Krein
Like the title says, I'm in need of some help from anyone experienced with avian pets. If you happen to be a veterinarian for these kinds of animals, then that's even better. Anyway, lately I've been worried about my bird. She is a two year old Quaker Parrot, and though she's been healthy the entire time we've had her she seems to have developed some sort of skin/feather problem. There is redness and a loss of feathers under her chin area, and today her left leg has developed the same problem (it looks raw and has lost a lot of feathers). There also appears to be a slight loss of feathers under her wings. She seems to be shaking as well, and is not willing to step up onto my finger or shoulder even though she's always done so when prompted. I'm not really sure what's going on with her. I thought it was just her molting since it is pretty warm where I live, but the stuff described above seems to indicate she's got some sort of condition. If anyone can suggest what's wrong with her and/or provide ideas for treatments, I'd be really grateful.
