Flash Flyer - Sakura
Card A punishes SS-heavy Decks (which equates to pretty much everything, save for Monarchs, Yosenjus and a few other choice things), then it has a more restrictive version of what 11 has.First effect is a bit of a turn off IMO, given how oriented the game is regarding Special Summoning nowadays. I would be fine with this card halving the first instance of SSing per turn. It won't be stealing boss monsters (well, not the large ones, but there are certain ones that can be taken), but in either case, monster can still attack, be used for Synchro/Xyz Material for another monster and whatever else. (Although it is one use only, so that isn't so bad). ----Card B can absorb card types if the opponent triggers them by detaching (on its own, it's immune to Castel, Exciton, 101 and other common staple monsters). Then it can pop cards depending on the type of Xyz Materials it has at the moment. If it has a Spell Card, only things it'll be popping are likely Pendulum Scales and stuff like Tenki. For Traps, can blow up backrow if needed, so there's use there. Although given card B's attach effect to S/T cards, unless it is Field/Continuous, the effect is still going to go off before it attaches. However, it will provide some protection from common effect removal like Raigeki, Dark Hole, Mirror Force and whatever; provided it gets the bonus. Card has potential to be immune to everything save for battle, assuming you can get that 3rd mat on this card (although only way I can think of is you Astral Forcing off 52/55/106 and GK Pearl). I seem to recall a card with an identical effect to what this card has; maybe this is that card, but I cannot be sure. ---- I have less issues with card B, so that's where it's going.Card A might have gotten my vote, had it not punished the opponent for continually SSing like mad (and probably kept at OPT). (While yes, there are a lot of Decks nowadays that focus on it [sSing]; I feel that it is a bit much to be halving them; especially when you're not affected by this.)
