Chaos Rose

Okay, so this is the first time I've tried to make a relevant card or a card with an effect that could stand up to todays Meta, I'd love some constructive criticism if possible?

My OCG skills aren't that great, but this is how I would have wrote the card's effect (sans the light and dark bit - I have no clue how to write that properly xD):

 

"...When this card is Summoned: You can send 1 LIGHT monster (except "Chaos Rose") from your Deck to the Graveyard. When this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can send 1 DARK monster (except "Chaos Rose") from your Deck to the Graveyard. When this card is targeted for an attack by an opponent's monster: You can send this card to the Graveyard; negate the attack, and if you do, end the Battle Phase."

 

Don't take my word for it though, as I said, since my OCG editing isn't the best.

 

I think this could be a really good card, for things like Twilight, etc. A free Wulf on summoning this thing is good, plus it can be used to get an easy BLS. It seems quite well done, but there's something telling me that it needs a balancing effect on it. I can't quite tell what though.

Actually the OCG you proposed is legit in my oppinion. The first eff. i think has no cost, just trigger and effect, so a semicolon, but nevertheless it's what it might look like.

+ "(This card is also treated as DARK.)"

 

As Yu-gi-oh dude mentioned, the card might have some balance issues, since the effects can spawn unlimited number of times each in a single turn.

 

You can try and give it 

 

Limited activations ("You can activate each effect of "Chaos Rose" only once per turn")

or something like

Specific conditions ("When this card is sent from the field or your hand to the Graveyard") - Foolish Burial and this card make an instant BLS, maybe this was your intention, i don't know :)

 

Also, the "sent to the Graveyard" effect will miss the timing if you use the attack negation one. You can dodge that by starting with "If this card is sent..."

Okay guys thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate the comments! My intention with this card was to certainly bump up the viability of Chaos Decks and Chaos cards, The instant BLS may seem a little overpowered but BLS is not easy to search in most decks and it kind of makes it a more viable option in some decks. I think it also totally replaces 'Shine knight' for the most part.

 

How about?

This card is also treated as DARK. You can only use each effect of "Chaos Rose" once per turn. When this card is Summoned: You can send 1 LIGHT monster (except "Chaos Rose") from your Deck to the Graveyard. When this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can send 1 DARK monster (except "Chaos Rose") from your Deck to the Graveyard. When this card is targeted for an attack by an opponent's monster: You can send this card to the Graveyard; negate the attack, and if you do, end the Battle Phase.

 

 

I think this card could be abused in  the right hand and maybe a really good combo could be found but 'Chaos' cards for the most part aren't that plentiful, most don't even come close to the power of BLS and they take Deck space. Anyway I really had fun making this card and would love more feed back.
