Idea for a novel: Stockholm Sabotage

A girl who becomes a witness for a crime committed by a gang is kidnapped and held hostage. While being held, the gang leader drops by and tries to intimidate her by telling her what his plans were and what he was planning to do with her. With that in mind, the hostage tries to devise a plan to escape. Meanwhile, she receives more and more visits from the leader who shows weakness in developing some form of comfort in talking to her. She uses this weakness to her advantage by making him think she was in love with him, for which he admits the same for her. As an act of love, he lets her go, only to be assassinated by her. At that moment, she could have escaped, but the prize he previously mentioned for killing his current rival was intriguing. She then acquires the gang leader's authority by presenting his dead body to the gang members, becoming the new leader.
