That moment when your old design is broken and not really possible to balance; but then you come up with a new idea anyways! The design was changed from Synchro-from-the-ED;Xyz-from-the-grave to just Synchro summon Dark Tuner Synchro Monsters and then use those to Dark Synchro and evolve into even more dangerous monsters! I also changed the overall gimmick to name-stealing; literally infecting enemy monsters. So here we go!

You can tribute this face-up card and target 1 "Malefection" Pendulum Monster in your Graveyard: Special Summon that target in face-up Defense Position. You cannot Pendulum Summon the turn you use this effect. You can only use this effect of "Malefection_Worm" once per turn.

Once per turn, if you control another "Malefection" card in your other Pendulum Zone, you can make this card's Pendulum Scale 6. If this card would be sent to the Extra Deck, send it to the Graveyard instead. During your End Phase, you can destroy this card: Add 1 "Malefection" Pendulum Monster from face-up in your Extra Deck or Graveyard to your hand. You can only activate this effect of "Malefection_Tracker" once per turn.

 

 If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a Machine-Type monster, you can target 1 face-up monster you control: This card's Level becomes that target's Level. If this card is sent to the Graveyard as a material for the Special Summon of a Machine-Type monster, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls: Its name becomes "Malefected".

If you have a "Malefection" card in your other Pendulum Zone: You can destroy this card, and if you do, choose 1 "Malefection" Pendulum Monster from your Deck and place it in your Pendulum Zone, except "Malefection_Trojan".

 

When this card is Normal Summoned, you can target 1 "Malefection" Pendulum Monster in your Graveyard: Special Summon that target. You cannot Pendulum Summon the turn you use this effect. If this card battles a "Malefected" monster and destroys it, you can draw 1 card.

You can Tribute 1 face-up "Malefection" monster you control: Add 1 face-up "Malefection" Monster from your Extra Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Malefection_Macro" once per turn.

 

If this card is used a Material for a Synchro Summon, send it to the Graveyard. If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a Machine-Type Monster, you can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls: Its name becomes "Malefected". This card can only be used as a Material for the Special Summon of a Machine-Type monster.

Face-up "Malefected" monsters lose 500 ATK and DEF. If this card is sent from your Pendulum Zone to your Extra Deck: Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls that wasn't Special Summoned from the Extra Deck: Its name becomes "Malefected".

 

If this card is used a Material for a Synchro Summon, send it to the Graveyard. If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a Machine-Type monster, you can target 1 face-up monster you control and 1 face-up "Malefection" Monster in your Extra Deck: Destroy the first target, and Special Summon the second. You can only use this effect of "Malefection_Trackware" once per turn. This card can only be used as a Material for the Special Summon of a Machine-Type monster.

You can only use this effect of "Malefection_Spybot" once per turn. You cannot Pendulum Summon the turn you use this effect.

At the start of the Battle Phase, you can have this card gain 400 ATK for every "Malefection" Pendulum Monster face-up in your Extra Deck until the end of this turn. Other monsters you control cannot declare attacks the turn you activate this effect. Once per turn, you can target 1 face-up "Malefection" monster you control: Decrease its Level to 1, and if you do, this card gains 1 Level.

You can target 1 face-up "Malefected" monster your opponent controls: Destroy it, then gain LP equal to half the ATK of the destroyed monster. You can only use this effect of "Malefection_Client_SHO-GUN" once per turn. Once per turn, you can target 1 face-up "Malefection" monster you control: Decrease its Level to 1, and if you do, this card gains 1 Level.

Once per turn: You can send 1 face-up "Malefection" monster from your Extra Deck to the Graveyard: Negate the effects of all face-up Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls until the end of the turn, and this card gains DEF equal to the number of cards negated x200. Once per turn, you can target 1 face-up Level 5 "Malefection" monster you control: Decrease its Level to 1, and if you do, this card gains 1 Level.

This card cannot be destroyed by the effects of "Malefected" cards. At the start of the Battle Phase, you can target 1 face-up "Malefected" monster your opponent controls: It loses 400 ATK for every "Malefection" Pendulum Monster face-up in your Extra Deck until the end of this turn.  If this face-up card is destroyed by battle or by card effect and sent to the Graveyard, you can target 1 "Malefection_Client_BCG" in your Graveyard and Special Summon that target in face-up Defense Position, but its effects are negated and it loses 600 ATK and DEF. You can only use this effect of "Malefection_Null_AILE-MENT" per turn.

This card cannot be destroyed by the effects of "Malefected" monsters. You can only use each effect of "Malefection_Null_TRENCH" once per turn. During either player's turn, if your opponent Special Summons a monster, you can activate this effect: That monster's name becomes "Malefected", then deal 1000 damage. If this face-up card is destroyed by battle or by card effect and sent to the Graveyard, you can target 1 "Malefection_Client_SHO-GUN" in your Graveyard and Special Summon it in face-up Defense Position, but its efffects are negated and it loses 800 ATK and DEF.

This card cannot be destroyed by the effects of "Malefected" cards. Once per turn: You can place 1 "Malefection" Pendulum Monster in your Graveyard face-up on your Extra Deck: Negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent controls until the end of the turn, and if you do, their names become "Malefected". This card gains 200 ATK for every "Malefected" monster on the field. If this face-up card is destroyed by battle or by card effect and sent to the Graveyard, you can target 1 "Malefection_Client_Overcode" in your Graveyard and Special Summon that target in face-up Defense Position, but its effects are negated and it loses 1000 ATK and DEF. You can only use this effect of "Malefection_Null_Solace" per turn.

Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending 2 "Malefection" monsters you control with opposite Levels to the Graveyard (1 Dark Tuner and 1 Dark Synchro), and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. While this card is face-up on the field, all monsters your opponent controls are treated as "Malefected" monsters. Once per turn, you can banish 1 "Malefection" Synchro or Dark Synchro monster from your Graveyard: Until the end of this turn, this card gains the original effect(s) of the monster banished. If this card is destroyed and would be sent to the Graveyard: Banish it instead.

After a couple tests, the deck felt painfully linear and boring. I also realized that the amount of generic DARK Machine support is nill and pretty crap, so I had to compensate for that a little. Overall the test build I had made was supposed to be fairly optimal, but it felt like crap because of the cards I had to run so some changes needed to be made and some niches filled.
