Kaiba already gave his word to begin the tournament but everyone was still getting their battle city duel disk. only about 100 people got there duel disk early because the planed ahead of time instead of waiting till the last moment. outside the building nobody was dueling. Then a boy named Stephen walked out of the building and was ready to go.Stephen- alright who is going to be my 1st opponent?Stephen searched for a duelist that looked like he could have fun in a duel. Then he saw a girl in a red jacket she looked about 14 years old ,and she looked like a good duelist.Stephen-(nervous) Uhh hi... w-would you like to duel?girl- sure whats your name.Stephen- Stephen Nova. your namegirl- Sidney Roberts. anyway lets start our duel.Stephen- You got itStephen and Sidney- get your game on.Sidney-Lady's 1st. I play 1 card facedown in defense mode. Next I'll play 1 card facedown. Your turn Stevie.Stephen-Draw I summon advanced hero captain wind in attack mode 1200/1200. A monster with feathers all over his body appear on the field.Stephen- Then I play 1 facedown. Now I attack with captain wind go tornado strike.The monster released a huge tornado of feather on the facedown card. The card was flip over and the monster was Banisher of light 100/2000Sidney- I knew you would attack Stephen thats why that attack cost you some pointsStephen- obviously.Sidney-4000Stephen-3200Stephen- I end my turn.Sidney-I draw and sacrifice my banisher of light to summon Dark magician girl 2000/1700.Stephen- cool!! you have Dark magician girl I always wanted to see her in real life.Sidney- Well enjoy it Stephen. Cause I play Dark core. By discarding a card from my hand to the graveyard I'm able to remove one of your monsters from play that are on the field. I guess I'll choose your captain wind to be removed from the game.Stephen- You're pretty and deadly Sidney.Sidney- You don't say do ya Stevie. Well remove that monster from play.Stephen grabbed the card an slid it into his back pocket.Sidney- Now dark magician girl attack Stephen directly.The Dark magician girl pointed her staff at Stephen and shot out her dark magic attack.Stephen- I activate draining shieldSidney- sorry I activate mystical space typhoon this spell destroys your draining shield.the card was blown into Stephen graveyard, and Dark magician girl continued her attack.Stephen-1200Sidney-4000Sidney- come on Stephen fight I'm getting tired of this lame duel.Stephen- Well I'm sorry let me show you some cool cards ok. Draw, I summon advanced hero-thunder kid 1800/1600. Now I lay down polymerization I fuse thunder kid with advance hero ground shaker to create advance hero lightning knight 2600/2300. Next I'll attack dark magician girl with lightning knight.The magician got a terrified look on her face then she was slash and sent to the graveyard.Stephen-1200Sidney- 3400Stephen- Now I'll activate lighting knight ability when he destroys a monster and does damage to your life points you lose damage for half your monster attack and defense point.Sidney- That 1000 for the attack and 850 for the defense. In total thats 1850 life points!!!!Stephen- good now lightning knight deduct those points.The monster dash at Sidney and slashed her twice.Stephen-1200Sidney-1550Stephen- hows that for a turn?Sidney- pretty impressive. Draw I summon Breaker the magical warrior 1600/1000. Now Breaker has 1 spell counter on himself, and his limit is one.Stephen- It won't help you because he gains only 300 attack points. So he is 700 attack points shy of defeating my lighting knight.Sidney- Well aren't we the smart ones. you should probably pay attention to my turn Steven. I play pot of greed this lets me draw 2 cards. now I play demotion this downgrades my monster by 2 levels. Now I play broken bones. This spell allows all level 3 or lower monsters on the field to attack you directly and deal you 500 attack points each.Stephen- This is going to be rough.the magical warrior attacked Stephen directly.Stephen-700Sidney-1550Stephen-you always seem to out-smart me in this duel Sidney.Sidney- I aim to please. I play 1 facedown.Stephen- Guess what I do as well. Draw, I summon advanced hero- fire striker 1400-1000. Now I play de-fusion, this brings the fusion materials for lightning knight to the field and lightning knight goes to the grave. come advanced hero- lightning boy 1800/1600, and advanced hero ground shaker 800/2200.Sidney- What do they do for you?Stephen- glad you asked, I play advanced armer this raises all advance hero that are on the field attack points by 300.advanced hero- lightning boy 2100/1600.advanced hero- fire striker 1700/1000.advanced hero ground shaker 1100/2200.now I play fusion sage this lets me add one polymerization from my deck to hand.he scans his deck for a polymerization then he finds one.Sidney- what are you planing Stephen?Stephen- I plan on winning the duel this turn. Now I lay down polymerization. I fuse advanced hero- lightning boy, advanced hero- fire striker, and advanced hero ground shaker. To bring out advanced hero weapon master 2700/600Sidney- you continue to amaze me Stephen.Stephen- well here I go weapon master attack directly.Sidney- WHAT!!!!! is this like a special ability.Stephen- when I give up half my life point he can attack you directly. Now go weapon master attack her.Stephen- 350Sidney-0000Stephen- good game Sidney you gave me a run for my money.Sidney- Well you won you get dark magician girl and 1 locater card.Stephen- sorry you're out of the tournament.Sidney-Out of the tournament!! Stevie I have 3 locater cards left.Stephen- whoa!! well sorry about that. I guess I'll see ya around.Sidney- yeah bye.They walked away from each other.Stephen- ok I have 2 locater cards and I need 8 more. So lets find a duelist.He walks around looking for a good duelist. Then he finds a boy in blue jacket with white hair with black streaks.Stephen- Hey you over there! Lets duel.Boy- I'll duel you lets go.Stephen- Thanks lets duel. Oh what your nameboy- my name Josh Ligon.Stephen- I'm stephen Nova.The boy started their duel disk.Stephen and josh- lets Duel!!Josh- I'll start Draw I play pyramid turtle 1200/1400 IN attack mode. Then I'll play a spell called reload. This let me add my hand back to my deck and shuffle the deck. Then I'll draw the same amount of cards.Stephen- Lets finish this turn now Josh.Josh- I'm going. I play 1 facedown. My turn is over.Stephen- draw I summon advance hero- ground shaker in defense mode 2200/1000 now I'll play advanced summon, this lets me summon a advanced hero with 1500 or less attack points. I summon advanced hero- fire striker 1400/1000. now I'll attack your pyramid turtle.josh-3800Stephen-4000Josh- Thanks Stephen for activating my monsters effect. I can now special summon a zombie monster with 2000 or less defense points.Stephen- Man that could be a pretty strong monster.Josh- yes it will be. I choose Ryu Kokki 2400/2000Stephen- Thats one heck of a monster.Josh- I told you he will be strong.Stephen- I end my turn. your goJosh- draw! I sacrifice Ryu Kokki to summon Vampire Lord 2000/1500Stephen- I don't get it why didn't you summon vampire lord with pyramid turtles effect.Josh- cause I'm going to bring back Ryu Kokki with a spell card Book of Life. This brings back a zombie from my grave. Ryu Kokki 2400/2000. Now I'll attack with vampire lord destroy fire striker.Stephen- 3400Josh-3800Josh- Alright I activate vampire lord effect It destroys one card on the field I choose ground shaker.Stephen- That leaves me defenseless!!!Josh- I now attack with Ryu Kokki.The skull beast slashed Stephen.Stephen-1000Josh-3800Josh- you keep playing like this and you are going down.Stephen- you're right but I don't plan on losing! Now I play advance helped. Now I sacrifice my vampire lord to summon Vampire Genesis 3000/2100.A huge vampire mix with a bat appeared on the field.Josh- Now I attack with Vampire Genesis destroy his falconThe monster stepped on falcon.Stephen-100Josh- Now Ryu Kokki attack his ground shaker.The skull beast attacked ground shaker.Josh- I end my turn. You can't win no monsters on your field and no cards in your hand. Its over!Stephen- you would like to think that wouldn't ya? Draw I play pot of greed this let me draw 2 cards. Now I play 1 facedown and end my turn.Josh- This is over I draw now I attack with Vampire Genesis.Stephen- hold It I activate advanced wall. This lets me take control of one of your monster and you attack that monster instead of my life points, one more thing when you destroy the monster the damage I would have taken is put on you instead of me.AND THE DAMAGE IS DOUBLED!The monster switched sides on the field.Josh- What!!!Stephen- Now I choose your Ryu Kokki come to my field.The Genesis destroyed josh monster and depleted his life points to 0Stephen- 100Josh-0000Stephen- good duel. I'll take you genesis now plus a locater card.josh handed him vampire lord and vampire genesis plus the locater card.Josh- It would be useless to you if you don't have vampire lord.Stephen- Thanks!Josh- I still have 2 copies of those cards left anyway.Stephen- well see ya around. please comment.Sidney- Man this tournament is lame why can't anyone be a challenge to me.????- you want a challenge well then duel me. Then 1 facedown.Alex- Draw I summon Atomic Firefly 100/200 In defense mode I end my moveStephen- My turn I summon advance hero water charmer 1000/1400 in attack mode. Next I'll attack your Atomic firefly.The the monster with water all over it's body destroyed the small firefly.Alex- you fool you activated my monster ability when he is destroyed in battle the person who destroyed the monster loses 1000 life points.Sidney- Stephen NO!A flame swooped out of alex graveyard and the flame knock Stephen down!Stephen-3000.Sidney-4000.Edward-4000.alex-4000.Alex- Pay more attention next time.Stephen- I activate water charmers effect. When I lose life points my opponent lose half the damage I just got.Water charmer shot a huge wave of water at Alex.Alex-3500.Edward-4000.Sidney-4000.Stephen-3000.Stephen- I end my move.Sidney- Don't worry Stevie I'll take care of these weirdos. Now I play The warrior returning alive. I can bring one warrior Back from the grave. I choose Fire falcon 2100/1100. When he is reborn from the grave I can draw 1 card. I play advanced fusion. This allows me to summon 1 advanced hero from my grave and my hand then fuse them. I choose water charmer and ground shaker. TO create Advance hero cloudier 2500/3000.A monster with brown head and a blue body appeared.Nick- You always pull through when you need it.Stephen- I attack with cloudier. Water pulse!n-2600s-1000Stephen- Next Dark Magician girl will attack you directly! Dark magic attack!N-600s-1000Stephen- Last but not least fire falcon!N-0000s-1000Nick- You beat me.Stephen - Yep.Nick handed Stephen kaiser glider.Stephen- Thanks.They walked away from each other.???- Master He almost has 10 locater cards he need 4 more.???- Well send in Grim He should take him down.Then someone stepped behind them.Chapter 6Josh-What are you two doing spying on my friend????- Look here kid you don't know who you're messing with so back off!Josh- Make ME!???-Uhh! I play Vampire Lady 1550/1550 IN attack mode.A vampire wearing a purple dress appeared on the field.Josh- Next I'll play mist body. This gives my monster the power of invincibility. So it can't be destroyed in battle.Ryu- It seems that this should help you.Josh- It did. I play 1 facedown.Ryu- Draw I summon Howling Insect 1200/1300. Next I play Insect Imitation. I Tribute 1 monster on my side of the field. Then Select 1 Insect-Type monster from my Deck that is 1 Level higher than the Tributed monster and Special Summon it on to my side of the field in face-up Attack Position or face-down Defense Position. Then I shuffle my Deck. I choose My mighty Chainsaw Insect 2400/0000.Josh- That a big insect!The monster had chainsaw pincers and the body of a cockroach.Ryu- Now I'll attack your vampire lady with Chainsaw insect.The pincers had no effect on vampire lady.J-3150r-4000Ryu- The only downside is that you can draw 1 card after the attack.Josh Drew the card.Josh- are you done!Ryu- After this card you will be done. I play the dark enlightenments!A Light blue circle surrounded the two duelist.Josh- What is this!?Ryu- It's the end of you thats whats.Josh- This sure is a weird field spell.Ryu- This is no ordinary field spell. when this duel is over one of our souls will be locked in this circle.Josh- Nonsense that can never happen. It's not real.Ryu- Seeing is believing Joshua.Josh- Lets keep duelin. Draw. huh what happened to your monster?The monster was turned dark and got a power boost of 700 attack points.chainsaw insect 2400/0000-------3100/0000Ryu- This card raises all monster on my side if the field attack points by 700. Also my monster becomes an attribute of darkness.Josh- OK seeing is believe.Ryu- You may take your turn boy!Josh- I sacrifice my vampire lady for my Vampire Lord 2000/1500.A young looking vampire appeared on the field.Josh- Next I'll attack your chainsaw insect.Ryu- You fool my monster is so much stronger then yours.Still the vampire continued to attack and he was destroyed in the process.j-1950r-4000Josh was in pain as he lost life points.Josh- now I play Call of the Mummy! If there is no monster on my side of the field, I can Special Summon 1 Zombie-Type monster from my hand. You can use this effect only once per turn. Now you're in trouble.cause I special summon Despair from the Dark 2800/3000!A huge shadow with huge hand appeared on the field.Ryu- That is quite a monster but it can't stand up to my chainsaw insect.Josh- I'm not done I play pot of greed to draw 2 cards.HE drew the 2 cards and had a smirk on his face.Ryu- what are you smiling about?Josh- I play creature swap.Ryu- How dare you!Josh- I switch Despair from the Dark with your Chainsaw insect.the monsters switched sides.Josh- Now I attack your monster with my chainsaw insect.Ryu- hahahahahahahahahahhahahahah!! my monster will destroy your monster.Josh- how do you figure? oh no.Chainsaw insect 2400/0000.Despair from the Dark 3500/3000.Josh- That means I'm going to lose life points again.AHH!The dark enlightenment's took effect for Despair from the Darkj-850r-4000Josh fell to the ground.Ryu- Come on you have yet to do any damage upon me yet.Josh struggled to get up. 30 seconds later he stands up.Ryu- there you go stand face your defeat like a man.Josh- I play... book of life to bring... back a zombie monster... from my grave... I choose vampire lady 1550/1550. I end my turn.Ryu- Draw I won't even summon a monster I'm just going to seal your soul away with Despair from the Dark. Attack My monster.Josh- No!!!! I activate vampire shield... This trap destroys my vampire... lady and your despair... from the dark.Ryu-What NO!The monsters were destroyed.Ryu- OH no. I only have monsters in my hand.Josh then felt this serge of energy.Josh- I'll take that opening Draw! I activate my Vampire lord's ability. He comes back to my field during my stand-by phase if he was destroyed in battle. Come On back old buddy. Now I'm going to sacrifice him to summon Vampire genesis 3000/2100.A Buff bat like Vampire appeared on the field.Josh- Now I'll activate his effect! I discard 1 ZOMBIE monster from my hand I can special summon another zombie from the grave with equal or less attack points.He discarded dark dust spirit attack 2200Josh- Lets go Vampire Lord 2000/1500. NOW ATTACK VAMPIRE LORD!!!THE vampire slash Ryu in the chest.Ryu-AHHH!!!!!!!r-2000j-850Josh- YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO VAMPIRE GENESIS!!!!the other vampire bit hid neck.Ryu- AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!r-0000j-850Josh- At that it's over.Ryu laid there lifelessly as the circle ate his soul. Josh fell to his knees.Someone picked him up and they walked away.END OF CHAPTER.Chapter 8 part1 Stephen- 1 more locater card and I'm in the finals. Stephen was walking around when he spotted a pro duelist.Stephen- Hey thats... Sirus Truesdale!He dashed over to Sirus. Stephen- You must duel me please!Sirus- Well I never back down from a challenge. Sirus was wearing a green jacket with tennis shoes and died his hair black instead of the normal blue.Stephen- yes! I"m going to duel a pro.Stephen was dancing around.Sirus was talking to somebody over a head set.Sirus-(whispered) Master I have found Stephen Nova I'm about to have a duel with him is that alright????- bring him to H.Q. Sirus- yes master.(cleared throat) Hey kid lets duel somewhere else OK.Stephen- um... OK.Stephen happily followed Sirus.Meanwhile...Sidney was in a duel with this person named luster.Luster- 3000 ( cards in hand 4)Sidney-1800 (cards in hand 3)Neither of them had any cards on the field. Now I summon chaos command magician 2400/1900. Now I play the spell card Gift of the Martyr. By sacrificing a monster on my field the other monster gains that monsters attack points. I give rapid fire magician who has 1600 attack points. Chaos Command Magician 4000/1900.Luster- That amazing! But not enough to take me down.Sidney- He is right. Still attack! The attack did not phase Luster.l-700s-100Sidney- I end my turn.Luster- I play sparks it inflicts 200 points of life point damage. Stephen- I'll begin by playing advance hero water charmer 1000/1400. then 2 face downs. take a turn evil. Sirus- oh boo woo cry me a river. Draw I summon Cyber Esper in attack mode 1200/1800. Next I'll attack your water charmer with Cyber Esper. Go!!! Water charmer was destroyed. A small whip of water hit Sirus. Sirus- 3900Stephen- 3800 Sirus- Why did I lose life points?! Stephen- Water charmer's ability sucker. When he's destroyed you lose half the damage I lost. How's that for a effect? Sirus- not much. I play 1 face down. Stephen- Draw... Sirus- show me your card Stephen Cyber Esper's effect allows me to see every card you draw as long as it stays on the field. Stephen reluctantly showed Sirus the card. It was Advanced Hero Fire Striker. Stephen- I play advanced summon, this lets me summon a advanced hero with 1500 or less attack points. I summon advanced hero- ground shaker in defense mode 1000/2200. Then I normal summon Advanced Hero- lightning boy 1800/1600. The 2 monster sat on the field. Sirus- You gonna continue dork. Stephen- Well since you asked I'll attack with Lightning boy end that Cyber Esper's time on this duel. Lightning Boy Shocked Cyber Esper destroying in. Sirus-3300 Stephen- How ya like that one. I end my turn. Sirus- Oh Shut-up. I summon Jetroid in defense mode 1200/1800. Then I'll play heavy storm destroying all spell and traps on the field. The 2 face down cards on Stephen field was sent to the graveyard. Sirus- I now play quick summon so I can summon again. Stephen- Who else you gonna summon. Sirus-This I sacrifice Jetroid to summon Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 in attack mode 2300/1600. Sirus- Where did... you get that. You always played with roid's or machine cards in general. Sirus- I ditched those cards a while back. I only kept a few just for the hell of it. Stephen- Well continue your turn. (thinking) I can't believe that he ditched those awesome cards. Sirus- I'll now attack your lightning boy. Go Horus burn that monster. Lightning boy was destroyed. Stephen: 3300 Sirus- Looks like we're tied in points now. Stephen- looks like we are. Sirus-I end my turn. Stephen- Draw! Stephen drew dark magician girl. Stephen- ( Thinking) This is for Sidney. (stopped Thinking) I sacrifice my... Wait couldn't you have summoned lv8 Horus. Sirus- See the thing is I don't have level 8 Stephen- Of course. Anyway I sacrifice my Ground shaker to summon dark magician girl in attack mode 2000/1700. Sirus- Whoa!!! Thats my favorite card of all time!!! Stephen- Well now it's about to attack ya. Sirus- And how is that? My monster is far stronger then yours. Stephen- Like This I play the rare spell called code change. I change what it says on the card. Now I'll change my dark magician girl code from gain 300 points for every Dark magician in my grave to gain 300 for every advanced hero in my grave. Sirus-What!!! My favorite monster is gonna destroy my coolest monster! That sucks dark magician girl 2900/1700 Stephen- Now I'll attack your Horus. Bye,bye Horus Horus was struck down by Dark magician girl. Sirus-2700 Stephen- We ain't tied now Truesdale that was for Sidney. I end my turn Sirus- Draw I play pot of greed to draw 2 cards. Next I'll summon Herald of Creation in attack mode 1800/600. Then 1 card face down. Your move. Stephen- alright Draw I play polymerization I fuse my fire Striker with captain wind to summon Advanced hero- Fire falcon 2100/1100. attack his Herald my monster. Herald was destroyed. Sirus- 2400 Stephen- now I'll end this duel by attacking with dark magician girl. End this. Sirus- I don't think so! I activate draining shield. This negates your attack and adds your monster current attack points to my life points. Sirus-5300 Stephen- damn! I end my turn. Over an P.A ???-Luster & Stephen please report to hQ. Sirus- Uhh!
