SOUL
I Watched a movie and it said "The Big Bang came first, hit another Meteor, and created all the planets, stars and God. Then God Created humans." It was weird.
Static
I always had this problem...I just couldn't believe in a "God"...not without proof...some sign of existence...i cannot beleive in something i cannot see or touch or feel...I don't have a clear thought of how any of this is possible...any of this existence...How does one appear out of thin air?...I just tend to ignore it...If there really was a god...it would show itself to me...if not then i cannot believe in something i will not ever see...I'll just live life happy...^_^ not worrying about this nonsense...or waste any of my life following something that doesn't exist... you can ignore it but You will eventuly start to wonder if its true every one will I wonder aswell however i just don't belive it simply cuz I't impossibe for so many bad things to happen and there be nothing good to brighten the lives of people like I said before if there if there is a god he's uncaring and lazy I think the bible was just a book somone wrote and people took it to far The only book that should be read like the bible is The Communist Manifesto. Its not the wondering that turns people into truth realizing atheists' date=' its... NP will understand after he accepts the laws of physics. If free will does not exist, how can a god punish you for doing wrong? It wouldn't even be human or god-like to do that. All of monotheism is based on the idea that free will exists, which is a lie. Imagine knowing your future, and then some deity is going to judge you based on what your life consisted of.... You'd be pretty pissed.... I know Free Will is not real, and I know god is not real, easy to understand and easier to accept. What's stopping you from living easy?[/quote'] you know I've thought about this but I think free will must be real or how can mankind do such cruel things Because god doesn't exist..... The universe is naturally chaotic, not naturally in order. Cruelty is human nature, and is dominant. PEOPLE TAKE MORE PLEASURE IN HARMING OTHERS THAN IN HELPING OTHERS. It is not a greater power. Should i have said Law of Attraction instead? its been awhilesince ive seen the movie, so sue me.I do try to put the Law of attraction into effect and sometimes it works, getting school cancelled next day. often its just guessing right at what a person will say next. Seeing as i go to a catholic school, they do try to push the idea that God exists and is the Alpha and Omega, the Almighty. Also, a part of me believes in Karma, universal balance. Do good things and good things will happen to you. I keep my bases covered and pray to God as well as try the Law of Attraction and doing good things. As to my previous post. Its to demonstrate that if God did create everything, he didnt make evil. As proven by Einstein, and who disagrees with him?
HORUS
"Either God wants to abolish evil and cannot,or he can but does not want to,or he cannot and does not want to,or lastly he can and wants to. If he wants to remove evil, and cannot,he is not omnipotent; If he can, but does not want to,he is not benevolent; If he neither can nor wants to,he is neither omnipotent nor benevolent; But if God can abolish evil and wants to,how does evil exist?"- A genius long dead

Static
GOod and bad are opinions. They cannot be universal. Learn to understand other cultures. In Papa New Guinea, eating a man who fell in battle is not "wrong", so they wouldn't believe that they got bad karma for it, but I'm sure that if you killed someone on a battle field, you would find it wrong. Basically, bad things happen to you when you think they will, and good things happen to you when you think they will, WHICH IS INFLUENCED BY NOTHING MORE THAN THE BELIEF IN KARMA. BELIEVING IN KARMA MAKES IT REAL. I know no belief in karma, and thus will not be punished for my actions unless another being wishes to pass judgment. Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
I bow to no leader. Even if Aten were (impossibly) omnipotent, instead of worshipping Him, I would take it upon myself to ursurp Him. Nah, the only thing the Deities can do is make sure that no one decides to screw the laws of science. If there is an omnipotent god that is cruel enough to create a world, destroy it, save it a few times, and then leave it to rot, as the storybook tells us, then we should take leaves out of some authors' books and rebel against Him. *cough*HisDarkMaterials*cough*I,Robot*cough* If Aten exists, He only keeps sentience in line through something very similar to the Tarkin Doctrine: rule by fear. I will never worship anyone. Individual power is supreme and infinite. Every sentient being is its own god. If you're too lazy or too scared to live your own life, monotheism is, in my view, one way out: follow someone else's rules instead of your own and get a reward for it. I would like to reference the Bible's take on life: it clearly promotes obedience and servitude, and condemns independence and freedom *cough*BookofJob*cough* No matter how powerful Aten is, I will never worship Him. That is my answer.
