I'd like some combination of WATER or DARK + Thunder. (alternatively, a "hybrid" monster that has multiple types)

I like unusual mechanics (Revealing, Senet Switch, Serpentine Princess, etc.)

I like Synchros/XYZs, but I really don't mind a deck without an Extra Deck. Main Deck boss monster though.

Here, Tink. Let me brainwash you suggest to you something I would like to see. Edgelord.

if not for its meme context its actually a good name

a rather small-sized Archetype of DARK Warrior and Psychic Monster which despite their low count of cards you can and recommended to play them is pure as possible due to their high risk nature... you see whenever one of these guys is Summoned or flipped face-up they have mandatory effect that trigger when your current LP is higher than 100...which then proceed by forced you to pay LP until you have only 100 left along with incredibly powerful effect that get better the more you pay for that effect. but the most dangerous part of the archetype is how powerful the control plays of the Archetype Xyz.

but obvious weakness of the deck is when your opponent manage to lower you field  presence, your opponent will blow you away like a birthday candle...that and also the fact this archetype have the rather same or delayed version of Burning Abyss Xenophobic self-removal

Last time I checked, no. (Although I don't believe that there is a rule that bars non-members from doing the Archetype prompts; just using the tag)

Oh right, and it's probably not the best, but here's what I did for Dova. Seriously, I couldn't find anything definitive for him (answering Dova on every field of the member form didn't help), so I ended up making glorified Rank 9 stuff for him.

https://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/359879-agm-gift-making-rank-9-satellites-for-dova/

(I have it stored in the mod forum for now, but yeah, once I move it over, that's what Dova's getting.)

-----

Now where the heck is he? (Whoever Dova's responsible for in terms of Secret Santa is going to be disappointed in lack of gifts, and he certainly missed his chance for the Postseason.)

And I landed up having to make stuff for him (Dova); that is, now I hope he actually sees it before the usual stuff pushes it down the page and onto page 2.

But yeah, Merry Christmas guys (* insert thing about my late timezone *).

----

If I knew Dova would be gone for this long, I would've loved to have let Catman take his place, but partly me not realizing that some of the participants never logged on for weeks and late replying on both ends. (Might as well go make a card based on my own theme for round 1 of Postseason; maybe I'll add it to the AGM generics pool [or do you guys want the actual Flyer deck?])

Well, I already critiqued the one for Secret Santa (least for the stuff you were responsible for making for me). But yeah, guess it'd be nice for the rest of us in here to know that you made something for them.

It's too bad Dova isn't here to see the stuff I made for him; seriously, I couldn't pinpoint something he consistently wanted so I just made him Machine stuff to go with a previous Rank 9 attempt (but probably ended up as post-legacy V / Dyson Sphere support).

So, each month of 2017, I'm going to be incentivizing actually trying to build Decks of various things I've created.

So, each month, I'll announce a theme that needs to be followed- a specific boss monster you need to turbo to, an engine you need to use, an archetype you need to base the Deck around, or just a general theme, like low-Level beatdown or Unions. You're allowed to use any AGM-approved cards to accomplish the monthly goal, and I'll do my best to suggest cards that will help. The winner each month will get 1000 of my own Points- I don't need them, I have a personal member title now!

So, the first monthly competition of 2017 is an easy one:

Reptile-Type Xyz spam.

Suggested cards:

The "Fungal Serpent" archetype- it focuses on R4, but with Asp it is very easy to field R8 if you go for a mostly pure build. Plus, it lets you search out any EARTH and/or Reptile-Type monster with their signature statline, a combined ATK and DEF of 2900.

The "Sorcery Hydra" archetype- given that their gimmick is that they SS themselves when added to your hand, they are very good at fielding monsters if you can get your search power churning, so basically unparalleled R4. They can search any monster with their atypical 1000/0 stat line- giving you access to a bunch of random monsters that you can tech in for laughs, like "Nighty-Night Mighty Knight", which gives you access to "Lizargos Paladin" for a quick Fusion beater.

The "Vigilizard" archetype- They're all Level 4 in the Main Deck with a Level 6 exception, and their Fusions give you access to Level 7 and 8 for more possible R7/8. Plus, EARTH Reptile, and they have what amounts to an Advanced Heraldry Art for a quick Xyz Summon.

"Archfiend Jormungandr, the Ultimate Serpent"- if you're interested in a mixed R4/R8 build, this guy is your best friend because it's relatively easy to Summon and it can help speed things along by searching more snakes. Plus, that name alone is awesome.

"Vennominon, the King of Poisonous Snakes"- Good beater, good backup plan, it's searchable, and it's R8 fuel.

"Spellbound Gorgon"- it has Fungal Serpent stats, it's EARTH, and it gets the benefit of the "Spellbound" engine.

"Chaoserpent"- LIGHT, Fungal Serpent stats, it searches a DARK Reptile if it goes to the Graveyard, it gives draw power if it's banished. No reason not to use it.

"Lizargos"- it has Sorcery Hydra stats, and with help from "Asp of the Fungal Serpents" you can actually run R7 of all things.

"Venom Trap Hole"- it's a Bottomless that requires that you Foolish a Reptile. It can also trigger on a Flip Summon, to catch FLIP trolls in the act. Good all around if you have snakes to spare.

"Spellbound Gorgon"- it has Fungal Serpent stats, it's FIRE if you want to use any of the FIRE support we have, and it gets the benefit of the "Spellbound" engine.

"Chaoserpent"- LIGHT, Fungal Serpent stats, it searches a DARK Reptile if it goes to the Graveyard, it gives draw power if it's banished. No reason not to use it.

Do we have to use AGM archetypes to do this, or could we build a new archetype from scratch to make most of these?

Each of these challenges is going to be entirely possible with existing AGM-approved cards, and I'd rather you make as few new cards as possible (all of the suggestions are cards in one of the threads linked in the OP), because I'd like to think we've designed enough things to make each Deck function.

However, if you honestly need one or more things to function, you do have the entire month to create new generics, make archetype support for the archetypes that need it, or add in a new archetype that can take advantage of existing loopholes in support (eg. floaters to take advantage of the sheer volume of grave-dumping Reptiles have access to at current, or something to abuse the best card of the first AGM Community archetype, "Lure of the Fungal Serpents").

[spoiler= Lure of the FS]

Lure of the Fungal Serpents

Normal Spell

Add 1 "Fungal Serpents" monster from your Deck to your hand. If you control a face-up "Fungal Serpents" Xyz monster when this card is activated, you can add 1 additional "Fungal Serpents" card from your Deck to your hand. You can banish this card from your Graveyard: Add 1 EARTH Reptile-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate each effect of "Lure of the Fungal Serpents" once per turn.

Rules for Challenge #1:

A majority of your Main Deck Monsters must be Reptiles (eg, if you run 20 monsters, at least 11 of them must be Reptile-Type).

At least a third of your Deck (14+ cards in a 40-card Deck) must be monsters, otherwise you're cheating the challenge

Your ED must be full, and mostly Xyz (15-card ED, and 8 or more of those have to be Xyz)

Hey guys, I could use a hand here. I'm almost done the BlasterCubes, but there's a problem:

FIRE: This monster gains 800 ATK.
WATER: This monster cannot be the target of your opponent's card effects.
EARTH: This monster cannot be destroyed by battle.
WIND: Your opponent cannot activate Trap Cards during the Battle Phase.
LIGHT: ???
DARK: ???

What effects do I grant for LIGHT and DARK?
