Approximately 300 people survived from an astonishing 30 Billion people during the apocalyptic event only known as "The Rift". These 300 survivors survived due to entering of "The Ark", a massive aerospace ship which put everyone in stasis for 300 years and landed on the new, destroyed Earth. They took a long time but eventually Earth became a striving technological hub. But this RP isn't about the prosperity or the Peace times. You see, in the year 4967, a scientist by the name of Irouh Von Albres Invented the very first functional Mecha, with himself as the pilot. He mass produced them and sold them to the military. The military abused their power with the mechas and caused endless war with the civilians, who were oppressed and used as slaves. That kept on until one day, a brave man sparked, The Rebellion. The rebels stole some blueprints from the military forces and used them to create their own mechas. That's when the real fight began. Machine Vs. Machine, Man Vs. Man. The war has begun, are you ready to fight? [spoiler=Info] [spoiler=Mecha] Mechas are divided into different categories. 1st there is the Aerospace-Type. These are the ones that can fly in the sky or in outer space (which is harder and of course more expensive). Then we have the Aquatic-Types. These are the sea dweller Mecha's which usually come with a standard harpoon or torpedo related weapon, but not necessarily. After that we have the Infantry-Type which is your standard scout/basic unit. These always come with some kind of assault rifle, handgun or melee weapon. Finally there's the Heavy-Type. These are the brute force tankers, which usually bring explosives, large melee weapons, powerful energy sources and are extremely slow, usually.[/spoiler] [spoiler=Soldier Weapons] You have a WIDE array of weapons. Here are the most basic kinds of weapons for your non-pilot. Regular Live Action Guns - These are the guns we all know and love which use actual bullets. These include Sniper Rifles, Machine Guns, Revolvers, etc... Energy Guns - these are the science fiction lover's dream weapon. These are the standard laser pistols, plasma rifles and even phasers! Explosives - These are the powerful booms! The demolition lover's dream! These include basic explosives like mines and grenades to bazooka's grenade launchers and plasma mines. [/spoiler] [spoiler=Rebels] The rebels don't have a specific organization, they are just there to destroy the military and the government's grip on society. That means that they don't necessarily have a specific leader. That said certain squads or teams MAY have a commander. [/spoiler] [spoiler=Bounty Hunters] These are the people who have no allegiance to anyone. They do anything as long as the cash is right. They do anything their employers tell them too. [/spoiler] [spoiler=Military] The military are commanded by their leader, General Larit IV. Anyone in the army is ready to give their life for their country, supposedly. This isn't true do to the fact that MOST, not all, soldiers abuse their power.
