Alchemic Kettle - Chaos Distill

Continuous Spell Card

Any cards sent to your Graveyard are banished instead.

It's a simple, but effective effect.  It doesn't affect your opponent's Graveyard, so it doesn't hose them like Macro Cosmos or Dark Law, and it provides a way for banish decks (including Ritual Beasts) to still do their thing.  I for one would like to see this card released in a future anime set, or a card like it released in a future set to give banish decks some love, but what do you think?

I really want the alchemy archetype to come out, they were such a cool concept! BUT ONCE AGAIN KONAMI INSTEAD OF MAKING COOL STUF, MAKE BROKEN MESSES!

Alchemy Beasts would need to have a massive overhaul.

All of them are nomis.

All of them have unsearchable Spell cards that you use to play them.

All of them need Kettle in the first place, for you to play said Spells(if I remember correctly).

It's just multiuple layers of inconsistency.

Well Konami could give 'em a boost, since you know Nekroz exist

It worked because Banner is a god. But really, there's not a lot of use to this. Macro is great because of affects your opponent, this would at best be used for Golden Homunculus.dek unless the archetype is changed completely.

That's the whole point behind this thing - it's a less degenerate Macro Cosmos in that it furthers a D.D. Deck's goal without the possibility of becoming a "screw the opponent" tech.

So you're telling me that you thought that Macro's only use was screwing over your opponent's Graveyard?  It's not like banish themes exist, and we could get more of them in the future.  Just because this thing was used with Alchemy Beasts and Homunculus doesn't mean that's all it's good for.

To be fair Heraldry, that WAS Macro's main use. It was quite often used by decks that could either afford the banish, or could find cheeky ways to circumvent it in order to stun your opponent. First turn Macros have been quite killer in screwing over your opponent, same with D.Fissure to a lesser degree. Aside from Ritual Beasts, almost any banish theme deck was complete and utter crap that relied entirely on top-decking Macro or D.Fissure to even remotely function. Getting this as-is wouldn't make them any better as Macro's greatest strength was screwing over Graveyard heavy decks, as this only allows those banish decks to even basically function.

*Sigh* Unfortunately, all of this is correct.

Not like said overhaul could not happen if they would be released, today it becomes a trend of buffing certain anime decks (e.g. speedroid).

Make the kettle untargetable and grant it a "seal of orichalcos" (the once per turn part) protection.

Next allow the alchemy beasts to shuffle them back into the deck to get their corresponding spell card, add graveyard effects (similar to the one of speed revival(e.g. send this banished card to grave)) and grant them more effects while they are on the field (also prevent them from going the xyz route).

Limit the power of negledo/limit the cards you can use during that turn to the archetype cards (thought not too much so you actually get advantage for it, as well as limiting it to once per turn).

Remove the limitration of albedo / incerase its power (perhaps add a speed revival effect (e.g. send this banished card to grave) to search 1 process card from the deck by shuffling one other back into the deck).

Add searchpower for chaos distill/remove the restreiction  of having distill/place one from the deck/graveyard if you do not control one while activating the summon spells. (kitolenix could be changed for this (nobody would need its anime effect).

All in all they are far more interesting than recent decks, so it might be worth the effort, also a deck which would actually play with a different place than the grave for lost cards would lead to a more diverse pool of cards.

Would you or would you not try to tie in Elemental Absorber?

As it already exists I would say they should float if they are banished and can be shuffled back from the hand to add chaos distill, then it should be playable (but so would be allure of darkness).

This way it would be tied in to add a bit speed and a wall for a specific attribute you choose.
