Catman25
I'd say working with smaller canvases is a bit easier, but you may feel differently. But basically, try experimenting with more types of effects, you have a little smudge thing going on here, but not much else. Some better blending would really help as well I think, your guy has a lot of hard edges. You can always use blurring and erasing to sorta smooth things over. I.e. the right shoulder (his left) you could probably erase a little to blend it more with the white light.

The way I do it is I paste the render as a layer, work from there, and then resize it to a reasonable size, but I guess bigger canvas tend to make it more difficult to mess with effects and all. I do see the hard edge in the right shoulder, which I erased and plan to repost with the corrections. [EDIT] Also, just realized this is Rain, not Gaiden. whoops
Tormented
I get no sense of depth on this and the wind(?) effect isn't implemented very well, colours are okay but there is next to no lighting. Like I said to Sakura, I recommend looking at some tutorials-try and replicate what they do and work from there. You've got potential.
