Thought i explained it easy enough, 2 busses, 7 people in each its greatly hinted were all on the same bus, we each have one target and as it states the targets are on opposing busses ill explain the details of the targets later tinkerer understood quite easily.

Just saying, I took a bit of liberty in my latest post by giving the image the file name SPRT_Duelist_(duelist number).jpg.  I should've asked beforehand, but is that ok?  Oh, and if it is, TJ is going to assume SPRT means "Special Rate" or something for now.

End of the day everyone posted about others characters except mine, a simple "heard him in the backgrounf but payed little notice" would have sufficed, no one made any kind of phrase where they even heard him lol so it got ignored can we just try to not skip posts please.

If you're not interacting directly with a character or doing something notable, it's hard to even acknowledge.

For my characters, what I write in the posts is what my character is paying attention to. We all write in this third-person semi-omniscient point of view (sometimes first person) where our posts follow the perspective of this particular character perfectly. Naturally, I'm not going to acknowledge every post even in a bus setting. I'm not doing this because I didn't read their posts; I'm doing it because it wouldn't make sense to include everything that's going on when it doesn't work with the flow of the post and what the character's paying attention to. If your character is saying something out loud in the middle of a bus with a lot of other people to nobody in particular and didn't do anything to grab anyone's attention like "Hey, your attention please", then it's going to be treated as background white noise. Not because I didn't read your post or was too lazy to acknowledge it, but because that's what my character would do. They didn't notice, just as nobody in a real situation like that would bother to acknowledge something like that when they're preoccupied with something else. It doesn't make sense writing-wise to acknowledge everything because my character isn't paying attention to everything at once; my character is explicitly annoyed at another character and focused on that interaction; why would she acknowledge everything everyone else is saying? Why should I expect everyone to acknowledge what my character is doing outside of the interaction I placed her in? I don't.

And another thing, if you want people to acknowledge your character and interact with them, you're doing it wrong. In a real-world sense, if you want people to talk to you, you don't just say something out loud mostly to yourself and expect people to respond or even acknowledge you. You get someone's attention; you strike up a conversation. Characters need to interact in believable manners, as it not only makes for better interactions but for better writing overall. If you want your character to grab their attention, then your character needs to do something worth grabbing someone's attention.

So, to surmise, nobody needs to acknowledge everyone's posts. They only need to acknowledge the posts when it makes sense to acknowledge them. Like if a character directly addresses their character, if they're in an interaction, or if something loud/big happens that it would be stupid for a person to ignore.

All good post for the next steps will be in a couple hours btw

Also if someone in a real world sense blurted something out and i was aware of it, id subconsciously acknowledge its pressence as i was made aware of it. If someone is running up and down in the bus are you saying because his not acting directly to you that youre not even going to think "whos this guy running up and down."

Just to coincidental to have everyone ignore it at once that too doesnt make for great writing.

Or maybe i just havent RPd in a long time, probably that.
