Next archetype I'm thinking of doing: La Rosa De Negra

 

Archetype of EARTH Fiend-Type monsters. They focus primarily on banishing and/or triggering their effects in response to being banished (ALL the cards; not just the monsters). Their Extra Deck monsters are Xyz Monsters, but they only have 1 Rank 4 Xyz Monster (and it is the least impressive). Their Spell/Trap Cards (except the one that adds) also activate their effects by banishing "La Rosa De Negra" cards.

It was a Soul Eater fanfic idea I had. Basically, the Black Rose were going to be a legion of anarchists to the same degree as Millenium.

Just going to mention that Xerneas/Yveltal's Pendulum Zone effect [the one where it becomes a Scale after it gets blown up] triggers ONLY in the monster zone; I seem to have forgotten to mention that part (lest it cause a bunch of stupid loops). 

 

Anyway, I'll look at a new project in the coming days.

What are your guys favorite AGM archetypes that you have made?

Personally speaking, not counting the stuff I've done on my own time that is now in the AGM, it would come down to Fungal Serpents, Yuki Onna, and Gold-Eyes. Even then, Fungals are slow, Yuki Onna are healburn, and Gold-Eyes is massively reactive rather than proactive.

 

Steel Dragons are basically OTK.dek, which has a million and one variants already. Penumbral Fair is trolling given form, which I personally don't do unless it builds up to something. Sorcery Hydras are R4 spam, which, again, has a million and one variants. Dandao is fun as hell, but I can't shake the feeling I messed up somewhere. Space Cruisers are six monsters and a little Spell support. Honestly, I think I failed with all the gifts, because no one really seemed all too thrilled about how they turned out. Amazoni came out as a version of Shaddolls that like battle rather than cutting off your opponent's options. It just . . . doesn't feel like I managed to do much, despite being the founder and somewhat leader of the AGM.

 

EDIT: And Inner Demons (Gemini) and Cosmoraptors/Cosmoriders (Warrior/Dinosaur team-up) were apparently so bad I forgot they existed at all.

(This is my Wikipedia for stuff; you guys are free to post AGM stuff there too if you want. Just make sure you mark things so we know who made what.)

 

Phoenix Guardian / Electric Field are essentially based on 'tellarknights / Majespecters to an extent; former works well with Fire Kings and latter gives Thunder decks some new toys (and yeah, mild Rank 4 / Level 8 spam)

 

Fantasy Wyverns are cool though; probably the fastest one I made in terms of playstyle (of course, that's probably the only one that I had to tone down a bit). But hey, at least Yang Zings aren't the only full-fledged Wyrm deck. (I still need pictures for these guys though)

 

Show Jumpers are weird, especially since I literally based them on the actual sport in equestrianism. At the moment, they really are incomplete.

I liked the Section XIII archetype, and Penumbral Fair was time consuming, but it's one of my favorites.

Definitely my Zeirens and Moltanics. I also enjoyed making War Hawks due to the Kozmo playstyle I gave them. Though, Moltanics are probably the best I've ever done.

I was thinking about the format idea we had, and I wondered what it would be like using them in real life. So, I got an idea for the second best thing: An AGM YGO RP.

 

What would you guys think about that?

Well, I did say that I needed to get my tail back into RP one of these days, but the success of this RP will depend on us actually being active.

I'd definitely be in. However, you'd have to restrain me from making like six characters, because I would try. Believe you me, I would.

 

Also, a protagonist would probably use D-Order. All-female archetype, yeah, but noble Warrior-Type monsters based on different Dragon-Type monsters, are you kidding me? Plus, they're an utterly huge archetype. Most RPs would never get around to showing most of them.

I'll just bounce off ideas for the RP off you guys. Something I thought of was there being alignments for characters, and different AGM archetypes being under these different alignments. If you made a character and chose an alignment, you had to choose a deck under that alignment. Also, you got make an ace card under that archetype for your character to use.

Having looked over stuff again, Akkedis/Inner Demons/Deep Sleep (AIDDS) actually works better than I gave them credit for. It would take some luck to draw the right stuff, but the combo of three Gemini Decks (one based on Rituals, one based on Fusion, and one based on beatsticks) is far more interesting than one would expect.

I would advise against Convulsion of Nature, if only due to the effect of "Numerix-052: Luck Queen". As long as you keep calling the top card of your Deck correctly, you can keep drawing and boosting her ATK. Specifically, doubling it each time (she has 100).

 

That's not going to end well. So, rather than an Infinite Lucky Draw combo, I suggest not adding CoN.

I'll throw my vote in for the Goyo / Book series. 

 

Definite no on Convulsion due to its mechanics in general being a pain in the ass to do on DP (and yes, due to how Luck Queen works [that thing is begging to abuse CoN]).

Also, wow. Book of Life and Moon get translated, but then we have Book of Taiyou . . . which, as any diehard 5Ds fan will tell you, means "Sun".

KoA translation decisions, am I right?

 

Also, I'd really like someone to maybe come up with an AGM Deck profile for the D-Order archetype. I really like how they turned out, and they've got a lot of options, but I'm not sure which options are ideal.
