Flame Dragon
Unless I'm blind we don't have a thread on these. First, we need to figure out a good name for these because I don't like "slow lands". Second these seem pretty good. Curious how often they'll end up coming into play untapped in a 3 color standard deck, but being able to fetch them should make up for that. Does kind of suck that we are REALLY pushed into just ally colors until the next batch come out.
Trebuchet MS
Friends and I have nicknamed them "buddy" lands. They're cool for Standard, but don't exactly have a good position in Modern, usually due to the lower basic count and faster overall speed of the game (these come in untapped turn 3 earliest, turn 2 if you Farseek). They're also out of the question in Vintage and Legacy. Commander, though, will welcome them with open arms. So don't expect their price to go too high, despite the fact that they're fetchable. Flame Dragon
The buddy lands is a decent nickname. Curious what the community at large will end up going with. The only modern decks I see wanting these are controls decks since they might be slow enough to get out enough basic to have these come in untapped. Though even there they might only want one or two. As for EDH they should be good in 2 color decks. Not sold on 3. I normally want to have about 6 basics in those kinds of decks and that isn't enough to turn this on reliably and I'd rather play the scry lands over them since I'd value the scry higher than the small percentage chance they come into play untapped. .Rai
Not being mirrors of the Scars fast lands makes me not want to call them slow lands. Those might be printed in the future. I chuckled at the suggestion of tangolands, "it takes two to tango".

I mean, its close with these being live turn 3 at the earliest where the fast lands turn off after turn 3, but they need a better name. Think I'm just going to change the thread name to BFZ Duel Lands until we have a better one.
bury the year
We also already have had two cycles named "slowlands:" Land Cap etc. from Ice Age, and Cloudcrest Lake etc. from Kamigawa. I've seen "SAVlands," as in "Serra AVenger lands:" you can only get them untapped by turn 3! Anyways... These will see play everywhere in Standard, as is normal. Modern decks will only want them to splash a second color into a monocolor deck: any other distribution won't have enough basics to get them to enter untapped. Legacy and Vintage are right out. They'll see a lot of play in Commander, though: being able to grab these guys off of Farseek, Nature's Lore, and other ramp spells is pretty important. EDIT: Also, I like how the flavor on these better distinguish the continents of Zendikar. That was one of my major beefs with the original block: there were so many place names, compared to something like Theros, that they all blended together.
