Woloa
[spoiler=Foreword]To give a bit of background to this, a couple years ago I came up with a world and some stuff to put into it, then, last year, I started thinking of turning that world into a card game. As an extra note, due to my lack of art ability and graphic design software I can not provide any visual examples of cards or provide I template, and I am deeply sorry about this. I was going to write a big epic introduction to the world, but, I decided against it for the time being. [spoiler=Card Template] [spoiler=Rules]Each deck consists of 1 Hero card and at least 39 other cards. Each player begins the game with 2 resources and a hand of 4 cards.[spoiler=Flow of a turn, Phase by Phase]1: The Setup Phase: During the set up phase, you gain 2 resources, plus any bonus resources your cards allow. If act first, you only gain 1 resource on your first turn. You always gain at least 1 resource during the setup phase. Some cards have effects that use the setup phase, those effects are resolved in order of when they were placed on the field. After all abilities are resolved, any exhausted allies or heroes the current player controls are returned to normal. 2: The Draw Phase: During the draw phase, you draw 1 card. If you act first, you do not draw a card on your first turn. Abilities that activate during the draw phase are resolved the same way as abilities during the setup phase. 3: Main Phase 1: During your first main phase, you may play as many ally, gear and event cards as you have resources to pay for, you may also obliterate (remove from play) 1 card from your hand to gain 1 additional resource during the first main phase. 4: Battle Phase: During the battle phase, you may target an opponent's hero for an attack, then, exhaust the ally you wish to attack with by turning it on its side. If your opponent has any allies who aren't exhausted, they may use them to block. Each ally takes damage equal to the other's attack, minus their own defense. All damage is persistent unless otherwise stated on a card. Your hero may also be used to attack, but this prevents the use of their abilities during your next turn. 5: Main Phase 2: All of the same actions as in main phase 1 can be preformed, however, you may not obliterate a card during your second main phase. 6: End Phase: During the end phase, you discard cards from your hand until you have 5, then, pass the turn over to the next player. Abilities that activate during the end phase are resolved the same way as draw phase and setup phase abilities. [spoiler=Card Types]All cards, except gear cards and some event cards, have factions and races. A card's faction or race must match the faction or race of your hero in order to be played.Hero:Hero cards have health and attack values. A hero only has a defense value if one is given by an ability or a gear card. When a hero's health value is reduced to 0, that hero's controller loses the game. All hero cards have an ability, most of these abilities require exhausting your hero. An exhausted hero can still be targeted for attacks and deals counter attack damage as normal. A hero can have up to 3 gear cards equipped at one time.[spoiler=Example Hero]Aurora, Legendary Scrap MechanicHealth: 19Attack: 6Race: Bat MorphFaction: People's RebellionAbility: 1 resource: Exhaust your hero: Search your deck for 1 Gear card, if the quality of that gear card is Makeshift, attach it to your hero or 1 ally you control, otherwise add it to your hand. Ally Cards:Ally cards have attack, defense and health values, some allies have effects. Ally cards can not be used to attack on the turn they enter play, but their abilities may be activated. If an ally card's health value hits 0, it is sent to the graveyard unless otherwise stated on a card. All ally cards have a cost in resources that must be met to place them on the field.[spoiler=Example Ally]Neko InfiltratorCost: 2Attack: 2Defense: 0Health: 5Race: NekoFaction: People's RebellionAbility: When this card enters play, look at your opponent's hand, then your opponent discards 1 Event Card from their hand. Gear Cards:Gear cards can be attached to allies and heroes, once the cost of a gear card is paid, it is attached immediately to the selected ally or hero. Allies may only have 1 gear card attached to them wile heroes can have 3. If an ally with a gear card is killed, the gear card is returned to its owner's hand unless otherwise stated on a card. All gear cards have a quality, either Makeshift, Poor, Good, Military or Mastercrafted.[spoiler=Example Gear]Arc Thruster FlamethrowerCost: 3Quality: MakeshiftEffect: Equipped ally or hero gains 3 attack and any damage they deal that goes beyond an ally's health is dealt directly to the hero of that ally's controller. Event Cards: Event Cards can do just about anything. Each event card has a cost that must be paid to activate it, but, that is the only constant. Unless otherwise stated on the card, events may only be played during your turn in one of your main phases.[spoiler=Example Event]Sudden ReinforcementsCost: 2Effect: Can be played at any time. Put into play 1 ally from your hand or deck with a cost of 2 or less. That's all I've got for now. Any feedback, regardless of how angry, is welcome.Update: Found a suitable template, at least until I can get someone who knows what their doing to help me make a proper one.
