Flash Flyer - Sakura
Probably going to be a vote, but it's up to Draco to decide what we do for this month.
Draconus297
I said that we were voting. I did say that, right?
The Nyx Avatar
In that case, I vote for singles.

Speaking of approval, I asked regarding Spiritrinkets, Vigilizards, and GameChild a while back and no one confirmed. Anyway, I personally vote Secret Santa. I like making archetypes, and it gives me a way to get one present done in like ten minutes instead of researching everyone's preferences again. Dova
I vote for that archetype ,and for secret Santa. I've also always enjoyed making archetypes. I also support Vigilizards and Spirittrinkets, but am unsure regarding Gamechild.
ChampionZero
I concur with Dova and Draco on both accounts.

Flash Flyer - Sakura
Secret Santa singles sounds fine; just design 1 card for someone and be done with it. I'm saying singles because of time constraints; you may not have time to do more. (If you want to make more, fine, but shouldn't be required)
Draconus297
This time constraint issue keeps being brought up, but honestly that just makes me think that you don't understand what I'm saying. Many cards for one person, or one card each for many people. If we do AGM Secret Santa, you're only obligated to make cards for the person you get (randomly) assigned. Essentially, two different kinds of obligation- either the obligation to be fair to everyone, or the obligation to really understand one person. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Fine with designing stuff for only one member though; easier to remember than trying to recall what the active members in here like. ----Come to think of it, generics have been on pause for a while and I haven't gotten a new Archetype to do. Will likely work on the latter after finals.
The Nyx Avatar
I'm fine with making one card for each member. I have made some before for inactive members, like GarlandChaos and Talim Rave.
Draconus297
Well, so far it's 3/2 on archetypes/series v. singles. I'll give anyone else with 2 cents to drop until tomorrow evening to cast their vote, otherwise I'll ask someone outside the general AGM to shuffle our names for us for Secret Santa purposes. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Only ones who haven't said anything are Catman, Tojin and I forgot who else is active in here. Not counting Talim because she's been inactive in here for months. Speaking of Catman, he wanted to do a CC test, but I haven't gotten an analysis of the test cards from him. ChampionZero
Well, I suppose its many cards for one person, then?
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Well, I know who I have to make cards for, but probably a small set or something. You guys should've gotten a PM about whom you're getting. Oh right, and apparently Garland's back; whether or not he posts more in here remains to be seen. ChampionZero
How many should we make exactly? Is there a reasonable minimum?
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Well, I did vote for just doing a single card for one member; easier on all of us (make standalone, as opposed to a set that requires things to work together). But 3-4 should be fine.
Draconus297
I balanced it out- we were making ~4 cards regardless, remember?
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Fair enough then. Archetype thread's getting a bit inactive right now (will get on with a theme after Friday). To be fair, I shouldn't even be on right now, considering finals.
Draconus297
Here's a quick reminder: You don't technically have to make an archetype. If your Secret Santa recipient already has an AGMGift, you can expand that archetype. You can do 4 cards that work similarly to a combo they like to play with IRL. You could just add support to one of the archetypes they had fun designing. It's not as impossible a hurdle as it first appears.

However, my question is: Do we make a brand new archetype from scratch or pull up a prompt from the Archetype Game?
Draconus297
You're free to do anything you think your recipient will like. If you want to use a prompt, that's fine- if not, no big deal. As an AGMGift, essentially the prompt is "something that X likes".

Also, when do we post them?
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Should be Christmas Day at the latest; using the general CC version from last year as a model. As a reminder to all of you, if the gifts are going in Advanced, you will need the required explanation/design intent. (You guys shouldn't have problems, right?) ----(Luckily my net works now, otherwise I would've had to withdraw or I'd have to rush the gifts when I got it back [if it weren't fixed])
