Egnio
(Image from Fable TLC, drawing from dA) Compassive Overlords, organization made to defend card makers from harsh, non-constructive, and poorly thought criticism. Yes. That's it. This is not a really big organization. But it's purpose is to aid newbies of card making. If you're interested, read on:
A few years ago, when Yu Gi Oh was the latest fashion, I was like 12-13 years old. As a hobby, since I liked it so much, I spent my time drawing Yu Gi Oh cards, and I loved it. And since they were 100% custom, I could do anything I wanted with them. What did I do? Ridiculously strong cards, with over 5000 atk and so on. But I loved it. I could express my originality and draw stuff I liked, showing fanboyism.
As said above, a way to express that you like something is to make fanart of it, in any possible way. The Card Maker is one way, and, if someone likes a lot something, he could just make a card out of it. Many newbies or young people want to show that they like so much something, so they make cards, and probably overpowered, to make them stand from the other ones. They like what they do, and they show it to the world, specifically us. He wants to share his likes. But how do we react? "OVERPOWERED!" "YOU FAIL" "0/10 BECUZ IT SUCKS" "Fail. 0/10." You have no idea how much I hate this kind of attitude. I mean, if I scanned my cards (yes, I still have some) and showed them to some people out here, I bet I'd hate you all because I feel you hate me. Is it so hard to, you know, give CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM? No. 0/10 is not constructive criticism. It's a rating. "OVERPOWERED" isn't either. It's a statement. And it doesn't helps any more that 6 people in a row say that. Nor that they say "Lower it's power.". If it's overpowered, OF COURSE IT NEEDS ITS POWER LOWERED. But ask yourself, how? Answer yourself, and explain it. This doesn't apply only to Overpowered cards. Think of underpowered. Think of bad OCG cards. Think of anything wrong with them. You don't have to be harsh on people. Just help them improve. Is it that hard? So, basically. What do we do on this organization? Give constructive criticism to card makers who make wrong cardsSuggest people who are being harsh to give constructive criticismExplain what's wrong with the cards, and be patient to the creatorSuggest people that make obviously strong cards (9999 atk, insta-win, etc) to make more realistic cards Basically, our biggest problem is the OVERPOWERED statement. If you see an overpowered card, there might be 2 situations. 1.- Card obviously overpowered (9999 atk, insta-win, etc). If this is the case, it's an obvious fanboyism. Respect the likes, and you don't need to give criticism, as it's impossible. Just suggest the creator to make more realistic cards. 2.- Card overpowered for certain issues (Atk doesn't match level, too powerful effect, etc). Some people make overpowered cards without actually trying too. Just suggest better effects, more suitable attack and defense, or so on. You don't need to say OVERPOWERED for that, do you? But what we are really trying to aim for is to give constructive criticism overall, not only prevent OVERPOWERED statements. Bad image? Suggest to get a better one of better quality (and as square as possible). Bad OCG? Suggest a better OCG or suggest to pay to get some. Etc. What's in there for you? Apart from being nice, earning respect from newbies and among some people who are as intolerant to Shiny-armor members that yell at members with fewer natural skills than them, you can get an userbar from me about this organization, and free photoshopped works from me. Here's an example of signature: So, as the other clubs, this organization also has rankings (and yes, we'll be using the overused Exp system). 10 Exp for each post where you make a good review or criticism of some newbie card (PM me the link to the thread). And 50 Exp if the user gave you a reputation for being nice (PM me and I'll check you). 0-50 Exp: Peasant60-100 Exp: Scouter110-200 Exp: Warrior210-300: Swordsman310-400: Knight410-500: Emperor510 and above Exp: Overlord (I'm Master Overlord because I made this :D)(If I think you're nice enough, you might not need Exp to earn ranks) Members:0 Exp 0 Exp By joining, you agree to not ever yell at people "OVERPOWERED" or "FAIL". You may say stuff like "Your card is overpowered", followed by an explanation of how to not make it overpowered or so on. You won't do any other type of flamebait or such to persons who post their cards. Whatever you do outside of the card posting threads, I don't give a sh*t (you'd get neg reps by others anyways). And you must help people regularly. I'm not letting you join if you will only be a lich that wants free stuff. (Yeah. You can join other clubs, and you may not want to use your bar in your signature. But we just can't have enough people that are nice to newbies. So, if you're nice already, you can join because of the extra benefits) Remember. It's not Overpowered. It just can be powered down. Now, go out and make me proud.

Egnio
By free stuff, I mean you get to request stuff for free that I can do (not much to not abuse), so basically I don't have to keep anything for myself. As for stars and such, one person could spam the whole forum to get 6 stars, while there might be some awesome memeber that rarely post. So don't take stars of a member into consideration when posting. Number of posts is never relative to how good a person is. Alright. Signing you up. Expect your userbar in a while. Shin Akuma
i have to agree with this one...some people want some good critisism about their card/decks. I have seen countless and unnecessary "This deck/card sucks," etc. and not giving a minute to as why it sucks and the reason behind it. I'll join cuz i think this will promote better and more constructive critisism. Furthermore, i too, have made sooo many Overpower'd cards, its ridiculous, such as me Street Fighter series. oh man, it was so ridiculous but it was funny at the same time cuz me friends thought that they were real until i told them...hehe, won a couple of rares too using them, but i gave them back.in all seriousness though, i will support your group and hope that others that feel the same way will join.
