Episode 1: Riding Duel! Acceleration

Domino City several years after the times in which Yugi Mutou dwelled has been turned into Neo Domino City, a hierarchical society parted in the differences between the rich and the poor. Yusei Fudo, who lives in the Satellite Area, has been gazing at the Tops Area where his rival and current Riding Duel Champion, Jack Atlas lives. He swears to go there and accomplish his goal. Yusei's friend, Rally, has gotten parts for the D-Wheel, an evolved system of the Duel Disk, and makes his way to Yusei. Taking them, Yusei is then surrounded by the Public Order Bureau Security. Sticking up for his friend Rally, Yusei challenges the Security to a duel. A Riding Duel with Yusei against Ushio, a member of Security, has gotten underway.

Preview is taken from janime, who in turn probably took it from Tokio TV.

So the first episode of the new series. What do you think of the preview, how do you think the duel will go and what kind of characters are you hoping for to appear?

Living in Japan now, I was lucky enough to see the first episode.

Ushio uses a secruity force-like deck, with Assault Gun Dog, Wapper Dragon, and Montage Dragon being his finisher.

On the other hand, Yuusei uses a "junk" deck, made of cards he apparently picked up from the trash (but he maybe bluffing to Ushio though, who knows...) Ushio does actually say "Hmph, a collection of junk in a random pile of cards can't possibly beat me."

The D-Wheel system is normally just a motorcycle, but by using the field spell, "Speed World", it shifts to an autopilot duel mode, and allows the rider to duel.

The speed the Wheel travels at is crucial, as "Speed Spells" (new spell type) requires the Wheel to travel at a certain speed in order to activate it. Furthermore, taking direct damage slows down the Wheel, although it maybe because Yuusei's D-Wheel is a wee bit old.

The duel itself was a show of new Duelist Genesis cards, with Yuusei using Equipment Shooter (?) on Wapper Dragon to change it from being equipped from Junk Warrior to Montage Dragon. Speed Warrior's attack (a spinning kick) was quite cool too.

The ED is bland, but the OP is amazing. I loved it.

well thanks, pizzaman.I will get to see the raw version proably tomorrow on youtube & then later the subbed version.I always find the japanese versions to be the best. And why i'm not surprised that a hall monitor-gone-security officer would use a secruity force deck.

I think it'll be great. Can't wait to see how Synchro Monsters work.

it was showed in the first episode.

But it mainly works this way.

You need to have a tuner monster + 1 or more other monsters. then you send them both to the grave and the level of those combined is the level allowed for the synchro monster to have. EX: Speed Warrior and Junk Synchron = level 5 combined. And Junk Warrior is level 5.

Some sunchro monsters needs a specific tuner monster to be summoned.

Junk Warrior: Junk Synchron + 1 or more non tuner monsters.

Nitro Warrior: Nitro Synchron + 1 or more non tuner monsters.

some might also need more that only 2.

Mist Worm: Tuner Monster + 2 or more Non-Tuner Monsters.

i think thats about it.

I was born here' date=' but moved to Hong Kong when I was 3.

I recently moved back here for uni.

Lol @ 5D's being cool.

No one hates motorcycles. No one hates dueling with 3D projections.

Adding the two can't possibly make it bad, right?

Nobody hates anime. Nobody hates card games. That didn't stop GX from sucking.

Subs are out from TnKP.

The first episode surprisingly didn't suck. I might actually have 2 shows I will watch this season.

Right

I watched it a short while ago and i must say

Its not a dissapointment.

They have bumped up the graphics greatly, it blends well and is just better, it already feels more of an adult version of Yu-Gi-Oh, much like season 5 of Digimon.

I like the dueling and general gameplay, and think the storyline will be good.

To me its like;

Yu-Gi-Oh (Dueling) + Extreme-G Racing (Bikes and riding) + Dance Dance Revolution (J-Electro music)

Its good
