It's not that interesting a card for those of you who've known the game since way back when. Just a representation of the Rogue's Hero Power in card form.

It's gotten a lot of...well, not love that's for sure, being 4 mana and slow. But I've been playing around with it (granted in Casual...and with Pirates...) and I've found this to be pretty powerful.

at 1/3 for 4, it's not all that good, and 2/3 for 6 isn't any better, but given that you can slowly buff this over time to become as rediculous as an 8 attack weapon (yes I have achieved this) trading off minions becomes really easy at that point, as well as giving Blade Flurry the ability to clear just about anything.

And with the weapon buffs Rogue already has I really do think this could become a powerful Oil Rogue tech.

Again, my testing is pretty limited so I can't speak from a hugely meta standpoint, but I'd like to see someone try and use this in the meta.

biggest problem is that rogue usually wants to go fast and this weapon is too slow for that

this being in something like warrior would be much better

I've never seen rogue go fast. Even when it goes "fast" it's only going fast in late game, using spells to slow the game out until then.

Card is simply far too slow to be good. You're going to die far faster already because of what the class actually focuses around without having any kind of built-in armour gain so you will never realistically get a chance to actually buff it up to anything better than an Assassin's Blade without having already lost. It also doesn't spell well for this card that people are beginning to be more and more likely to tech either Ooze or Harrison due to the popularity of Christmas Lights and Patron, which completely defeat the purpose of playing it.

So pretty much it doesn't have a redeemable factor right now.

Think of it another way;

You are technically paying 8 mana for 6 damage, (1 swing with 1 power, 1 with 2, 1 with 3), because you have to be using the weapon to control the board in anything but a late late situation where you have mana spare to be pumping into it. And that's just underwhelming.

And in an enviroment where Harrison Jones/Acidic Ooze are common it's kinda eeeh, because again you can't save charges on it as you pump it because of the value the card gives.
