This thing recently got a reprint in High-Speed Riders.

...which makes sense actually, because I honestly didn't notice that this thing was a Tuner until recently.

It sort of makes sense for it to be one, too, since on the off chance you can't perform a Synchro Summon with this thing because someone stopped one of your Special Summon combos, etc., and this is the only thing you control, you can continually stall by essentially bribing this guy with 800 Life Points per attack.

So, folks, what do you think of this reprint? Was it worth it, or were their better options to choose from for the set?

Discuss.

But yeah this card is pretty legendary and this+Stratos into Goyo or this+Malicious into Colossal Fighter is one of the most famous combos in the history of Yugioh. It's useless now, but it probably deserves to be in HSPR just for nostalgia value.

The reprint was unnecessary but amusing.

About the card itself, the main asset is definitely being DARK attribute, as it is the only DARK Tuner summonable off Emergency Teleport. This makes it usable in decks focused around Underground Arachnid, Beelze, etc.

The effect is decent, but there are more effective stall cards.

Oh wow, really? Damn. Guess I wasn't giving this thing enough credit when it actually really deserves it.

Back then the effect was actually useful too. As long as you had under 1500 ATK there wasn't much destruction going around and it was pretty solid just to summon.

Realistically though, the majority of benefits come from what it is and not from its effect - it's the perfect level for the best synchros in the game back then, is obviously a Psychic for E-Tele and was even DARK for Dark Armed. It really did have everything going for it (except 1000 ATK, but hey)

Well that's pretty cool I guess. Similar to GarlandChaos, I was not aware of Tele-DAD at the time it was played. But this card still has a lot of nostalgia value for me as the first deck I tried to make was a Psychic-Type deck and this was one of the first Tuners I got, and still used until a week ago when I decided to play PSY-Frames.

CCV would have been icing on the cake, but given E-Tele's significance at the time, that would have been a bit much.

If the meta didn't speed up so much, this card may be good.  It literally does have everything going for it; the stall effect is amazing (or, rather, was at the time), and could hold you out because hard removal kind of came at a fairly large cost and they'd need to save it for your big things.  I miss this card.
