Lilith, Queen of Demons (A DAD counter?)

The Dark One

Recommended Posts

Good picture, no grammar or spelling mistakes and a more or less realistic effect, even though the second part might be slightly overpowered but it's still okay.

Plus, I'm a Lilith fan, too.

So well... what should I give you for that...

Let's say 8.5/10 because of the slightly overpowered second part of the effect.

@ Grayall. Yes, this card is a great way to destroy decks that base their strategies around multiple copies of the same card, but keep in mind that it's a two-tribute.

Any competitive Chimeratech OTK (eg. Crab Helmet's build, in the Your Deck section) would likely go of before this could hit the field. Now, the problem is, though I created this card as a way to screw Dark Armed Dragon Return over, by either eliminating the Draw cards, or DAD itself, the chances of this card being on the field before my opponent goes off are fairly low.

That's why I didn't mind making the effect so powerful, though I am considering a revise of this card that could get it to the field on time.

@ Raven. Yeah, Lilith is fun.

Image: 4/10 isn't great; too realistic and unYu-Gi-Oh like.

Effect: 8/10 seems nice, I'm too sure about your wording of the effect though.

OCG/Grammar: 9/10 almost perfect, but, as stated, I'm not sure you've worded it correctly.

Name: 9/10 pretty unique, suites the card image. ;)

Uniqueness: 8/10 the card is pretty unique overall, if you improved on the image, the rating would be higher.

Overall: 38/50 Well done; good job. The overall rating is well over average, if you improved on the quality of the card image a little, the rating would be even higher.

emmm dark one you used a pic from www.starcraft.org... thats kerrigan if im still up to speed on that dam forum... its still good 9/10

(i love you starcraft)

Yeah, I cropped one of Blizzard's Wallpapers. I don't know if it's on SC.org though. Are you a member of SC.org/Warboards.org? I'm Mr.Bad there.

So I'm getting the impression that you guys like the card, but find the picture to be sub-par? I'll see if I can find a better one.

Ok, firstly, I don't really consider the Queen of Blades to be ugly. She's just not...human. To be specific, she was a telepath that was infested by the Zerg. (I got the picture from Starcraft)

And Lilith was supposed to be Adam's first wife, or some such. She was later cast down into Hell for one reason or another. Yes, Lilith is a demon. Now, She is also associated with Vampires, but who says Vampires aren't demons? After all, Dracula made a pact with the Devil. I might consider him to be demonic.

No, that is the Judeo-Christian view. She was a goddess from Sumer. Lilith was the goddess of Heaven, Hell, and Earth. Vampires were like her version of angels. They were beautiful and powerful. Her fist name was Ninhursag or Bellit Illi. They Judeo-Christian portrayed her as this to bastardize the Sumerian goddess. That was just stolen info which was common back then. Try doing some research before portraying a god. 0000000.jpg This is the Burney Relief a true image of the goddess. Here is a link to it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burney_relief

Dracula has nothing to do with her. He was a Christian who made a deal with the devil in the novel. He was based off of Vlad the Impaler and a little Elizabeth Bathory.

Not demon Goddess. The first vampires where in Sumer not Transylvania.

Yeah I'm using the Judeo-Christian view. Guess what, Christianity has stolen more than just Lilith. The Pentagram, Christmas trees, etc. were all taken from the local religions. Yet Christianity is the dominant religion of the world. When you talk about Lilith, you talk about the Devil, etc.

And Dracula is a vampire. I know who Vlad the Impaler is.

@ kizzi, do you have any ideas as to how I could make this card both better able to combat DAD and more balanced in general?

I've study multiple religions for years so I know all about the theft of myths. I never said Dracula was not a vampire, but he was not the first. Christianity's position as the dominant religion does not make true to the origins of Lilith. When educated people talk about Lilith they talk about Sumer, the Burney relief, and vampires origins. Only people who have knowledge only of the Bible think of the devil which is a big problem in today's society.

By the way Christianity is only the dominant religion in the west not the world. Go to India, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Egypt, Sudan, and the list goes on and on.

Last I checked, this was the West. And I do believe that Christianity is still the largest religion in the world.

And why must we not refer to one Lilith myth simply because another came before it?

Remove the second effect completely, it screws over SS, DAD, DDT, Gadgets, everything else. Make the first effect so it kills DAD in the process, and maybe recoil blasts? Add some sort of effect related to Graveyard control in your opponent's graveyard (eg, adding / removing cards).

Edit: Maybe an effect that let's her only need 1 tribute when your opponent has DARKs, and only DARKs in their Graveyard?

We use the first because it is the original. The Sumerians created her legends and they should be respected not demonized to fit the popular religion. She was insulted and that fraudulent myth is slander thus should not be used. You wouldn't want some new cult to take whatever god (if any) you choose to worship and turn it into a demon lord. That would be wrong and just because few people worship her today does not give them the right to slander her name.
