Chicago Regionals Shinemon Nitta

Recommended Posts

So I'll be taking this deck to the Chicago Regionals and defending my ninja way. So this is the 8th or 9th variation of this deck and it performs like a dream (despite the odd ratios).

4 Onifundo seems suboptimal, 3 seems perfectly fine in all honesty.

Could definitely do with cutting some things down in your G2s, notably the 12k attacker, so that you can bump the stride enabler up to 4 or something. Oh you also should definitely max out on Rune Star.

Cut Homura Raider down to 2 and max out Kaga. C'mon man, you should know that this card is the reason this deck even works. :(

12 triggers btw bud.

Nah 4 Onifundo is perfect because with that you aren't screwed with drawing any of them early and it maximizes your chance of getting off either a Homura or another string of Kaga attacks

Dokube is pretty essential because him being at 14 is good for when your opponent gets a damage trigger...now you're set for when you punch rearguards

Kaga turns take a very ugly hit in the presence of a damage trigger...Homura not so much. In testing its actually a safer bet...

The stride enabler...meh Shirayuki puts a G'3 in your hand and 3 works just fine...

Trigger line fixed

Sure, you can keep Onifundo at 4. I will be hesitant on keeping Dokube above 3 however. A lot of the JCG builds and I know quite a few people from the ECG believe that Dokube doesn't need to be at more than 3 if only because they're a safety bet while Rune Star will push your opponent to the edge a lot more than most other cards will. It's also a big advantage gainer early on and will win games when you push them all back in the deck.

I'll tag out the a dokube for a runestar...There are many a times where Homura benefits from having a rearguard on both sides in addition to the reasons you named.

As for JCG, they're pretty big on Typhoon and Yasuie which I don't do for Lore reasons (well its the 4th Murakumo deck I have but nonetheless). So with Shira and Yasuie I can adapt my defensive playstyle to a deck that has a lot of rush capabilities.
