1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
When this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 card in your Pendulum Zone; Special Summon it, but this card cannot attack for the rest of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon" once per turn. Monsters in your opponent's possession cannot activate their effects during the Battle Phase.

Because a guy rammed a Serene Psychic Witch into this... after I used it to kill Kozmo Sliprider.

Seriously though, I've actually not been using it for its SS effect lately. There are just a funk ton of annoying battle phase cards, be they Valk, floaters, Honest/Juragedo, etc., and it's nice to shut them the hell off. Makes killing people a lot easier.

Also, it has a very good name. Very, very good.

I'm still mad that devpro let that guy use timaeus the knight of destiny while this was out.

Does Timaeus activate?  It's wording actually has signs of both activation and continuous effects.  Cuz if it doesn't actually activate Meteorburst does nothing.

All I remember about this card is a guy on NAC whining about how it proves the Konami anti-Synchro bias next to Absolute and Vortex.

but... but this is better than absolute

Vortex > Meteor >= Gravity > Absolute

Absolute's only real usage is gimmicky damage turns, which are inconsistent, or powerful Fusion Fodder for Vortex. It's really not THAT good =x

It's confirmation bias, Plain and simple. He considered them only in dedicated Odd-Eyes (and thus only considered the first effect), without accounting for the fact Meteorburst has the highest spashability. It was also pre-Gravity. By contrast, the other 3 take more deck dedication, especially Absolute.

well even more to that, magician has trouble making Absolute efficiently without making this, as wasting /2/ pendulums on it is rarely the way to go.
