2 Level 9 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; until your next Main Phase, the Pendulum Scale of cards in your opponent's Pendulum Zone(s) becomes 4. This card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. If this card would destroy an opponent's monster by battle, before the end of the damage step, you may attach that monster as an XYZ material to this card.

I figured that Yugioh needed something like this, but I'm worried that stopping your opponent's pendulum summons cold for two turns is a bit much.

OCG Fixes:

Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; until your next Main Phase, the Pendulum Scale of cards in your opponent's Pendulum Zone(s) becomes 4.

 

(Tbh I'm guessing the last part of the effect, a better OCG person probably has a better solution)

 

Remember, cards in Pendulum Zones aren't monsters, they're spells, because Konami.

 

I'm not too fond of the card. Yes, it kills pends, but it has two big restrictions:

A) It can only stop Pends. That's all it can do. Literally nothing else.

B) Rank 9. I know that was the point, but only a few decks can Rank 9 even in the AGM. It would be a definite side in Rank9.dek, but not a main card in your Extra Deck, unless of course you have absolutely nothing to put there.

 

I don't really know if the idea can actually be improved upon, considering how focused it is. Sorry to be so critical, but I just don't see this being used.

Add "Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects"? As most of you don't seem to mind those effects. At least when compared to non-targeting removal. Plus, it could have this card last longer, warranting its set-up.

Beta Executor itself, the Level 9 Space Cruiser, has a better effect.

 

Still, considering so many of the potentially-powerful Decks will use Pendulums (Penumbral Fair is basically TrollPals, Des-Draco is absurdly fast, Deep Sleep/Akkedis/Inner Demons looks really solid for 3 Gemini archetypes put together, Gold-Eyes just kills any Deck that uses R4 or lower), it'll be put on sidebar.

 

Sakura, can Space Cruisers (WIND Machines) make your Dragon?

@jackegull: I suppose you can; Draco needed a Vanilla that could run over First Dame earlier and that's how you have Kitsunari (and Kyarahime) in this; even though they aren't AGM prompts.

If heavy vanillas were needed, I believe Claybornes fill that niche quite nicely.

The problem was that First Dame is functionally immortal in a pure D-Order (plus Poly to Summon her, of course) Deck, due to being immune to monster effects in an archetype that has ways of both recycling Poly and getting her out of the Banished Zone if she's hit by Bottomless . . . In fact, the only surefire way to kill her is to run her over with a Normal monster with 2700 or more ATK to beat it (or 2000+ ATK, if you can switch it to DEF with a Spell or Trap).

That's... Precisely the entirety of Clayborne's shtick (or were you not responding to me?)

 

In any case, I'm looking for a new project to do. Anyone got any suggestions?

I was just explaining why I had been panicking over Vanillas earlier- I had accidentally created a boss that the AGM couldn't reliably stop. Now we have a few, so all is well.

 

Try "Jurgio", and pick from monsters available in the AGM. I want to see something cool.

 

Prompt:

Jurgio

"Baby" versions of popular monsters, (think an inverse of Malefics, and archetypes along those lines). These monsters have exactly 1/10 the stats of their regular counterparts (ie, "Jurgio Dark Magician" is 250/210), are all Level 1, and can be sent from the field to the Graveyard to Special Summon the real deal from your hand or Extra Deck (in the case of Fusion or Synchro Jurgio monsters, this does in fact count as Fusion/Synchro Summon, so they can recur). Funnily enough, they also have "baby" versions of their big counterpart's effects, like a Jurgio CWSD that has its effect trigger against Level 4 or lower monsters, instead.

Do we still need any more generic Rank 9 and 10 options? If yes, we can probably add in a few of them otherwise.
