Kye boasts with overconfidence claiming things don't matter to him or his unaffected by certain things that would normally deter an everyday person, however deep down, his own portrayal of over confidence he knows is just for show. Kye secretly frequently doubts himself and his abilities. His only slightly confident when his dueling. Kye doesn't have a "try your best in everything" personality, if he think he can't do something to the point where he'll be the best at it, then he simply wont do it or will just quit. He doesn't care about what other people think and doesn't think having friends are a necessity. Kye questions everything and trust close to no one. His mother had passed away long ago when he was a child. Growing up Kye rarely saw his father as he was always away either hiking in search of undiscovered geographically rare areas, working at industrial Illusions or touring the world as a Pro Duelist. At the age of 6 Kye woke up one night to see his father arguing with Kye's grandfather at the front of his house. Kye went to the front of the house to notice his father carrying a suitcase. He was intending to leave in order to pursue his dream of becoming a Pro Duelist. Kye not accepting of the loss challenged his father to a duel on the grounds of if he won that he would stay. Agreeing to this his father accepted the duel and won easily against his son. Kye's father left three things when he left for good. A new deck for Kye and his older brother Dye and a quote for Kye to remember, "reach your limits, see what you can achieve if nothing worth obtaining is reached. Move on." This quote stuck to Kye through his years after n growing up. Kye and his brother Dye would duel almost every day with their grandfather who always taught them to push further then what you though you could achieve and to never give up, this in essence was lost by Kye who only took on the words of his father unlike his 5 years older brother Dye who adhered to the lessons of their grandfather moreso. Kye grew up trying many different sports, failing them and quitting after 1 or 2 trys, it was only with Dueling where he saw a winning edge and a future of being a top duelist. Kye turned into an Amateur rank Duelist at age 16, and had left home shortly after his older brother with the hope of becoming a Pro Duelist and meet his Dad on the Pro Stage. After winning a tournament in his home town he has been invited to compete on a secluded island in the hopes of gaining a pro contract. My name's Yukari Kawakami, and since my first name starts with Yu, that means I get to win, like, every duel ever. Kay?"Personal Information:Account Name: Admiral_Stalfos19 Character Name: Yukari KawakamiAge: 15Personality: When she's not dueling anyone, Yukari is a nice person to be around... for the most part. She acts somewhat like a child though, which is likely due to the fact that she'd hit puberty at the rather late age of 14. Her abnormally high-pitched voice doesn't help anyone take her seriously. However, ever the optimist, Yukari will light up any room with her big beaming smile which never seems to fade regardless of the situation that she faces. True, one may find her awkward be around at times; especially when she mentions anything about a fourth wall. But whether she's out in the dueling field or just hanging out with whoever happens to be around her at the time, Yukari will always remain highly energetic, and she will embrace her high level of energy in the hammiest way possible, whether one likes it or not. This brings us to her on-field personality. Here, Yukari will act the part of a knight in shining armor, whereas she'll pin an opponent that she doesn't know or doesn't like as an evil villain who must be taken down at all costs. She will also say that the supposed 'villain' will go down no matter how strong he or she starts, and all because the plot demands it. It's this persona that brings out Yukari's true level of arrogance, which is a rare feat among any girl. Of course, if she ever happens to be called arrogant, then she'll just play dumb. But in any case, she'll treat her Amateur Ranked Duelist career as one big adventure, just like in the many Duel Monsters anime that she watched as a child. Appearance: Incidentally, Yukari only stands at 147cm (4' 10"), which is rather small for a girl her age. The reason why she's small for her age is that she only just entered puberty a year ago... which also explain why her voice is still abnormally high pitched, as well as why she has an admittedly flat chest. Her BWH ratio is 21-20-23, with her hips currently being her body's best asset. Oddly enough, Yukari wears her nightie everywhere including in her sleep, but when going out, she has a large hooded jacket on over top, which adds much needed length considering the nightie itself cuts low across her pelvis. Yukari's Duel Disk is modeled after the old-school KaibaCorp Duel Disks; its main body is red, but it has black borders and buttons, and pink Monster Card and Field Spell Card slots. Family: Yasu Kawakami (Mother/Divorced/Re-Married to Nari) Chojiro Kawakami (Father/Divorced)Nari Nakagawa (Stepmother/Married to Yasu)Fujiko Nakagawa (10yo Stepsister)Tsuginori Nakagawa (12yo Stepbrother)Quirks: Yukari seems to have fourth wall awareness to some extent. She also daydreams that she's in some kind of anime, which she'll do frequently.Attributes/Weaknesses: Just because her name starts with Yu, Yukari seems to think that she's under some form of plot armor that renders her incapable of ever losing a duel. This seems to put her in a state of denial when her opponent does the finishing move instead of her.Origin: Yukari lives in a normal house with her mother, stepmother and step-siblingsHistory: As a child, Yukari Kawakami had little interest in the game of Duel Monsters, despite its growing popularity. She was much more of an anime fan herself. Specifically, while she watched a few Duel Monsters anime here and there, there was one anime in particular that had nothing to do with Duel Monsters that had gotten her hooked. It was called Arcane Lung, and was about a priestess named Ankharet who, along with a task-force of 6 other priests, was instructed to combat and seal away a powerful unholy spirit before it could be united with its body and unleash all hell upon the world. Yukari was entranced by Priestess Ankharet's sheer beauty and character development and whatnot, and made sure to watch every episode of the anime. However when her parents divorced and she was consequently made to move in with Nari Nakagawa and her family, Yukari raced to the TV in hopes that she'd still catch the episode of Arcane Lung that would've been running at the time, only to be completely confused by new TV system that Nari had in place of the one that Yasu and Chojiro used to run. However, being only 7 years old at the time, which meant that missing her favorite anime would quite literally mean the end of the world, Yukari desperately flicked through the channels until finally Priestess Ankharet looked to be on-screen. However, it turned out that Yukari was watching an interview with the actress who played as Priestess Ankharet, who was revealed to have been Ranked 25 among the League of 50. It was this revelation that sparked Yukari's hopes to be just like Priestess Ankharet. And so at the age of 8, she signed up to be an Amateur Ranked Duelist without the slightest amount of prior knowledge. It was a stupid assumption Yukari had that she could just slap on a Duel Disk and call herself a Duelist, and her poor understanding of basic rulings made her first impressions abysmal. Eventually, the 8-year-old Yukari got the hang of the mix-matched deck of cards that she was given for free, but it turned out that she got her act of an arrogant b**** down monumentally earlier than she got the art of playing the game of Duel Monsters in a competent manner down... which wasn't a smart thing to have achieved. But at least she got her first recorded win several days later, even if that meant getting through 26 losses first. That victory alone was enough for Yukari to continue her quest, changing cards around as she became able to replace them, and challenging people left right and center with mixed results. Eventually, she found herself a card salesman who was selling an archtype of Monster and Spell Cards known as the Hexterra archetype. Finding the monsters cool, Yukari bought the lot, using Yasu's credit card to complete the purchase. Considering her loss record stopped at 214 losses since then, it was safe to say that she was highly satisfied.Dueling Information:Duelist History: Yukari started dueling as an Amateur Ranked Duelist since she was 8 years old. She was hopelessly pathetic at first, but after 7 years of learning her cards, and doing the smart thing and switching up decks, Yukari became able to hold her own in a duel, even against top contenders. The majority of her wins were achieved thanks entirely to her current deck, the Hexterras. The ironic thing is that despite the Hexterras being known to have luck issues, Yukari had never lost since switching to them. All of these phrases describe Adeen accurately. Adeen is a reckless individual who hates taking orders from anyone and considers herself both very strong and very independent (to the point that she hates to accept help from others). Adeen isn't a bully or anything; she may be tough and aggressive, but her morals are on the right side, and even if she wants to win more than anything, she still knows the value of protecting other people. A hot-head through and through, Adeen still knows how to stay on a person's good side.Character Appearance:Family:- Father KIA in service.- Mother staying at home and looking after Adeen's younger siblings- Like... 5 younger brothers who are practically identical in personality.Quirks:- What's "Thinking things through"?- Absolutely hates being called short (is fairly short; all her brothers are taller than her)Attributes/Weaknesses:Attributes:- Despite her hot-head and rash thinking, her physical ability (and dueling ability) are both strong enough that brute-forcing matters is still typically successful.- Doesn't snap under pressure normally- Doesn't back down from any challenge...Weakness:- ...Which can typically be a bad thing.- A very short temper that's easily exploitable- Seriously does not think a lot of things through enough. Background BiographyCharacter Origin: Currently lives with her family + 5 brothers. Does not spend much time with her brothers.History: Adeen has always taken after her father more than her mother. Adeen's father was an ex-pro duelist and spent many years through the pro circuit. Michael Williams was renowned for his many awards, and helped shape his daughter to be tough and strong in many circumstances. Unfortunately, Adeen was not totally successful at this. Throughout normal school and duel school, Adeen was often picked on for her both her skill and because of her ease of being riled up. Adeen wanted more than anything to be strong like her father, and worked as hard as she could to achieve this. Unfortunately, instead of dealing with the emotional issues that come from the bullying, Adeen spent more time trying to become a better duelist. Adeen's large family didn't necessarily help with the matters. With so many brothers, Adeen was more or less a drop in the bucket. Adeen found herself isolated from her five brothers, and was often the torment of them as well. Her parents tried to help, but the worse matters got, the more Adeen pushed them away. Then, the time came where Michael Williams was called into service in the military. Adeen's father left her his deck, and told her that no matter how bad things got, she would pull through and become the strong and courageous woman that he always knew she would become. A year later, Adeen's family got word that their father and husband had been killed in action from a roadside bomb. Shrapnel had pierced the vehicle he was in. From here on, Adeen knew that she was alone and had to be strong. From then on, Adeen has been looking after her brothers and working towards becoming the pro duelist that her father was; to respect his memory and live up to his dreams.Duelist BiographyDuelist History: Grew up dueling with her father and eventually her brothers. He is almost always slouching and often drags his long feet along the ground. He's often seen wearing a grey tee with a long-sleeve, open, button-down shirt on top. He often wears faded jeans with pockets always bulging. His sandy, untidy hair is permanently disheveled and often covers his very pretty green eyes. He also has a shadow of a mustache on his upper lip. His white and grey duel disk is mostly standard issue, but he custom-added a small computer to it so that he could look up card effects... unfortunately the whole contraption tends to wig out if too much is happening on it at once.***Family: His parents are both living. He also has 2 living grandparents, a paternal aunt (named June) and 2 younger twin sisters.Quirks: He always carries around random objects in his pockets but some random objects he always seems to have on-hand include:A small flat-head screwdriverA penA hair clipA penny Parts from machines that he took apart. When he gets nervous, he begins fiddling with the stuff.Attributes/Weaknesses: He loves to tinker and figure out how things work. If he gets his hands on some new machine, he cannot help taking it apart. This ends up being somewhat troublesome because he tends to forget how to put it back together again, oftentimes leaving him with screws or nuts or bolts that he ends up keeping. This applies to people as well. He wants to figure out why people think the way they do and often throws away relationships for the sake of sating his curiosity. Background BiographyCharacter Origin: Ironically, TJ was born in a small town called Puzzle in Eastern Europe. His family moved to Greece where his little sisters were born before going to America. Now residing in Pennsylvania, he often jokes about being "fully Americanized" in as big a Greek accent as possible.History: "Your son is going to live". Those words from the elderly doctor began TJ's first day of the rest of his life. Born unable to breathe naturally, he was considered doomed at birth. But with the skilled efforts of Dr. Anonymous, and the hope of both his parents, TJ pulled through. Unfortunately, this complication at birth was followed by certain mental defects.Years later, TJ grew older and was discovered that though he tended to be slow in following speech and understanding, he had a very keen sense of mechanics and getting understanding through words and pictures. His parents, seeing this potential, let him have free reign over things that interested him. Ultimately, this led his folks into owning many broken clocks and radios but also a wildly enthusiastic TJ.It was middle school when TJ began dueling. His friend Tork had gotten a lot of cards of his own and it was after much begging (and chores) that TJ got cards of his own. TJ initially had difficulty grasping the game, but once he did he began to see the much finer details that most of his friends missed. His analytical mind was able to form structured combos and understand drawing likelihoods and his deck, whenever he modified it, always followed his deeper understanding of the game. As he entered high school, he registered to become a Ranked Duelist wanting to hone his skills further. Unfortunately, this did not pan out as his school had only a handful of Ranked Duelists and, in the end, he did not end up playing too many duels for Rank as much as for pleasure. Duelist BiographyDuelist History: He has been dueling for 5 years and as a ranked duelist for 2 years. He his a high ranking member of the school's "Duelist Legacy", a club that challenges other schools to ranked duels. His ultimate goal, though, is to win enough to participate in the prestigious "Puzzle Championship", a small but influential tournament with different rules that annually takes place on TJ's birthday... in his birthtown of Puzzle. Duelist Record: 16W/3L/1D Duelist Title: TJ "Sleepwalker" Scora Deck Name: He runs on 3 Archetypes: the Hiddens, the Deeps, and the Wannabes. He calls his deck "The Outer Zone" and it actually is his secondary deck. He gave his main one, dubbed "Golden Glow", to his childhood friend, Tork.Deck Strategy: Beatdown with various methods to inflict burn. Deck:Hidden Sorcerer of the Deep RealmHidden, the Deem MechDeep, the Hidden Warrior(He only has a single Extra Deck monster. It is a contact fusion monster.)I will update their card text/balance them a bit and post them to a new topic, but if you want a sense of what they do, see: http://forum.yugiohc...he +deep +realm ***Note: Due to his duel disk's tendency to malfunction, TJ, though able to look up things with his built-in computer system, CANNOT play more than 4 monsters and/or spell and trap cards at once and cannot use his field spell zone at all. (kinda wanted to pump up the challenge for myself if that's cool) [spoiler= 'Yuna Saidai' (TheFinalFan)]Account Name: TheFinalFanCharacter Name: Yuna SaidaiCharacter Age: 21Character Personality: Yuna is the embodiment of what people think of when they think of the right side of the brain. Yuna is a very emotional young woman, and is always thinking positively, no matter the situation. Even when it won't help her, she will always speak her mind and make her opinion known. She is excellent at reading emotions, and always wants to make her friends happy. She loves the arts, especially music and artistic design, and likes white and blue the most, but loves all of the colors a close second. And while she is not very good at strategy and puzzles, she is one of the most intuitive and creative duelists in the Amateur Circuit.Character Appearance: Yuna has long blue hair that cascades down her back to about waist length, though she can tie it into a braid to fit into her helmet. She also has a ponytail that drapes down the right side of her head, which distinguishes her from her twin sister, who has it on the left. Her bright blue eyes glisten with energy and youthfulness. Yuna likes to wear, when not dueling on her motorcycle, a white and blue racing jacket with the Konig Motorrad Aktiengesellschaft (KMAG) logo, which is a shield that has two swords and a halberd crossed to make a stylized letter "K", on the back, a pair of blue jeans, a white blouse, and white and blue boots. Her racing outfit is a bodysuit version of her racing jacket, complete with a helmet that resembles that of a knight's, but with a polarized visor and an air filter instead.Family: Bertram Konig (Father), Ai Saidai (Mother, Deceased), Yuno Konig (Sister, Missing)Quirks: Yuna and Yuno share a Psychic Bond, and have been known to stare out into space for periods of time while conversing, or talking telepathically while walking about. Yuna also believes that nothing is impossible, and if anyone suggests otherwise, she is compelled to prove them wrong. She is also left-handed.Attributes/Weaknesses: Yuna is not good at strategy, tactics, or logic puzzles, and prefers to act instead of think, which makes her come off as impulsive. She also occasionally slips from English into Japanese or German, using the equivalent word in the language she is speaking. Detailed Biography Character Origin: Born and raised in Germany.History: Yuna Saidai is the daughter of German automotive tycoon Bertram Konig and Japanese Pro Duelist Ai Saidai, the "Psychic Queen". Ai sadly passed away delivering her twin daughters, but like their mother, both Yuna and her twin sister Yuno are talented Psychic Duelists, and shared a telepathic and emphatic bond with each other. While Yuna tended to be more emotional, impulsive, and free-spirited, yet compassionate, outgoing, and charismatic, Yuno was calculated, methodical, and logical, yet stubborn, competitive, and sure of herself. As the twins grew up together, Yuno got the better grades in school, but Yuna was more popular. This was even true at Duel Academy, where Yuna was in Slifer Red and Yuno in Obelisk Blue. But during their Amateur Level Qualifiers, Fortune chose her favored daughter by granting Yuna a hard-won victory and Yuno a crushing defeat. Bitter at being separated by status, Yuno took a portion of her family's money and vanished, but resolved to support her sister and be there for her through their bond, and helps Yuna by giving her tips and training from afar. Now, Yuna is ready to prove herself and follow in her mother's footsteps, while her sister is out there, making her own way through the darkness of Underground Dueling while trying to stay out of the shadow of her sister. Also, are we allowed to use real cards or just ones made on-site?Not any major reason, just think it looks better when posting it in the RP. Either way is acceptable. Generic spells and traps yes, in terms of monsters and archtypes id say no, unless you created an archtype that surrounds and existing monster

The well-suited businessman has to always remind people of him being upper class by always drinking out of a golden chalice and having a golden duel disk. The amount of class he tries to display actually annoys people more than help him. He's even been mugged because of it, and he only laughed it off. However, business is about staying ahead of the competition, even if it means undermining them. Character Appearance: http://cosplayers.acparadise.com/49267/a7b15129cced81a6e2edc8cfed09e235-t.jpg Family: Dennis Crawford-motherStanley Crawford-father Quirks: David has an act for getting himself into trouble, often forgetting that his money is actually his parents' money. He also can get very confident in his abilities, not remembering his own limits. Attributes/Weaknesses: David is quite egotistical, even smug. There is never a moment in which he isn't smiling. Though, this leads to being over confident. Background Biography Character Origin: David resides in a comfortable 2 story manor on the countryside with his family. Almost no trouble concerned him because he could always just bail himself out. Because of this, he's never had to actually overcome anything and develop. After hearing that his parents were going to retire, David learned that he would have to grow up and learn how to actually function in the real world. This is when the tournament came in. If he could win, then he would know that he could hold his own in tough situations. However, this wouldn't come easy. He had no experience in the game and had just recently learned how to play it. Knowing this, winning would take a little more work, even if it meant cheating other people out. Admiral_Stalfos19
From what I can tell, thankfully not. Apparently we only need to reveal 4 signature cards, 1 of which is to be the ace. ... In any case, interest checked (although only because it's been a while since I felt like jumping into a YGO RP), and I'm working on an app. Although is the account name really necessary as a field? Considering you can just look up and to the left slightly to identify who made the char to begin with?
Ghoulish
No full deck list is required, the 3 signature and ace card allows for everyone to gather how the cards will be balanced, i like the idea of people not knowing what other peoples cards do like the show and what itd be like in real life which it isnt...unfortunately. Admiral_Stalfos19
[spoiler=Yukari Kawakami, An Enigma of Bubbly Ham]"Hi! My name's Yukari Kawakami, and since my first name starts with Yu, that means I get to win, like, every duel ever. Kay?"Personal Information:Account Name: Admiral_Stalfos19Character Name: Yukari KawakamiAge: 15Personality: When she's not dueling anyone, Yukari is a nice person to be around... for the most part. But in any case, she'll treat her Amateur Ranked Duelist career as one big adventure, just like in the many Duel Monsters anime that she watched as a child.[spoiler=Appearance:]Incidentally, Yukari only stands at 147cm (4' 10"), which is rather small for a girl her age. Family: Yasu Kawakami (Mother/Divorced/Re-Married to Nari)Chojiro Kawakami (Father/Divorced)Nari Nakagawa (Stepmother/Married to Yasu)Fujiko Nakagawa (10yo Stepsister)Tsuginori Nakagawa (12yo Stepbrother)Quirks: Yukari seems to have fourth wall awareness to some extent. Eventually, the 8-year-old Yukari got the hang of the mix-matched deck of cards that she was given for free, but it turned out that she got her act of an arrogant jabroni down monumentally earlier than she got the art of playing the game of Duel Monsters in a competent manner down... which wasn't a smart thing to have achieved. The ironic thing is that despite the Hexterras being known to have luck issues, Yukari had never lost since switching to them.Duelist Record: 674 wins; 214 lossesDuelist Title: "The Almighty Princess of Supreme Main-Protagonistic Awesomeness"Deck Name: HexterrasDeck Strategy: The Hexterra archtype has a unique trait, in which each and every card in the deck requires the roll of a 6-sided die in some way. Consider me a side interest if you have that five already. If five is the magic number and everyone in said five is getting it together just fine, I am cool with sitting out. If you have a use for a confident male character who could be questionable, uses a deck with a water theme and ritual flavor barrowed from the Gishkis, boss cards, with a little mix of field control and burn, lemme know and I put that app together for you. Noted. I'll make that clarification now

Admiral_Stalfos19
Actually, while we're here, do you intend for a level cap on our aces, at least for the moment? I ask because I was considering making Yukari's ace a Level 10 Synchro or Fusion (haven't decided which of the two just yet, though)
Ghoulish
For now level 8 is the cap, didnt think to put it in. Is it possible to hold off the level 10 for the next arc?
