Aix
The Fantasia Series will be a mega-archetype consisting of numerous 7-card sets. The idea is to try to create an archetype card pool consisting of numerous cards without any card being more powerful that the others. Doing this hopefully allows for great variety in Decks built with this archetype. You are free to create a 7-card set to add to this archetype, which will automatically receive a review and rep from me~! The core idea of this archetype is the use of Fantasia Counters. Several guidelines will be followed when making cards for the Fantasia Series in order to prevent abuse. What a lot of these guidelines do is moderate the difficulty of certain actions to make the dynamic of Fantasia Counters more complex.Fantasia Counters should not be easily placed on non-"Fantasia" cards, particularly your opponent's non-"Fantasia" cards. This prevents too much abuse of "Hex Mistress Julia", and any possible future cards that affect non-"Fantasia" cards with Fantasia Counters.Fantasia Counters should not be easily distributed en mass. Distribute means to freely place a certain amount of counters. This includes effects that easily place Fantasia Counters.Monsters should have relatively low ATK and DEF to make up for the fact that they can gain immunity to card effects.Effects should not have a continuous boost on ATK or DEF for the same reason as above.+1 or +0 searching or toolboxing is a no without heavy restrictions or costs. I want to see if I can make a balanced card pool that searching will not be an absolute necessity like with most Decks.Special Summoning should be kept to a minimum. Don't make many Pendulum monsters, as the Pendulum Spells are basically invulnerable.Lore-wise, Fantasia is a vast fantasy world with countless hidden mysteries. This set in particular consists of DARK Spellcasters, thus they have the power to place Fantasia Counters on other cards, like curses. [spoiler=001 - Witch of Grand Mysteries]A legendary witch who has discovered the hidden mysteries of Fantasia and uses her powers to call upon them. Reclusive and cautious by nature, she has high defensive capabilities, but is vulnerable when caught off-guard. This is a "Fantasia" card, and is unaffected by non-"Fantasia" card effects while you control a "Fantasia" card with less Fantasia Counters on it. When this card is Summoned from your hand: Place 1 Fantasia Counter on another face-up card. When this card is destroyed: Special Summon 1 "Fantasia" monster from your Deck or Graveyard. This effect of "Witch of Grand Mysteries" can only be activated once per turn. [spoiler=002 - Cheshire the Illusion Master]His whimsical and carefree front is only to hide his embarrassingly altruistic nature. Working behind the scenes, Cheshire protects the residents of Fantasia. Pendulum Effect: When a "Fantasia" card(s) would be destroyed by an opponent's card (by battle or by card effect), you can destroy this card instead of 1 of those cards. Monster Effect: This is a "Fantasia" card, and is unaffected by non-"Fantasia" card effects while you control a "Fantasia" card with less Fantasia Counters on it. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can discard 1 card; place or remove 1 Fantasia Counters on another face-up card. [spoiler=003 - Mavis the Horned Mystic]Very little is known about her, she comes and go as she pleases, never staying for long. It is believed she is actually really knowledgeable about Fantasia. This is a "Fantasia" card, and is unaffected by non-"Fantasia" card effects while you control a "Fantasia" card with less Fantasia Counters on it. You can Tribute this card and discard 1 card; add 1 "Fantasia" card from your Deck to your hand and place 1 Fantasia Counter on a face-up card. [spoiler=004 - Hex Mistress Julia]A sadomasochistic wielder of dark magic who is intoxicated by the sight of destruction, she returns time and time again to blow things up. Pendulum Effect: You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Fantasia" monsters. During your End Phase: Place 1 Fantasia Counter on another face-up card. Monster Effect: This is a "Fantasia" card, and is unaffected by non-"Fantasia" card effects while you control a "Fantasia" card with less Fantasia Counters on it. You can Tribute this card; destroy all cards on the field with Fantasia Counters. This effect is not treated as a "Fantasia" card effect. [spoiler=005 - Chronos Contract] This is a "Fantasia" card, and is unaffected by non-"Fantasia" card effects while you control a "Fantasia" card with less Fantasia Counters on it. When this card is activated, your opponent can banish 1 card in their hand, and if they do, destroy this card and place 1 Fantasia Counter on a face-up card. Once per turn, during your Main Phase 2: You can distribute Fantasia Counters on face-up "Fantasia" cards equal to the number of Fantasia Counters on this card +1. [spoiler=006 - Ephemeral Dark Sword] This is a "Fantasia" card. Remove any number of Fantasia Counters on the your side of the field, then target 1 "Fantasia" monster you control with no Fantasia Counters on it; this turn, it gains 700 ATK for each Fantasia Counter removed (max. 2800), and if it destroys a monster by battle, you can place 1 Fantasia Counter on a face-up card. You can only activate 1 "Ephemeral Dark Sword" per turn. [spoiler=007 - Mavis the Horned Goddess]Mavis reveals her true form?!?!?!?! 1 "Fantasia" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters This is a "Fantasia" card, and is unaffected by non-"Fantasia" card effects while you control a "Fantasia" card with less Fantasia Counters on it. During either player's turn: You can Tribute this card; banish 1 card on the field. Reps for Reviews~!
