Flame Dragon
http://kotaku.com/nintendo-announces-pikmin-4-in-the-weirdest-way-1729155958?rev=1441641387559&utm_campaign=Socialflow_Kotaku_Facebook&utm_source=Kotaku_Facebook&utm_medium=Socialflow So, that came out of no where. I figured we'd eventually get another one, but not so soon after 3. Also, the way they announced it is very weird. Regardless, I love the series (have done no death runs of 2 and 3) and am looking forward to it.
Agro
So the assumption here is that it's an Nx title, but to be honest, I also would not be surprised in the slightest if it actually ends up coming to 3DS.
Flame Dragon
Heres the thing, I don't THINK the NX will come out next year and if its almost done I can't see them waiting 2 years on it. My guess is its another Wii I title. Kind of strange, but Pikmin 1 and 2 were both GC games and came out 3 years apart and 4 is likely to have a similar gap. Agro
Yeah but people don't care as much about Pikman, the last one didn't sell as well as the original, and Miyamoto has been saying for ages how he's wanted a handheld Pikman title. Also if it's 3DS, then my E3 prediction for a 3DS Pikman would retroactively come true.
Flame Dragon
I knew 3 didn't sell SUPER well but I hear its still pretty expensive meaning the game has demand. Didn't know Miyamoto wanted a handheld title though. Would be weird to have the franchise move there, but stranger things have happened.
Agro
I knew 3 didn't sell SUPER well but I hear its still pretty expensive meaning the game has demand.Thing is price doesn't mean anything for Nintendo games. They virtually never drop them. Look at Star Fox 64 3D, it's still at full price.

Look at Star Fox 64 3D, it's still at full price. I meant secondary market. Though that might be because it didn't sell a ton so it didn't have a lot of copies made, and is rare as a result. My base assumption was "high secondary market price=high demand for the game" but that could be pretty off base. I honestly know little about this stuff outside of what one of my friends tells me. LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
To help Agro's point.I haven't really been interested in Pikmin, but if this were to come out on the 3DS I'd buy it.
Cosmo.
Pikmin i heard was very cool, and i'm maybe interested in this one. My cousin loves the series, so i get to see him play, and i must say that the visuals are beautiful. If we could get this on a handheld (maybe as another New3DS exclusive (Because it seems like it requires more powerful hardware)) i would buy it
Agro
Only problem with handheld is processing power. How many Pikman can you render on the screen without it both being a problem for the hardware or for the user's eyes. Unless, of course, the Nx is the hybrid/possible handheld, whereas it'll probably be an excellent way to show off the console's power.

I can totally see a handheld limiting the number of Pikmin you can have out at once. 100 is the base level so I'd assume that would be the amount they'd want but that certainly might be too much for the 3DS.
