Your (actual) Voice

My regular voice sounds fine, although it tends to be a bit on the higher edge at times.

Sometimes I end up having to manually deepen it (with effort) if I want it to sound more masculine (not saying that it isn't).

Singing, well I sound...iffy.

I don't have an accent though; as far as I'm concerned in terms of English speakers.

---

For the record, I more/less don't even want to hear self on video.

(I did post a video AMA a couple months ago; that should give you an idea on how I talk. I didn't listen to it though, so...)

As the manliest sonofabitch on this forum (to the point Nai asked for advice on how to be more masculine) a guy confident in their own voice sounds a lot manlier than someone faking a voice.

I don't have a problem with mine, save for when I try singing (although that might be due to not taking voice lessons).

Come to think of it, I don't think I had to manually deepen it often (maybe save for some classroom stuff a few years ago); not like I'm going to do voice-overs or something like that.

I have a tendency to talk quicker than normal (although likely inherited from parents), so that might have something to do with it.

Basically, it's not high-pitched but not really deep like some guys I know IRL. Probably a medium somewhere in-between.

Not going to record mine though, at least for the time being.

Err... Can I join in?

Accent-wise speaking, I do have an accent when I speak English, thanks to the extra tooth between my front teeth. My enunciation suffers for that, as hardly anybody understand what i said in English most of the time. Hmm, also i pronounce the "r" sound a bit stronger than it should be, a habit adopted since I start learning Italian.

Pitch-wise speaking, it seems like my pitch changes. Most of the timem, I speak with a chest voice, which is deeper. however, during classes, I have been told more than once to "lower my voice", hence the nasal voice. When I speak with a nasal voice, my voice is somewhat like that possessed girl on the "Exorcism". ("Your mother is here with us"... #spitting_green_slim) Although, when i hear my recording during lessons, I think my voice would be in the "high-pitch" category, unfortunately...

People tell me that my natural voice is pretty high-pitched for my sex/age, but I don't particularly mind it either way myself.

As for singing voice, I've been really into things of that sort from a young age, and even without professional tutoring or such, I took it upon myself to sing various wide ranges and kinds of songs. As a result, I can hit a pretty large range of voice pitches and inflections.

I've gotten sick a few times recently (maybe a few months ago or such) as well as some bad coughs though, which seemed to have scarred my throat somewhat, so I'm still working on rebuilding my full vocal range, since it's a little coarser/shorter at the moment.

I like my voice though, I'd say.

Get better recording stuff and I would watch you do LPs and shit all the time. As Giga said, fantastic.

Haha I am flattered. I am looking to get a decent Gaming Rig soon so I will definately consider doing Lets Plays if enough people here wanted it of course.

Roddy said this about my voice: "UGHH Dae's voice" and nothing else matters.

Only because your lack of a Brazilian accent doesn't suffice to his.

Damn Brazilians and their superiority complex.
