I played a bit from at my friends. Really fun. He said it's pretty short, but it's definitely worth 4 bucks.

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is 80% off and is a wonderful puzzle platformer.

Sanctum 2 is a really cool FPS tower defence that's 80% currently 66% off right now.

I see Smear already got it, but Transistor is made by the creators of Bastion, if you've played that, and is just as fantastic. It's 75% off for the next hour. Currently 40% off, but I imagine it will go on a big sale again before the end.

Deux Ex: Human Revolution is 80% currently 50% off, as well the entire franchise. I've only played HR, though, and it's simply an amazing game. Awesome shooter/stealth with an awesome story.

Spelunky, a nice little rogue-like dungeon exploring treasure grabbing game, is 80% currently 50% off.

Skullgirls, a really stylish and fun 2D fighting game, is 75% off.

I highly recommend Terraria, which is kinda like Minecraft, but also pretty fun. It's at 75% off right now.

bit dungeon II is a cool game 50% off at $2.50. Think kind of like a weird pixel zelda/dark souls.

 

Dust: An Elysian Tail is 80% off at $2.99. Fun as hell, awesome art style too. Not really sure how to explain it. 2D side scroller, hack and slash game, I guess?

 

Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas is 50% off right now, at $7.49 and it is straight up awesome. Legend of Zelda-esque game with a WindWaker (or Phantom Hourglass) like ship exploration. Definitely recommended for people who like LoZ.

Bastion is 75% off and I would put this at the top of the list of games to buy during this sale. It's an amazing ARPG with beautiful art and music.

Torchlight II is another great ARPG in the style of the Diablo games, and is currently 80% off (along with its prequel, though I wouldn't consider it as good).

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is currently 75% off at $5. The Legendary Edition which contains all the DLC is only $13.59. If you haven't played it yet and enjoy the Elder Scrolls series or games like it, I highly recommend it.

Never bought anything on Steam before but I got a bunch of things today, with around $10 to spare. Might wait for more dailies but recs are welcome.

Battleblock Theater is 90% off, and it's a zany (can be co-op) platformer from the creators of Castle Crashers that's a lot of fun.

A modern reboot of the platforming franchise, Strider is currently 70% off and is wonderful visually with Metroidvania elements. A great interpretation of the classic series.

Reus, a really neat little god game where you control the planet's environment, animal and plant life, etc. as powerful giants. The only thing you have no control over is mankind that develops there. It's currently 75% off.

LIMBO is a nice little 2D puzzle platformer with a dark aesthetic, currently 75% off.

Hammerwatch is a fun hack and slash action adventure, set in a fantasy pixel art environment. Currently 80% off.

A different kind of MOBA, Awesomenauts features the battles of space mercenaries in a fast-paced 3v3 environment. Currently 90% off.
