AnnieShifter
After the immense support the archetype had recently received, I couldn’t help but make a deck based around them. I’ll avoid discussing all staple cards, but I’m open to all advice and criticism. Monsters: 23 2x Dragonpit Magician: The go to scale 8 pendulum due to it being the most efficient. Being a level 7 promotes Xyz summons. Its pendulum effect is helpful, allowing you to discard any pendulum, preferably, Noble Magician for later use and then destroy any spell/trap. Main form of spell/trap hate for the deck, and can combo well with Peasant Magician. 1x Dragonvein Magician: Decent 1800 beatstick with a scale of 1, although the go to low scale tends to be Peasant Magician this card offers an alternative. Offers monster removal, and although it tends not to be as useful as Dragonpit, it is a level 4 for Xyz summons. 3x Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon: Key card to the deck that offers access to strong extra deck monsters, and assists in searching the deck. Mandatory card that is required and assists in OTKs. 1x Antithesis Magician: Level 7 beatstick with a decent scale. Promotes Xyz plays and also provides protection against dangerous light monsters, such as Exciton Knight. 2x Oversight Magician: Unique Magician that helps add diversity and flexibility to the scales. Mainly used as a defensive card to protect against bottomless and other irritating trap cards that disrupt plays. Also promotes rank 7 plays and has decent Attack. 3x Peasant Dragon Magician: The go to low scale that allows you to replenish your hand with Magicians for later use. Serves as a recycler and assists in reusing destroyed boss monsters. Greatest downside is the cards strange level, but other than that, is a very useful card. 3x Performapal Skullcrobat Joker: The deck rarely normal summons so the card fits perfectly in. Searches the entire deck’s monster line-up, and it can also be searched by Sorcerer. Promotes rank 4’s and can be recycled by Vortex Dragon. It does have a great scale, but is rarely used as one. Mandatory 3 (semi stratos. 3x Insight Magician: A great and mandatory card for the deck. Not only does it search out any of the Magicians, but also provides you with future rank 4 plays or Vortex fodder. The hand effect is useful, but no longer as needed with the recent support. It is searchable through 3 separate ways, and is a mandatory 3 of. 2x Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer: The deck’s main way to search Skullcrobat, and also provides scale manipulation. Very versatile and useful card that is the main card that provides Vortex fodder, and forms small loops every turn to gain major advantage. The card is searchable by 2 ways, and is level 4 for rank 4 plays. Sadly it is not a Magician. I may consider putting it to 3, but 2 seems fine. 1x Thesis Magician: Decent Magician with a great, yet restrictive scale. The card was once a much more important card, but with the introduction of Dragonpit, the card is not as mandatory for a scale 8. Serves as a level 4 for rank 4 plays, and can be used along with Antithesis to summon OERD to ravage an unsuspecting Duelist. 2x Noble Dragon Magician: Deck’s main tuner that also serves as the main target for Pendulum Call, Dragonpit, and Dragonvein. Running two ensures that you always have at least one available copy, but 3 tends to be too much. Spells/Traps: 17 1x Raigeki 3x Pendulum Call: The decks 2 card insta scale, that provides added on discard fodder for Noble Magician. Mandatory 3 that provides you with added on scale protection. 2x Odd-Eyes Fusion: Searchable off of the field spell, and usually provides you with instant access to the deck’s main stun card (Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon). 3x Sky Arc: Amazing Card that provides you with decent field manipulation and gives hand advantage. The cards also provides added on scale protection. The card isn’t always required, but does help in providing plusses, and field presence. 1x Bottomless Trap Hole 1x Torrential Tribute 2x Breakthrough Skill 1x Compulsory Evacuation Device 2x Fiendish Chain 1x Solemn Warning Extra Deck: 1x Rune-Eyes Dragon: Offers a possible, more aggressive alternative to Vortex dragon, and in general is a powerful OTK machine. 2x Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon: The decks themed Infinity, that provides the deck with a much needed stun aspect. Great stats that allow it to serve as a good wall. It also has a powerful compulse effect that activates whenever special summoned, and is summon able through Absolute’s effects. It’s a key card for the deck, and usually comes out first before I begin to go combo wombo. 1x Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon: Powerful beater that provides the deck freedom from the danger of battle phase based monsters, such as fire and ice hand. He also assists in providing field presence. Can easily be used to summon Absolute and later revived using Absolute’s effect. 1x Clear Wing Synchro Dragon 1x Moonlight Rose Dragon 1x Black Rose Dragon 1x Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon: Provides fusion material for summoning Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon, and serves as an OTK machine when successfully summoned. Rarely summoned, but when it is, it tends to be devastating. Wields the highest normal attack in the deck. 2x Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon: Main rank 7 for the deck that provides battle protection, and graveyard revival. It also has a strong Odd-Eyes Extra Deck Special Summoning effect for “any” Odd-Eyes monster. Great stats allow it serves as great beater. 1x Number 11: Big Eye 1x Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon 1x Number 101: Silent Honor Ark 1x Castle, The Skyblaster Musketeer 1x Evilswarm Exciton Knight
