Also, no rank 5 because the Extra Deck was made before I found Stungray and has yet to be adjusted for the availability of rank 5s)2x Gustav Max (2000 damage and can still attack)1x CDI (CDI's a fair card, right?)1x Cyber Dargon Nova (For CDI)1x Crazy Box (For saccing and skill drain)1x Rebellion Xyz Dragon (Getting over strong ATK monsters that can't be Spidered)1x Utopia (A rank 4 that I knew before I quit)1x 101 (It's 101)2x Castel (It's Castel)1x Chidori (It's Chidori)1x Exciton Knight (It's Exciton Knight)2x Cowboy (I need just that little extra- dedd)1x Ptolemaios (Use as a 3-mat, use effect, get CDI) Side DeckNothing because I only play singles [spoiler=Changes][spoiler=7/10/2015]-3x Nightmare's Steelcage+3x Magic Planter-1x 101-1x Chidori-1x Exciton Knight+1x Ptolemaios+1x Cyber Dragon Nova+1x CDI The Deck mainly revolves around Summoning Spider and using and abusing its effect to the point to where the opponent's just can't field while you beat them down with Curse/Soul/Stungray. It can stall for a while while you try to get Spider, and if you're forced to use a monster other than Spider before Spider comes, Xyz are a thing. Sort of. I'm bad at Extra Decking. You can also throw a Zoma that they left out headlong into a monster they control for damage. It's always fun to win that way. Fun fact: If you chain all your Trap Monsters together and then finish the chain with Spider, Spider's effect works for all of the Summoned cards besides itself. This also works for if it's already out and you chain your monsters to an effect or each other. You can use this to make some cards miss timing. I don't need Swamp Mirrorer because the other attacking cards I have already have effects, and I'd rather have the cards I already have that aren't monsters. Both accomplish the same objective, but Custom lasts longer and provides better protection.Trap Monsters have little fear of the Battle Phase, either because of Stungray, Reflect Slime, Soul, or Custom, so cards like swords have little use. Trap monsters's power comes from an Xyz toolbox, relative indestructibility, and spider has given a wincon all on its own.Cat and Mirrorer both open up the ability to leverage that Xyz toolbox to either get useful cards more often (Tsukuyomi, Key Beetle, M7) or crazier summons (Kamikaze/Acid, Zerofyne, Bahamut Shark). I'm personally not a fan of CSG, even with Spider out, and the loss of flexibility granted by Mirrorer/Cat is enough that I'd say run 1-2 of them tl;dr-Swords+Custom -1/2 CSG+1/2 Quantum Cat/Swamp Mirrorer -Utopia+ Master Key Beetle -1 cowboy+ Constellar Omega (if R4 focused)/Pleiades (If you think you'll have two stungray/Ptolemaios but not Nova/infinity) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You don't use Cat / Mirrorer for attacking / defending, as Cat / Mirrorer are the best Level 4's in the damn deck, given that they allow you to tutor out any Rank 4 Xyz, starting from Xyz Monsters with generic materials and ending with Xyz Monsters with specific materials (e.g. Evolzar Laggia / Bujintei Tsukuyomi etc.) Also, why do you even bother playing Stungray if you're not going to play something like Pleiades / any other Rank 5 Xyz?
