Simping For Hina
Definitely one of the more viable creatures around. I like him in BW Warriors even if he isn't a warrior.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Should have been a rogue, IMO.
Flame Dragon
This is why they shouldn't have revealed Lili first. I just love her card SO much more than all the others. They are all good, but nothing catches my imagination like she did. Anyway, I feel like his planeswalker half and his flip condition contradict. If your attacking with a bunch of guys its that much harder to protect him. Sure he'll have 5 loyalty but that isn't that hard to take out unless he flips turn 3. Though at 5 loyalty he survives getting it by a most lone creatures at the start of the game. Feel like I'll need to see him in action before I can judge. If you attack with more creatures, any one block becomes less favourable. Attacking in Gideon with 4 creatures instead of 3 is better, because if you put in a creature to block Gideon, you have one less to block the fourth creature. I think Gideon is just unequivocally a good aggro card. It's a Savannah Lions+ that turns into an indestructible 4/4 attacker. For one mana. That's some aggressive stuff. I'm not sure I follow what your saying. I think your thought process is that by leaving Gideon open your opponent is forced to decide between attacking him to prevent you from getting a 4/4 indestructible or leaving back guys to block since you'd obvious have a number of creatures out and they might not be able to take the backswing. Yea, I can see why this train of logic make sense. Normally planeswalkers deal a lot with playing to protect them, so that is the first place my brain went with this. That really isn't true with him though.

So that would be a good 4 loyalty with a blocker. I totally was ignoring his +1. I missed the indestructible lasting until your next turn and the implication of the untap. Dear load did I butcher my evaluation of this card.

bury the year
2/1 for 1's always going to have some playability. The conditional indestructability just seals it. Can't say I'm a big fan of how he looks on his creature-side art, though. Dunno why.

bury the year
His face is too tough for his body. THANK YOU. The proportions of his face are just way too square. Gideon's face always looked more oval to me when others have drawn him, so to see Murai's interpretation is a bit... jarring.
.Rai
Maybe it's because I used to live in an area with a big Greek community and know tons of people who when they were that age did genuinely look like that, so Gideon looks totally normal to me. Really cool to see Murai finally get a planeswalker commission. Nice to see Murai's style on Gideon. Gideon's been portrayed with no whimsy or remote semblance of joy, so it's good to see an interpretation with at least some cartoonishness.
