.Rai Posted July 23, 2015 Report Share Posted July 23, 2015 So, the core of the Elves deck is: 4 Elvish Mystic 4 Gnarlroot Trapper 4 Dwynen's Elite 4 Elvish Visionary 4 Shaman of the Pack 4 Sylvan Messenger 4 Collected Company You've already got quite a lot of that anyway. Just a few copies of bits and pieces. Elvish Mystic will rotate out before the rest of the deck, but not for a little while. A full playset of them is crazy cheap anyway, and useful for some modern decks too. You're quite land-heavy too. Because of the other mana sources in the deck (Elvish Mystics once you pick them up, and maybe some copies of Leaf Gilder), you can run fewer lands. I'd say about 21. A decent mana base probably looks like: 4 Llanowar Wastes 3 Mana Confluence 1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth 9 Forest 4 Swamp Some of it's a bit more expensive than others. You can fill with Forests and Swamps at will. I'd personally get rid of the Lilianas in favour of Nissa, but if you run Liliana, go a bit more Swamp heavy. After that, you have quite a few flexible slots. Leaf Gilders, Obelisk of Urd, Reclamation Sage, Gilt-Leaf Winnower, Nissa. I'd usually always run 1 Reclamation Sage, and 3 Nissa. 3 Nissa might be a bit hard to get though. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Spinny Posted July 23, 2015 Author Report Share Posted July 23, 2015 I have 3 sylvan messenger already, 4th Gnarlroot is missing tho.I would kinda like to keep the two Dwynen in there, the +1/+1 to all other elves won me two games. I can take out liliana and put it into my black deck no problem. (Infinite obliteration can go in there aswell)I'll replace her with 2 Nissa when i get the chance. collected company looks kinda expensive right now :/ ( £14 on Magic Madhouse)so i'll probs have to compromise that. I also need to get 4th Shaman of the packI have like 6 Elvish visionary, so that's not a problem.I have 4 Thornbow archer aswell, if that would help. The deck runs a lot of ETB effect creatures and sabertooth can create a lot of value for them as well as protect your dudes. Plus its a good chord target.
