'd just get himself killed if he tried to protect these two. But I can't just let them get away; who knows what that freak would do to me if I went back on our deal. What the hell am I supposed to do here!? She had to kill Latios. It would be like if Kazo just up and murdered Reshiram. It would make her one of the bad guys too. Perhaps she could talk them into handing over their power quietly then running away from Adarid? But Kah wasn't much of a negotiator. There was always the option of killing Latias instead, but...somehow, that felt like an even worse idea. The way Latios was positioned between her and Kah, he was clearly very protective of his sister. Killing her meant making Latios an enemy for life. For now, Kah concluded, it would be best to start by introducing herself.

"It's a pleasure to meet the two of you. I am Kah, from Skuldafn, and I've traveled across a lot of the region in search of Reshiram. I didn't expect to find the pair of you instead; I'm honored to meet not one legendary gijinka of my own type, but two instead. That said, I need to speak with both of you for a moment." Kah's glance briefly shifted toward Kazo. He couldn't find out. "Alone," she added.

Latias, slowly turning in midair, eventually floating upside down as her gaze went to Kazo. "Nice to meet you too, Cool Guy Kazo!" She said with a lopsided, especially while upside down, grin. Oh man, this could not be good. Now THEY thought Kazo was someone better than he really was. Gosh, this was starting to become a lot of pressure. "Do I smell like a fish to you?" She asked, then stopped, immediately flipping over and rushing forward, her nose nearly touching Kazo's. "Hey hey...my brother really likes to compete; I bet he'd race if you just asked." Kazo blinked, confused.

"U-um, no... y-you don't smell like a fish...," Dammit it! She was so close! What was it with this town and people getting close?! She then mentioned her brother, causing Kazo to hold up his hands, chuckling nervously. "I-I'm not ready yet... I'm still t-trying to get faster, you know? At least waiting until I evolve again...,"

"It's a pleasure to meet the two of you," Kazo nearly jumped out of his skin as Kah appeared out of nowhere behind him. "I am Kah, from Skuldafn, and I've traveled across a lot of the region in search of Reshiram. I didn't expect to find the pair of you instead; I'm honored to meet not one legendary gijinka of my own type, but two instead," Kazo didn't remember her being this polite to Regirock... then again, they got all of five words in with Regirock before they battled. "That said, I need to speak with both of you for a moment." Kah's glance briefly shifted toward Kazo. He couldn't figure out why it was. "Alone," she added.

"H-hey! Why does it gotta be alone?" Kazo stated. He normally wouldn't do this, but he wasn't just gonna walk away from this, especially since it was Kah. She'd probably try to fight them, knowing her! "Wh-whatever it is you have to 's-say'," Kazo emphasized the word in such a way that most people would know he didn't believe her. "You can say in front of us all,"

The red gijinka, still levitating, turned so that she was floating on her side, looking at Ari. "Do I look like a fish?" She smelled her clothing. "Maybe it's the smell..."

"C-come on, Ari, I'm not that great...," Kazo muttered. "A-and Ari, they're not fish... they're dragon Legendaries...," He shook his head. "And... well...," He paused. "Well... nevermind...," He looked up at the red gijinka. "It's r-really n-nice to meet the both of you...," He said as he put the baskets down.

"Eh, so they're not fish? Oops," Ari quickly wiped off the drool that had been forming.

"U-um, no... y-you don't smell like a fish...," Kazo then held up his hands, chuckling nervously. "I-I'm not ready yet... I'm still t-trying to get faster, you know? At least waiting until I evolve again...,"

Pfft, yeah, right. Ari knew that Kazo was just being modest. "He's totally ready!" he said, jumping up and down eagerly. "I bet he can beat your brother, no problem!" These guys didn't look that tough, anyway, even if they were legendaries. And fast? Yeah, right! Even if they were, Kazo was fast too, and probably faster.

Meanwhile, Suiten had stiffened at the use of telepathy: "What are YOU doing here anyway?" He had never really been fond of psychic types and their intrusiveness. I'm with them, he thought, annoyed at the distaste that had been conveyed. And I like Southshore.

Latios stiffened soon after, staring past the group. Grabbing his sister he yanked her backwards, over the water, and floated defensively in front of her, glaring at the girl who was approaching.

Suiten froze. Something was approaching. What was it? Was it one of those gijinka murderers? He turned around slowly, dreading what he might face, before straightening, blinking, at the sight of...Kah? It was just Kah. He glanced back at Latios curiously. Had the psychic type sensed something? Or maybe it was just a natural fear of dark types.

Said Hydreigon glanced between the two siblings for a moment before speaking, "It's a pleasure to meet the two of you. I am Kah, from Skuldafn, and I've traveled across a lot of the region in search of Reshiram. I didn't expect to find the pair of you instead; I'm honored to meet not one legendary gijinka of my own type, but two instead. That said, I need to speak with both of you for a moment. Alone."

"H-hey! Why does it gotta be alone?" Kazo stated. "Wh-whatever it is you have to 's-say'," Kazo clearly didn't believe she was just going to be speaking. "You can say in front of us all."

"Ooh, ooh, I know!" Ari jumped up and down. "You're gonna fight 'em! Hey, can we join in?" he turned to the legendaries. "We're Chasers, after all. And I want to see how much I've improved..." his face turned serious at the last sentence. Regirock...

"There is a...Godslayer out there," Suiten added, glancing between Kah and the two siblings. "For now, it's best we all be careful. And not head off alone anymore." He didn't know why Latios was wary of Kah, but she was not the enemy they needed to be worried about.

Easter narrowed his eyes when his fist was caught. Rather than take advantage of the block, the dragon seemed...fascinated. For some reason. Oh god, I hope it's not...that. Sometimes, Easter wondered if his ability weren't actually Cute Charm instead of Pixilate. Either way, he wouldn't let this chance slide, releasing the Swift attack soon after.

The dragon reeled back, seemingly surprised. "What manner of beast are you?" He growled as his eyes glowed dimly, which was honestly a little unsettling. Despite that the legend was quite literally beginning to crumble he surged forward and grabbed Easter by the shoulders. He began to pull, which hurt. A lot. But he was soon stopped by...tentacles? Yes, tentacles, wrapped around his arms and waist. On the other end, Deoxys seemed to be at her limits, but this would be...just enough. Yes.

Never thought I'd say this, Easter thought. But thank the wishing star for tentacles. The grin dropped off his face soon after. "Pick a god and pray...as long as it's not yourself," he said, bringing up an aching arm, rolling his shoulder a couple times as he did so to make sure nothing had gotten dislocated. Okay, good. Charging up a Moonblast, he paused to make sure of his aim, before throwing it at the legendary in front of him.

--

"My name is Scarlet." The Scizor responded, shivering a bit. "It's nice to meet you, Veronica..." She seemed to be looking for her companions as she followed the Crobat.

"Scarlet, then?" Veronica tipped her head. "What an...interesting name. Rather self-explanatory," she glanced back at the red armor and the pink hair. "I suppose your parents predicted your evolution, then." That was a common theme in gijinka names.

Soon afterward they met the other two. They were fairly easy to spot, most of the buildings not even standing. "Hey Red...this place is Isole's hometown," the Sharpedo said. Veronica assumed that Isole was the taciturn Rotom next to them. "You try to make her feel better...y-y-you're pretty good at making people feel better."

The Rotom seemed to be ignoring her words, though, turning toward Veronica. "What were you looking for?" Oh, now she was talking to her.

"I owe no explanation to a woman who doesn't even introduce herself," the Crobat sniffed, glaring down at the gijinka despite not being much taller than her. Then the water type's words caught up with her. "Though I suppose I'll forgive you just this once. This must be quite the ordeal for you." She paused before speaking. "Honestly? I was investigating all of this," she waved at their surroundings with a gloved hand. "So much happened here, I wanted to be sure everything was...safe." She turned away to hide her saddened expression. "I shouldn't have come though. This place is nothing but ruins now."

After Nine had apologized to the ghost, he started to walk alongside her, as per her suggestion to leave Azriel's porch. She was, of course, incredibly curious as to what had just transpired here and he had to think of a rather condensed way to say it all. While he was trying to formulate his thoughts, she asked him if he had been here before, to which he simply said, "yeah," without breaking his stride. He figured such a question was obvious, especially given how long he'd been at it, until he realized that to her he probably looked like he was from Adarid City. Elaborating, he said, "well, I've been at this whole Chaser thing for awhile, so I've seen a place or two in my travels." He had a bit of a smile on his face as he looked to her saying, "Juyu's always been a favorite place of mine. Most people probably think it's boring but it's always got a certain charm," and charmers, "whenever I come back to visit it." Briefly looking away, his expression turned into one of somber reminiscing before he perked back up saying, "oh right, your earlier question."

The houndoom began to collect his thoughts. "Well, for now, let's just say we have to find it in order to save someone important." He couldn't very well mention Heather's name out in public, and risk what Kayla was likely tirelessly trying to quell to only get worse. "As for where to go from here, well." He scratched his head with a pensive look on his face. "I'm kind of stumped on that myself. Azriel's story took place in Northshore, but it probably wasn't meant to be taken literally. Nevertheless, I'll just have to try my best to figure out which direction to pick from here." It was true that he didn't have much of an initial direction to work off of, but he would work towards it. Finding Jirachi and saving Heather was all that mattered to him right now, and even if he only had shadows to chase after, he would continue walking towards them for as long as it took. The first step to that was regrouping with the the others. A bit curious though, he looked over to Gwendoline and said, "by the way, what were you visiting him for?" After a bit of walking, the pair stumbled across a familiar looking Aggron, though she seemed far more distressed and disheveled than normal. Picking his pace up a bit, he waved to her saying, "hey Clotilde. Are you alright?"

"You are weird." She said, before covering her mouth. "Am I?" He chuckled nervously a bit, blushing a bit as she started to get flustered. "I guess I am a bit weird, huh..." Things had gone much better than planned. While not exactly on the same page, at least they were on the same book now. Suddenly, a duskull girl seemed to appear out of nowhere near the pair. "Freaking crazy Aggron, sheesh, but I got away. Can't best me!" She stood tall and proudly tugged at her bow. Glancing over she saw the pair. "Whoops, didn't mean to interrupt anything, carry on!" Aggron? She was probably talking about Clotilde, although he wondered why she called her 'crazy'. However, the duskull did remind him that he did, in fact, come with a group. He turned back to Fiona. "We should probably get back with the group, huh? They're probably all together by now." He turned to the sky. Just how long had they been away, anyways? Ether way, it was probably about time they made way towards their next destination.

"Scarlet, then?" Veronica tipped her head. "What an...interesting name. Rather self-explanatory, I suppose your parents predicted your evolution, then." Scarlet rubbed the back of her head a bit, chuckling softly. "Caught me red handed chief. Both of my parents were Scizor, so they had a certain expectation for me even when I was a littel Scyther..." Their conversation was interupted by a familiar voice. "C'mon Ice.  Shouldn't be hanging around here for quite too much longer." She turned to the two girls, waving at them. While she was beaming at first, she noticed the somber look on both of their faces. While Isole went to talk to the Crobat, Taiga approached her. "Hey Red...this place is Isole's hometown.  You try to make her feel better...y-y-you're pretty good at making people feel better."
"O-Oh my..." She turned to the ghost girl. So this was her hometown? It must be horrible, finding out where you lived being leveled by the will of a wild Legendary. She clenched her claws at the thought of it. "Of course..." She turned back to her shark friend. "Horrible, ain't it? A legend - Thundurus - leveled the whole city..." As she spoke she clenched her claws harder - thankfully, she wasn't able to dig into her metal exterior, although she did leave small scratches on them. "...apparently he was also from here..." She kicked the dust below her in frustration, trying to hold back her tears of anger. "Leveled the whole place, damn it! Fucking bastard probably thinks he can go around leveling cities just because he's a legendary! I'll...I'll..." She shouted angrily, before coughing nervously, trying to calm herself down. "S-Sorry about that, it's just...y'know..." She grabbed onto her shoulder, letting out a sigh. A tear rolled down her eye as she turned back to Isole.

Team Showdown: Deku

"I shouldn't have come though. This place is nothing but ruins now."

"You got that right chief!  You'd need a degree in wreckage-ology to figure that out huh?  Fufufufu."  She looked towards the devestation in front of her.  "Legends are scary powerful though..."  Taiga looked past the destruction, and pondered for a moment.  They hadn't even encountered a legendary as of now, but it seemed like they were appearing nowadays left and right.  Taiga clenched a fist before rattling it at the cloudy sky.  "All of these Legends, and Kyogre refuses to show its ugly face!  Fufufufu."  In all honesty, she had been looking in all the wrong places.  But who was to say a Kyogre couldn't live in some type of desert.

Taiga nodded continuously at Scarlet's attempts to make Isole feel better, agreeing with every word, and trying to get a sense of how to 'empathize' with people.  However, after such a heated cursing of the legends, Scarlet started to cry.  This made Taiga tense up, and look away uncomfortably.  Was this really Scarlet?  Under all that armor was pure emotion after all.  Taiga sighed before placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Geez Red...I told you to make Ice feel better...not to get yourself down."  She shrugged and shook her head.  "Well...if there's nothing to do around here, I say we mosey right along,"  Taiga then turned to Isole, grim as ever, "Unless...you've got something you wanna do here..."

"Oh, greetings, I didn't notice you two." Clotilde half-stumbled upon Gwen and Nine walking alone together when Nine called out to her, and she had a brief thought. Being 'alone together' was quite an oxymoron, wasn't it? But it felt appropriate to say at the moment. Perhaps they were together in a more intimate sense. Or so her still slightly deranged mind's thoughts flew away. She slapped her cheek with one hand, producing a rather violent sound while leaning on a wall with the other hand. That brought her mind back. "Do not mind me. I was lightly assaulted just a while ago, drove the thief away though, nothing to worry. More importantly, have you two discovered anything of note?"

Observing the two, Clotilde could see Nine's face indicating he did indeed discovered some sort of fact that did not seem to completely reassure him. Whereas Gwen seemed more occupied with other thoughts at the moment, it was hard to tell. "Or was I interrupting something, perhaps?"
