This is my Insect-Type deck for the Yugioh Gym Leader Challenge thing.

[spoiler=Deck List]3x Bee List Soldier

2x Beetron

1x Chainsaw Insect

1x Danipon

2x Doom Dozer

3x Howling Insect

2x Infernity Beetle

3x Needle Worm

2x Shield Worm

2x Warm Worm

3x Book of Eclipse

1x Book of Moon

2x Book of Taiyou

1x Double Summon

3x Insect Imitation

2x Pot of Duality

3x Call of the Haunted

2x Dark Bribe

2x Mirror Force

2x Dark Diviner

1x HTS Psyhemuth

1x Iron Chain Dragon

1x Underground Arachnid

The deck is basically a mill deck focused on repeatedly using Needle Worm's effect as much as possible with the Books. Needle Worm can be searched fairly easily by Howling Insect, Gokipon or by Tributing Bee List Soldier with Insect Imitation. Shield Worm and Warm Worm are there for additional mills, Shield Worm can act as a defence and Warm Worm is nice so I at least get something if my opponent uses destruction effects.

From my extra deck, Dark Diviner is amazing as a wall and for removing my opponent's beatsticks whilst milling. Iron Chain Dragon is generally worse but is nice if I happen to not have the required levels for Dark Diviner. HTS and Arachnid are nice as beatsticks/removing annoying stuff.

If there is one thing I'm not too happy about is it being difficult to use Beetron's effect. I don't want to remove it as it is a very nice effect, but I just don't know what other continuous cards to put in. Verdant Sanctuary and Fiendish Chain maybe?

Anyway, any help would be nice.

Personally, I'd drop the Deck-Destruction motif, which is a bit awkward.

As for this...

You could, like, run more Call of the Haunted/Dragon Oasis.

Makes Beetron more live, if you use the revived monster as fodder for stuff. You could also, then, run more stuff that would work better in the longer run, IE, more Infern Beetles/Verdant/etc.

I don't know, I really wanted to try out a deck like this but never got round to it, and decided that it was probably the best kind of format for it seeing as Burning Abyss, Shaddolls, Lightsworns etc don't exist.

I did try a more beatdown-style deck focusing more on Doom Dozer, along with stuff like Grasschopper and Solidarity. It was pretty good, but decided that kind of deck is probably what everyone is using in the Yugioh Gym Challenge, so I felt like being a bit different and making this.

I do get your point though, it can be very annoying if I don't manage to get Needle Worm's effect off quickly/enough.

That I will probably do.
