Get it?  cuz you get the mirror shield in the earth temple?  Nevermind

Just an Idea I had.  Has been working fairly well in practice. The best thing about mirror shield is that you can reset it for next turn if you need to.

I think for that reason I should be running a few Hobans, but deck space is a bit tight.  any suggestions?

Personally, Bottomless and Solemn can be replaced with something better.
-------------------------------------
-1 Bottomless
-1 Solemn Warning

+1 Vanity's Emptiness
+1 Ring of Destruction

Glads have no use for searching their monsters. Also, Call of the Haunted is really not worth it when you have Darius and Wolfbark.
-------------------------------------
-2 Proving Ground
-2 Call of the Haunted

+3 Upstart Goblin
+1 Something

Lastly, having traps like Fiendish Chain, Mind Crush, etc. wouldn't hurt either. As I look at the deck, it seems to be trying to play 2 variants at the same time, which can lead to some dead draws and suboptimal performance. I would recommend either dropping the Wolfbarks or Prisma, once you decide which "engine" appears to be more potent.

Vanity's is a terrible idea. Almost nothing in this deck just hits the grave, and it completely stops my beasts from tagging out. It puts an already slow deck in neutral

Ring of destruction is an option, but it worries me about moon mirror shield, whose reset effect is mandatory. I don't want to kill myself with it.

Why the hell would I replace rota with upstart? Why? That makes 0 sense.

The call of the haunted a are actually vital to the deck. Not only do they keep my beasts going, but they let me abuse gyzerus to all hell.

I actually haven't had a problem with dead draws recently. Wolf bark is a 1 card engine and prisms is a 2 card engine that also synergies with the rest of the deck.

Vanity's is still a strong card in most decks, and once Glads have their field presence (aka Herkalinos), it really isn't all that bad. When that time comes, Vanity's will create a strong lockdown on the opponent. Even if it doesn't work that way, it still stops the opponent from summoning for a turn, and it places them in a similar pace to your deck.

By that logic, Solem Warning might as well not be run since it drops your LP about the same amount that Ring of Destruction does.

If Call of the Haunted works, then I am not complaining. I was just wondering how vital Call of the Haunted is when, at best, you only have a Bestiari or Laquari in grave that can simply be fetched via Darius.

Gladiator Beasts, at least the way I see it, have no need for tutoring their monsters, as they all want to stay in the Deck to be tagged in. Having at least 1 Gladiator Beast in your hand is enough, and to be honest, I really don't think that you won't draw any Glads turn 1/2. It's like how nobody uses Catastor in Nekroz because they have no use for it; Proving Ground is only worth it in Tigerless builds where people run multiples of Respite, and it sees no use in normal Glads because it simply clogs your hand (essentially being a dead draw) if you already have a Glad Beast in the first place.

So 1 card that acts as ANY GB is bad then because?

Every single Gladiator Beast in the deck can tag in/out (minus Secutor), so it doesn't really matter what Gladiator Beast you acquire, as long as you have 1. Add that with Moon Mirror shield, and every Gladiator Beast is pretty much the same.

As a side note,

-3 Waboku
+3 Safe Zone

HOW IS SAFE ZONE BETTER THAN WABOKU.

Waboku protects everything and prevents you from taking damage so you can tag out that turn.

Safe zone only protects 1 thing and you still take damage.

You use waboku for safe tag outs, not to keep something alive.  Yes safe zone stops card effects, but it's also bad that you can't attack directly with the monster and if they have an MST you are screwed anyway.

You have a point about solemn.  I was more thinking that Destruction would replace bottomless, and then I would have 2 cards that burn me a significant amount.  If it's a question of replacing warning....I think I would rather have warning.  It's not as detrimental to the opponent (the burn can win games), but it's a lot safer to negate a summon rather than destroy a monster.

-1 Solemn

+1 emergency call

??? More prism is good right?

Prisma is good yes, but he isn't the greatest by himself. the main reason he's in here is to combo with Test Tiger for turn 1 Gyzerus plays. Prisma > dump Bestiari > SS Tiger > Tag for Darius > Grab Bestiari = Gyzerus.

I think, if anything, I would want to drop prisma to 2 and add an e call or rota for more deck thinning power.

Also, Safe Zone vs Waboku is a preference thing, I just like it more because it can be more versatile than Waboku in some cases such as when you summon a Gyzarus/Herkalinos. In addition, it's not like you're going to have more than 1 Gladiator Beast out on the field at the same time for Waboku to access its full usage. I do agree that you still take damage, but if you are summoning a Darius/Laquari/Bestiari, how much damage are you really going to take?

You can try out 2 Waboku and 1 Safe Zone, instead of just replacing Waboku entirely.
Also, you may think I'm crazy, but Chariot can go down to 2 since you can already recycle it with Equeste.
