YCM's Seasonal Anime Character Tournament - 2011 1/2

- First Half -

 
[spoiler=Rules]-All YCM rules apply
-People will pick 1 favorite character from each anime you've watched that debuted in the Winter 2011 and Spring 2011 seasons
-All nominations will participate in a tournament
-For some reason, there will be a third place
-All nominations must be in by 12 AM EDT July 16 (just about 5 days from now)
-If there are less than 32 characters in by the last day, the people who've already nominated can nominate 4 more characters, ignoring the limit on what anime the characters are from, until there are 32 characters in (afterwards, only people that haven't nominated can nominate)
-Matches can end by a mercy ruling, if one character is 5 or more votes ahead of the other
-I'll try to make the votes public. If I forget you can even kick my butt or touch it, if you'd prefer.
-This is how the first round will be randomized if the number of contestants is 17-31 or more than 32. The only difference will be another round(s) if there is more than 32.[/spoiler]

To be fair, all the names are their romanized japanese names, and only a handful of those shows are worth watching.
