[907] Odd-Eyes Gravity Dragon and Odd-Eyes Advent

Recommended Posts

Both decks definitely have huge search power and float presence, and both Rituals have creative but not too important effects that can overwhelm the opponent in some degree by using an unorthodox mechanic. Gravity has Trunade + REFD, and Malacoda has a ATK-decreasing ability.

Guys, really. The deck runs Performapal Skullcrobat Joker who can find the monster part, and Arc in the Sky which can find the Spell part. Getting those 2 into hand is an incredibly easy task, and Gravity is a Giant Trunade, a card that got banned for pushing OTKs, that can't be answered, in an incredibly fast deck with potential OTKs.

Like please. This card is ridiculously dumb.

True.

I'm still going to hold judgment until testing in some form can be done, though. Some things are amazing on paper and suck in practice, or vice-versa. I do think this has a bigger chance than most Rituals. Other than Gishki and Nekroz, of course.

It's still Arc-FIVE. And the anime isn't even 1/3 in, give it time. And seeing as rituals DID appear in anime (Mieru played the Princesses at least) means they will get some exposition sooner or later. We're in a Synchro Dimension for now, so yeah.

Uh...what? How couldn't you be sure what Arc-FIVE refers to? There are 5 monster mechanics. We saw 4 out of 5 and we're seen Pendulum Xyz as well so far. I just don't see how it wasn't obvious. Being thrown so many evidence in face doesn't need a flat-out confirmation, but I guess it is one finally for people who had doubts.

I always just assumed Arc-V meant it was the fifth series.

That, and the letter 'V' is supposed to represent the swinging of a pendulum.

Also, the monster is pretty much meant to push for OTKs.  The fact that the Ritual Spell Card can also act as a revival card for Gravity Dragon also makes it more amusing.

I COME BACK FROM TESTING!

This duo... isn't bad. However, it's a tad unwieldy, as you have to give up searches to amass the pieces and risk dead draws. Running them in a 1-2 Ratio.

HOWEVER, I believe this will be stronger in the OCG. Why? Lavalval Chain still exists.

on the bright side, unless i missed something, this card can't be used with the djinns.

only good djinn is banned, though, and this isn't half as good as advent

nice design to make it have a generic ritual spell AND a themed one, like OEVD had in OEF, though.

completely forgot that was a card.

also, the djinns that prevent targeting and give trap immunity seem somewhat decent. although gravity is kind of a walking trunade, so i guess the trap immunity one would never matter to it.
