EDIT 2: Indestructibility effect update to match MPB's. Tribute Eff to match MPB's (And subsequently changed) Lore: 2 Level 10 "Mecha Phantom Beast" Monsters. If this card would be destroyed, or is targeted by a card effect, you can detach 1 Xyz material from this card instead, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Mecha Phantom Beast Token" (Machine-Type/WIND/Level 3/ATK 0/DEF 0). This card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects while you control a token. Once per turn, you can tribute 1 "Mecha Phantom Beast" monster to switch this cards ATK and DEF until the End Phase. Flavour: Number 98 refers to Pathfinder OV-098 which is a space shuttle simulator developed by NASA. It was perfect to use for Mecha Phantom Beasts (and the name even goes along with the rest of the archtype!) The reason I say a simulation goes well with this is for the fact that a token is essentially a simulation of another monster. So in my opinion it ties up very well :3 Let me know what you think! Granted, it is possible to actually go into this with MPBs (provided you have 2 MPB tokens + 2 regular ones out), but looking at it, basically a wall monster. At best, this can reach 3200 ATK, assuming you have a full board of Tokens out. Although keep in mind that clogging your field with Tokens is counterproductive to other plays you could be making in the Deck. Although this card is rather hard to get rid of, because you still have the 2 Xyz on this card, and whatever Tokens you have. So yeah, it's more/less a mixed boss monster for them (considering that it is more/less dependent on your Tokens, but can also stay around for a while). Should also note that it is still 101/Castel-weak, but then Dracossack's weak against it too (and that thing is your main boss). Then again, most things are vulnerable to them anyway. Just keep that in mind though, since your opponent still has a way to get rid of it, even with all the safeguards. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I almost posted this card without the ATK gain in the beginning.Might change the effect where is SS a token to when it is targeted as well, so it has more protection while it has Xyz Materials.EDIT: Removed Attack Gain effect. Flash Flyer - Sakura Posted May 13, 2015 Report Share Posted May 13, 2015 While the protection is nice, MPBs would likely prefer to go on the offensive and win, considering that they are rather slow compared to more streamlined Decks. From experience, if they can afford to make Rank 10s, they usually make Gustav and just heavy burn. (Or personally, I prefer to make Gangaridai, blow something up + burn them along the way if the situation demands it. Or just hit them with 3.4K off the bat.) But yeah, adding some targeting protection will help a bit, so that problem with Castel and 101 is dealt with. Again, MPBs can make this in a couple turns, but does require some setup. I just had an idea while at work for a solution to this card! Instead of the tribute effect it has to SS a Mecha Phantom Beast monster, would it be good to change it to "This cards ATK and DEF are switched until the End Phase." ? Did it anyways.
