Thomas★Zero
VS Mirror Force - When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls. Storming Mirror Force - When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Return all face-up Attack Position monsters your opponent controls to the hand. So I was keen on the look of Storming Mirror Force but Giga things normal Mirror Force is better so I decided to make this thread to see what everybody's thoughts are on these are. The Warden
I prefer Storming, honestly. The ability to screw over the El Shaddolls is highly valued, and while it does reload certain Xyz and Synchros back into your opponent's Extra, they were probably going to kick your face in so that's preferable really. It also ignores things that can't be destroyed, which is of course incredibly useful. It can also put monsters your opponent doesn't want in their hand into their hands, so, that's a plus. MF's destruction is handy, but it enables a metric crap tonne of floaters, and puts your opponent's monsters into the Graveyard, literally the most accessible part of the field. It does have the ability to become Mirror Force Dragon though, which is a tick in its favour. Either way, Imma side with Storming.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Here is the thing: Nekroz are better than Shaddoll, and Storming doesn't do sheet against them.
The Warden
To be fair, like Fiendish Chain vs Breakthrough Skill this is more of a preference thing than a utility thing. Both of them would be completely moot against Nekroz since Trishula would probably just end up banishing either MFs anyways, or they will Exciton it. These cards are pretty fragile to be honest, and would both end up being more or less useless on the Kroz. I just prefer Storming as it has a higher capacity for screwing over your opponent than MF does.

Flash Flyer - Sakura
It depends on what you're using them against. Indeed, Mirror Force is good against Nekroz; pop them and they don't have many ways of revival; bar Illusion or something.Storming bounces them, so they can just banish one of their Rituals, add another one + proceed to summon again + re-trigger Trish. Storming is nice for getting rid of Extra Deck monsters, though opponent can SS them at a later time if they can recur resources again. It can also deal with Majespecters to an extent, since Mirror won't do much against them (though they can just P-Summon themselves again if you don't kill their Scales). ----For the most part, Mirror Force is probably the better of the two, although yeah floaters do exist. (GigaDrillBreaker)
How does Storming help against Majespecters? They can pendulum summon from hand just as well as extra.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
The most you can do is just bounce them when they attack, but they'll just SS themselves anyway, so all it does is prevent you from taking damage one time.(I think I made a mention to that fact.) CLG Klavier
But...regular Mirror is better, no questions asked. Against Pendulum decks, both do technically the same, but regular Mirror has the edge that if you break one of their scales, they can't even NS their things anymore. Nekroz just re-discard and re-search themselves and whatever. Against Shaddolls and BA, sure, Storming is better. But regular is also better vs any rogue decks out there. Ghostricks, Yosenju, blah blah, you name it. Storming is better in literally 2 matchups only.

Majespecters can't be destroyed by card effects. Therefore, Mirror Force cannot block them.

CLG Klavier
Okay, so add Majespecters to the list. If you hate them so much, be my guest and run Storming.

They are an actually good deck that are extremely annoyin to deal with, and Mirror Force cannot do that.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
My mistake, that effect slipped my mind. But is SMF good enough to warrant running against them at all?

The Warden
As I said before, these two really seem more like a preference thing than a utility thing. Their impact on other decks are completely different in outcome, and they're better used on some decks than others. So really, it's by your own choice whether you want to counter one particular deck type, or the other. Some people prefer OG Mirror Force, some people like Storming. I find Storming to be more of a lifesaver than MF in my own opinion. And it's not as if either will be any use against Penndulums unless you blow their scales, which MF at least has the advantage in dumping them into the extra. goodfusion
I use regular Mirror Force... because that's what I'm used to using.
宇佐見 蓮子@C94
Is running both, one in side, not an option? I don't know how loaded the side deck is nowadays, tbh. Though then again, Mirror Force is not exactly a maindeck worthy trap most of the time.

Blake
I vote Blazing Mirror Force.generally worse than OG because the burn can kill you OG MF is the superior one, at least for now. It does more in the Nekroz matchup, isn't dreadful against Dolls, seeing how they still don't connect their attacks, better against Qli, and there isn't enough in the metagame to warrant bouncing. I mean, even decks that aren't best decksm what does bouncing a Yosenju or Volcanic Rocket/Firestorm Guards do to hrlp you? Nada.
ihop
funking Negate Attack is better than Storming against Majespecter. And Mirror Force is amazing against Nekroz because they only have 6 summons. I'd always play regular if at all unless we get another extra deck based format.
