An entity that is able to alter the universe and is able to judge everything in it' date=' eliminating anything it sees fit and being able to alter the course of an event for purposes such as fun/ redemption/ worth and things similar there of.[/i']

thats my definition anyway....

God as a MORAL, HUMAN-LIKE, JUDGING, BEING, does not exist, because it is impossible that the universe is conscious. Human beings are conscious, and we are just monkeys.

God as the embodiment of all life, all things, all energy in our universe, is infact an existing force, but it is not A deitic god. It is merely the sum of all energy in the infinite void that is space.

Space, as we know it, is the absence of energy (matter is a form of energy). For all we know, if there is no energy in that space that we can detect, the space has no limit (because we can detect no end to it), and is merely a 3D plane. If this is true, then technically, the universe was never created.

The big bang cycles starts with all of the condensed energy that exists in our universe expanding from its smallest possible compression, and expands into this endless plane until gravity slows it down enough that it starts to pull itself back together and eventually compresses until it will create another "big bang". It has been doing this forever, and will never cease to.

How is it possible for it to not have a beginning?

Perception. It is nearly impossible for the human mind to understand that something does not have a beginning.

How is this relevant?

Well, it proves that all the monotheist religions except Judaism are founded on complete fallacy. Judaism never states directly that god is a moralistic being, rather, it tells a story that is meant to be taken figuratively. So yeah, Jews are more correct than Christians or Muslims. TAKE THAT PALESTINE!

So WHAT ACTUALLY MATTERS?

Human Nature determines everything in our lives. We perceive through our own, human eyes, human ears, and thoughts. What we think matters is what matters to us, and nothing more.

So does that mean I choose to do what I want?

No, because free will does not exist. As long as time exists, the things that happen prior to other events will influence the events after almost definitely. Of course, you will read this, and tell yourself you can make yourself do something, well, if your gonna do that, please tell yourself your going to make the best out of everything, not take stuff to seriously, and just, you know, take some time to enjoy being alive, because thats the best part of living, right?

I would be more than happy to answer any questions.

straightforward logic -.-" if you wanted that, i would have obliged... but i was thinking more of a definition of an Entity that could call itself "god"....

I think its fairly obvious such a thing does not exist. It cannot.

Let me ask you this then static: If such an Entity were to exist, do you think that it could call itself as "God" simply because it has Physical Prowess and innate abilities that some other Beings lack? it doesnt have to have power, or absolute dominion over something... just a name... and thats what i was trying to express, more or less...

It could. It would, because the "God" would be in Man's image, and clearly if it was in man's likeness it would be flawed like man. Intelligence at its greatest is unethical, to know that taking advantage of others will cause you to prosper. If it thought, it would think this, and it would probably be exactly like Hitler, except without the bias towards any specific denomination of people (because if you have absolute intelligence, you know that it doesn't matter if people believe in you if you ACTUALLY exist)

I always had this problem...I just couldn't believe in a "God"...not without proof...some sign of existence...i cannot beleive in something i cannot see or touch or feel...I don't have a clear thought of how any of this is possible...any of this existence...How does one appear out of thin air?...I just tend to ignore it...If there really was a god...it would show itself to me...if not then i cannot believe in something i will not ever see...I'll just live life happy...^_^ not worrying about this nonsense...or waste any of my life following something that doesn't exist...

Do I think there is a God? After recent events I did some soul searching and yes I do think there is one. Is he/she/it anything like what the religions follow. I doubt it.

And to be totally honest, I would rather live like there is and find out that their is not, than to live like there was not and find out that there is.

I can accept the first paragraph, but that second part.... Come on, you aren't an idiot, I know that, you can figure out what's real and what's not enough so you don't even have to consider the obviously false option.

The only book that should be read like the bible is The Communist Manifesto.

Its not the wondering that turns people into truth realizing atheists, its... NP will understand after he accepts the laws of physics. If free will does not exist, how can a god punish you for doing wrong? It wouldn't even be human or god-like to do that. All of monotheism is based on the idea that free will exists, which is a lie. Imagine knowing your future, and then some deity is going to judge you based on what your life consisted of.... You'd be pretty pissed....

I know Free Will is not real, and I know god is not real, easy to understand and easier to accept. What's stopping you from living easy?

at one time,i honestly didn't believe in God as my life was in horrible mess leading downhill 24/7.i also used to think that if there were truly a God who made the world, then there should be no evil at all.however, after becoming christian,i've seen the light & things are going better for me,no matter the tide of despair

I believe that there is a god. He is watching us, guiding us, and listening. He plans to fix all of the problems one at a time. For any of you who say no, I am not trying to convert you, but think.

" why do i exist? " . . . " what is my purpose? " . . . " how did we get this way? "

If you ask yourself these questions, you will see my point.

I do believe that there is a god. He is the SAME god as the one worshiped by the Muslims' Allah, and the same one as the Jews. All of those who are polytheistic, the King of Gods, or King of heavens, is your "god".

I wish to be heard and anylized.

I have no idea.

Because none of us know for sure' date=' and I doubt any of us ever will. I want to have faith in something but I just can't get into it unless I know for sure. Everything sounds like BS, some guy creating everything, some big bang creating everything, evolution, etc. And I don't really see how it'll effect my life if I don't decide to believe in something.

If we will never know, then that means the people who wrote the bible probably made it up.

seriously. How do they know god said "Let there be light"?

sure, that's stretching it a little, but how do they know the order in which he created stuff? they just made it up. There is no way they could know.
