[Singles] The Queen Retrains Her Soldiers

Queen of the Abyss

Recommended Posts

Herein lies my attempts to retrain the long lost cards that never stood a chance. Whether it be bosses that never were up to par, or mechanics that never were going to be a thing, this attempts to repair those in one form or another. My hope is that these get some use, and some of these mechanics, with the pools we have right now and the pools we have coming, have a chance to be viable somewhere, maybe even see competitive play amongst DP's elite. For now, I shall present these as is.

I think I felt my heart tingle with nostalgia at the sight of the Metalmorph cards. <3

Out of all of these cards, I like the Metalmorph retrains the most. I can't decide on which of the 3 monsters I like the most, but I'm especially glad that Zoa and Metalzoa got retrained.

I like Parshath and Diabolos, but I noticed a few errors and abusability points.

For Parshath, its detaching effect doesn't say "you can", so what happens if it doesn't have Xyz Materials?

For Diabolos...ummmm...it's kindaaaa abusable because it doesn't have an OPT clause for its effect.

Regardless, I like these retrains, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you! I felt it needed, and with Archfiends being the way they are, it literally made itself. Glad you enjoy it as much as I do

It's supposed to be that way. Nothing happens if it has no Xyz Materials. It just is a mandatory effect, like the original Parshath. It was a flavor point, which I remembered from playing Goat format

For Diabolos...ummmm...it's kindaaaa abusable because it doesn't have an OPT clause for its effect.

I was recommended this note actually. It's generally fine tbh, if only cause the effect isn't as amazing as other 3 Mat Rank 4s.

Regardless, I like these retrains, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Thank you! There definitely will be more (I got one or two to upload right when the Internet connection is back up at my house, power line is down rn and messaging this from a hot spot :( )

Added a few new cards:

- I will be starting to retrain a few of Marcel's Fiends from Season 3 of GX, will be starting with Daemon of Dark Summoning Arts, a much more usable Dark Summoning Beasts that instead SEARCHES the Sacred Beasts rather than reviving them since it doesn't work the same way in the TCG, and it gives the Wicked Gods, Supremacy Sun, and Darkness Neosphere a run for their money as well

- Masked Beast Des Guardius became the next card on the nostalgia train, along with its accompanying ritual both in the form of The Final Daemon - Des Masked Beast and Pandemonium's Behemoth - The Masked Beast respectively, the latter with accompanying ritual Pandemonium Curse. Grand Tiki Elder and Four-Face Beast retrains MAY be in function, (Depending on if Garland beats me to the race), but for now, these shall do. Daemon lets you acquire advantage and sets up explosive plays following the typical Fiend engine, and Behemoth turns Pandemonium cards into a field day of fun reminiscent of Ancient Fairy Dragon.

Will hold off on additional stuff for a bit for some comments, but added one quintessential Marcel retrain that seems to be a staple for a future Deck here, Daemon Core of Chaos, a Chaos Core retrain that turn's Marcel's fuel for the Impractical-In-Real-Life way to summon the Sacred Beasts into a more interesting take on its original effect reenacted as Fiend support.
