'tyleR
Logic & J. Cole fit into the Nas category for me; incredibly talented and horribly uninteresting. Cole's album made me want to sleep and Logic just has the blandest sound & subject material. Kendrick came through with another sound stretching project with more addictive sound. DNA, Duckworth, Fear, & Loyalty are my jams. Azizi Gibson released another sonically dope project. Lyrically lacking, musically amazing. Freddie Gibbs released a super solid, somewhat short return to form and couple of remixes to solidify why he is within the greatest in the game. He also has the therapy session on Viceland that was super interesting. I also have been on a Clipse binge recently. These guys are ungodly good. Startrakk production is destructive. Top recommended tracks by each artist - Kendrick Lamar - DNA, .Element, Duckworth Azizi Gibson - Nintendo King, High, Crown Violet, DK Underwater, Claustrophobic Freddie Gibbs - Amnesia, Alexys, My Boy, Hotboy, Thuggin' Clipse - Virginia, Momma I'm So Sorry, Got it for Cheap, Grindin', Intro (PLUS) Maxo Kream - Grannies, Y.M.G., KKK, Trap Mami, Karo, G3, Silentgr52ve (PLUS) Flatbush Zombies - Ascension, Palm Trees, Trade-Off, Thug Waffle, Smoke Break, Good Grief (PLUS) Vince Staples - Norf Norf, BagBak, Paramedics, 65 Hunnid, Pimp Hand, Senorita
Dad
Just wanna touch on Kendrick's DAMN. LOYALTY and LUST are still stuck in my head. The whole album has some very intense vibe to it. I can't stop listening to it. Freddie's Thuggin' was (insert fire emoji here).

'tyleR
If I only looked at Captain Lego's posts on page 13 I would think he EXCLUSIVELY listens to The Documentary on repeat, sometimes with a Pac song thrown in. Nothing else, just early Game with the occasional Pac record. I absolutely love Rocky's LIVE. LOVE. A$AP. That whole album just exudes personality, and really showcases the mindset & musical ability of the new age. Also it's just Rocky at his most unapologetically gangsta & trill. Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP
Well you aren't completely wrong because that's what I've been mainly listening to lately. The game is one of my favorite rappers. I think think that 2000s era hip hop deserves a lot more credit. T.I. is another favorite rapper of mine: And while I am by no means a Gucci fan, there is one song by him that I like:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Jzgn_-VViI&feature=share

I think think that 2000s era hip hop deserves a lot more credit. - Lol just poking a little fun, G. I love Game, got Documentary 1-2.5, and Doc's Advocate on CD. ALTHOUGH, does the early-mid 2000's era not get enough credit already? I would argue that MANY classic/revered albums came out in the stretch of 2000-2006 plus some scattered killer records until about 2008. I think it's one of the most daunting and revered eras in Hip-Hop actually. What do y'all think? I mean sheet here's a list of (in my opinion) powerhouse albums that came out in the era; 50 Cent - Get Rich or Die Tryin'Three 6 Mafia - Most Known UnknownJay-Z - The Blueprint, The Black AlbumThe Game - The Documentary, Doctor's AdvocateEminem - The Marshall Mather's LP, The Eminem Show, (arguably) EncoreSnoop Dogg - R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece, Tha Blue Carpet TreatmentLil' Wayne - Every Tha Carter, ESPECIALLY Tha Carter 2. If anything it's just not old enough for EVERYONE to glorify yet. I mean I only scratched the surface of amazing albums that came out in that age, & in keeping up with certain spokesman of the culture this particular age is already highly praised & favored. What came after it, however, was a Hip-Hop dark age & I believe it happened so quick it tainted some of the later records that came about. It's silly but the younger Heads tend to lump everything into one bag, so it seems appreciation is low. Face McShooty
A friend of mine shared this on Facebook, and all I had to listen to was the first couple of seconds and I was sold even before he started rapping. He's put out quite a few songs on iTunes, which I have this and his first country single, Head Over Heels, but if he's not played on rap radio, I'm kind of shocked. Comments on YouTube are calling him a Christian Tech N9ne

BLASTERZ
Idk what the f*** they saying but this beat is bumpin and it takes me back to the 90s. the problem with khiphop and jhiphop is that they dont adapt to the modern times. only a few guys like rich chigga and keith ape and most of the asian rappers on 88rising make it because they incorporate trap elements into their songs, while those who stick with the more old school elements of rap have a harder time reaching to the western audience. Even more recent rappers like Kendrick and Logic start to incorporate bangers, despite that not being their technique. Like this sheet is 2000s era and ef took elements from the 90s. 'tyleR
Definitely gonna be the odd one out, and say that the Lil' Pump & Seckond Chaynce tracks are flaming garbage for entirely opposite reasons. Pump attempts decent sounds while relying entirely on catchy, trash disposal lyrics, flow, and content. He fails tremendously at adapting that sound, but he tries. Chaynce is a decent MC who throws all attempts at a decent sound out the window for generic Christian Rock guitar & drum patterns and a sorry hook. He trades a decent flow for poor lyrics, rhyme scheme, and style. His music would almost be passable if it were not a generic P.O.D., Thousand Foot Krutch, & Linkin Park blender mix. Now, I really recommend that people check out the new 2 Chainz & Big Boi albums. 2 Chainz "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music": I can't lie, I'm a major Tity Boi fan. A veteran of trap, few artists accept the comedy that can be braggodocious trap bars better than Tity. Not only is he creative on the lyrical front, his production selection & album construction is A1. 2 Chainz has been able to perfect an album that absolutely showcases his versatile style. I listened 2 times in a row to the fullest extent. This album is ridiculously loaded with different styles, which makes it a much more enjoyable experience. Love tracks: OG Kush Diet, Riverdale Rd., 4 A.M., Burglar Bars, Blue Cheese Big Boi "Boomiverse": Just check out Big Boi, he's too cold.
Dad
I been listening to Tity Boi, like you recommended Ty. So far I'm not in love, tryin to play it a few times/days in a row to get into it and find my own rhythm with it. I do like his production though. He's got great sound quality.
